A generic USB 3.0 flash drive with an aluminium swivel cover for protection when not in use. It performs well without giving outstanding data throughput, but very capable of being used for storing data to be used on multiple machines.
I haven’t needed a USB in years especially with cloud now so readily available. This does exactly as expected however, 64GB is plenty of capacity and I had no issues with file transfers
For the price not to bad and decent speeds for USB3
Ordered for review this flash pen drive to test the read write speeds. on transferring a 43 GB file it took just under 18 minutes, this works out at near 2400 Mbit/s so extremely fast compared to USB2. The same file copied back to my SSD was near 3200 Mbit/s so again as expected for this type of drive.
At under 10 this is good value if you want cost effective fast file transfers that is backwards compatible with USB2 so a 5 star product.
Weirdly, this arrived in a box with a plastic insert inside, which I think could be made better as there is a lot of card and plastic waste here just for 1 USB.
Inside is the stick itself, along with a loop ring to attach to a lanyard, and a small label to place and write on.
USBs these days are getting cheaper by the dozen, but finding the right one can be pretty strenuous, I ran this one through h2testw and the results speak for themselves, I can confirm this has the right storage, the writing process took a little while, but understandable as it as handling 64GB. While in use, a red LED will power on to indicate that it is working.
Overall, a great drive.
Basic USB flash drive 64 gig with 58.5 gig usable. Comes pre formatted, out of habit I formatted it anyway to to exFAT so its compatible with everything. Glows red when plugged in, comes with a key ring and white sticker neither of which I used. Usual protective rotational shield to protect the USB end when not in use. Basic yet functional, quality is fine but nothing special. Sadly I’ve not got USB 3.0 port on my laptop only USB 2.0 but it operate at read / write speeds expected of 2.0. Operates just fine playing MP4 files plugged into the back of my TV, data transfer facilitates buffering free playback. Great budget USB flash drive.
This is an excellent very strong USB stick. It is purple in colour and the 64 gigabyte which is great because it can store lots of data.
Along with this USB stick comes along two great little items:
A keyring to hook onto the stick and enable that fits on perfectly to write what this stick contains.
The stick is great for loading on photos, songs, movies and files.
It’s very steady stick and it doesn’t fall out of the laptop every minute like most of my other sticks do
It is very quick to respond to the laptop too and I’m really making great use of this item.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who asks me.
This 64GB USB stick arrived pre formatted to just under 64GB in one exFAT volume. I found that file transfer speeds were good and I had no problems reading various file types. There is a red light highlighting when the stick is reading or writing data which I find useful. I like the purple colour as too many USBs are either black or silver, and at 7.99 it is good value.
This is indicated to be USB 3.0 with ASolid as the manufacturer, though it did not always want to connect as a USB 3.0 device, so performance would be limited to USB 2.0 at times. Always test flash memory products with software like fakeflashtest, h2testw, checkflash, to verify if they actually have the capacity that they claim to have. Linux users can also try f3probe command for a quick assessment, and h2testw can also run though wine.
Both runs pictured were made using the same USB 3.0 port, with the lower performance caused by it using USB 2.0, not 3.0.
The USB stick I received did pass this testing with around 125MB/s read and 30MB/s write over the course of the test. The raw capacity is only 62.9 decimal GB, which formats to 58.6GB actual, using exFAT. But realistically, if an equivalent product from one of the big brands is similarly priced anyway, then I would not bother with this one.
