Impressive performance from the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor The body is made from aluminium with a plastic case back, passed the MIL-STD-810H drop and shock tests, and is water-resistant to about 50 meters.
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro as with previous Pro variants has a dual screen configuration, with the main OLED screen being big, bright, and colourful, and the second low-power monochrome layer taking care of the always-on function. The second screen shows time, date, heart rate, step count, battery information, and whether there are uncleared notifications. What’s more, twisting the crown reveals additional health data, making it functional and cool while saving battery life (and it has customisable back-light colours).
Some of the improvements made to the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro:
– The watch strap has had a significant but subtle refresh; now featuring many more holes that are spaced closer together allowing for better wrist positioning/comfort (see pictures attached).
– Bigger crown and now matte coloured; it feels more rigid and stiffer compared to the Pro 5 variant and positive.
– Wake from deep sleep seems to be very snappy; making it easy to check notifications.
– The health apps are more consolidated; though they are still split in to separate components navigating between them and accessing them from one another seems to have been improved.
– New colour scheme for the watch body and strap: Slate and it’s very slick.
The only downside that stands out to me however, the size may put some people off. It is a large watch and the sensor positioning that protrudes from the watch body makes feel large. The new and improved strap on the Pro 5 Enduro helps here somewhat the additional holes more closely placed together make it much easier to adjust to find a better fit.
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro does actually improve on some of the Pro 5 functionality and addresses some of the community criticisms which is very nice to see.
If you’re looking for a high-performance smartwatch with excellent battery life.
Overall, I’m impressed with the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro.
I’ve been looking for a new Android watch for a while and opted for the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro after a lot of internet research. Some of the features that make the Ticwatch stand out for me are the dual screen, battery life, tonnes of health and fitness features for tracking all kinds of workouts and it also syncs with my Mobvoi home treadmill SE. The watch comes in 2 colours. Black and grey. I chose the grey and it looks great. The watch itself is like a matt silver colour and the strap is a light grey. It’s a silicone strap with a proper clasp, not one of those annoying sports straps that you have to tuck in and rip half the hair off on your wrist!
The dual screen is a total game changer. The AMOLED display is big and bright and is easy to navigate. When the screen is not in use the dual screen comes on. It’s like an old school analogue watch but it still has loads of features on this screen like steps, heart rate, calories, battery etc. and you can scroll between different metrics on the dual screen. You can also change the colour of the background backlight of the dual screen to whatever colour you want which is a nice feature. The rotating crown is really easy to use. I’ve tried other smartwatches with rotating crowns and this is by far the best. It just works much better than other watches and because it’s slightly bigger it’s not fiddly to use.
The battery life is superb. I’m getting around 3 full days in smart watch mode and it’s due to the dual screen saving the battery when it’s not in use. If the battery drops below 5% it will switch into essential mode which will keep the watch working for longer on the dual screen. Other smartwatches are only getting around a day of battery before having to charge. This means I am able to go away for the weekend without having to worry about charging the watch.
There are 111(!) different workout modes to choose from. Whatever you do, you’ll find it on the watch. For outdoor workouts that need to connect to GPS, I have found it connects really easily and when I check back to see how it tracked, it’s very accurate. As well as the workouts you also get TicHealth which has your goals for the day (steps, minutes etc), calories burnt, stairs climbed, distance, heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels and sleep tracking. You can also customise these features too.
I’ve got the Mobvoi home treadmill SE and the watch syncs perfectly with it and your metrics display on the watch in real time as you are running.
Charging is quick and the charger attaches easily so no fiddling around with it.
Google wallet works well with the watch and I haven’t had any issues using it.
If you want a top spec smartwatch at a really reasonable price I’d seriously consider the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro.
I wonder if most smartwatch wearers like me have suffered from “Battery Anxiety”, i.e. when you get really concerned about how long before you have to charge up your device.
Having used my Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro for over two months now, I am very pleased with the battery life of this watch. It saves power in the way it operates its watchface displays. Unless you set it to be on continuously, the face is dimmed with a minimal display, but it uses two displays. For the main display, there is the option to use the in built displays, plus there are loads of alternative watch faces, which can be very easily downloaded.
The watch switches automatically from the main display to a secondary, less bright one to save juice. Not having a continuously “bright” display must save a lot of battery power because I can get well in excess of 3 days with full usage, including exercise and overnight sleep tracking. Speaking of sleep tracking, I find that the inbuilt suite of health & fitness apps to be very good. “Ticsleep” gives me all the info I need about my sleeping habits and I love the way the data is presented, as is the case with the other Tic apps. If, however, you prefer Google’s approach to these things, the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro happily shares its data with Google Fit (I for one will be sticking with the proprietary apps, which I think are all great).
When you do come to charging the watch, it is conveniently very fast.
The display is large and clear (1.43 in).
It comes with a comfortable strap, so no problem in wearing the timepiece all day.
The watch’s Mobvoi’s phone app linked up with my phone without any diffculty at all.
The watch runs Google’s WearOS so there is the vast choice of apps that can be downloaded from the Play Store and used with your smartphone.
As well as accessing the main watch display and your notifications from the crown on the right hand side of the watch, next to it there is also a button which you can press to access your apps. You can then use the crown to scroll through them to the one you want.
For monitoring activity and fitness the watch automatically monitors your daily steps and should you require to monitor a particular sport you can select it from the “Ticexercise” app. This has a large selection of all manner of surprising sports and exercises which you can select direct from the watch on your wrist.
See my photos.
GPS is built into the watch which is great for activities outdoors and means that you are not reliant on your smartphone to track your location.
This watch provides everything I need, and very efficently indeed, with well designed visual displays.
Coupled with its long battery life, it’s excellent.
“Battery Anxiety” over!
Highly recommended.
I ordered this as a replacement for my ticwatch pro5 and to be fair it was been a worthy replacement, Iv used it daily for a few weeks now and only have a couple of niggles with the watch but nothing major or product breaking (i’ll get to them in a bit).
All in all iv been happy with the watch, its as tough as the Pro 5 when used as daily wear for work, gym etc.
It connects up to the treadmill flawlessly tracking all aspects of my excersise.
Battery life is just as good as the Pro 5 with it easilly lasting 4 days on 1 charge, this can probably be upped to 5 or 6 if you limit the non essential apps running.
They have seemed to listen also on the length of the strap, it appears to be around 4mm longer than the Pro 5, not a lot but it does make a difference when you have larger wrists.
The watch in general is the same size as the Pro 5 so if you were comfortable enough with the size of this then the Pro 5 Enduro will suit you just fine.
The pros from what I can tell are
Great battery life
Good connectivity between other divices
Comfortable to wear all day
Tough face and materials
Accurate tracking for steps etc
Customiseable faces
pretty much polug and play with your android phone
Now on to the cons
Firstly,
the watch goes in to essential mode when you go to sleep, there is probably a way to turn this off and prevent this but iv not had time to delve in to the settings to look for it.
Secondly,
All of the good watch faces on Timeshow (Ticwatch’s own watch face app) are now behind a subscription service, any previous faces you purchased on the Pro 5 are available but it doesnt recognise your account right off the bat and is honestly a bit of a pain in the ass to transfer the faces from the Pro 5 to the Pro 5 Enduro, but the support are happy to walk you through the process if you wish to carry on.
This is quite sad as if they had just left new faces available to purchase individually alongside the subscription they would have made a lot more money from me yearly than they will now as I dont ever see a full subscription as an option for me.
Im not the greatest with a camera but iv added a couple of shots of the watch and added a couple of comparisson shots with the Pro 5 side by side to allow people to see thats there is pretty much no difference, all of the upgrades are mostly software in nature and work well.
Dont let my niggle with Timeshow put you off, there are still some free faces available that are pretty decent, i would just prefer to buy the faces I like instead of having to subscribe for lots I dont want.
I have had only black watches with black straps until now, and I thought I would give another colour a try. I am so pleased I chose this one because this is a beautiful watch.
The strap’s construction and design are so comfortable for me that I can wear it continuously, day and night, allowing me to utilize all the monitoring features. The strap is 24 mm in size so it can be changed easily if one wants to.
Battery life is amazing. The advertised battery life is a bit conservative, as I charge the watch roughly every 4 to 5 days. I have everything enabled: 24h heart rate monitoring, 24h SPo2 monitoring, sleep monitoring and automatic exercise detection. Speaking of the latter, it still makes me smile when I pick up the pace a bit when in a hurry and it detects and displays the “walk” statistics on the ULP display.
The workouts can be tracked on the ULP display too so you don’t need to keep the OLED display active or fiddle with the screen once you’ve started your activity. Another useful feature is the changing colours of the backlight to monitor your heart rate at a glance.
I like how all the data about exercise, sleep, heart rate, steps, calories, distance, blood oxygen, weekly goals (and a few more) is integrated in a single app. You don’t need to go and figure out what’s what in many different apps. It’s all there, clickable and ready to give you more details for each section.
In bright sunlight the ULP display is perfectly legible and the OLED has no issues either thanks to automatic brightness. The backlight for the ULP display has automatic brightness as well – it increases the visibility in well lit rooms and doesn’t burn your retina at night .
The interface is clean and snappy. There is no lag or any hiccup when navigating any of the menus or opening and using any apps. The crown is something I didn’t expect to use that much but it is more useful than initially thought. Scrolling through the notifications or the menus, plus switching between the modes on the ULP screen is a breeze with the rotating crown.
The sapphire crystal is an interesting addition to the watch. It’s not something that stands out immediately, as you can’t really tell the difference between this or some other type of glass, but I expect it to last a long time without any scratches.
I recently got my hands on the new TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Slate, and I must say, it’s an impressive evolution from its predecessor. This latest model has refined the features that made the previous versions popular while adding a premium feel that truly sets it apart.
Design and Build Quality:
The first thing you’ll notice about the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Slate is its sleek, robust design. The Enduro Slate edition comes with a durable stainless steel frame and a toughened Gorilla Glass screen, providing both elegance and resilience. The slightly slimmer profile and refined bezels give it a more modern and sophisticated look, making it suitable for both casual and formal settings.
Display:
The dual-layer display technology has always been a standout feature for TicWatch, and this model is no different. The AMOLED display is vibrant and sharp, perfect for viewing in all lighting conditions. The FSTN LCD layer, which activates in essential mode, is now even clearer, ensuring you can easily read your watch outdoors in bright sunlight while conserving battery.
Performance and Battery Life:
Powered by the latest Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Slate delivers smooth performance and quick responsiveness. Apps open faster, transitions are fluid, and multitasking is seamless. Battery life is where this watch truly shines. With the improved battery management system, I comfortably get through three full days of heavy use on a single charge. The essential mode extends this even further, making it perfect for long trips without a charger.
Fitness and Health Tracking:
Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the upgraded sensors for more accurate tracking. The heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, and GPS are more precise than ever. The addition of new workout modes and improved algorithms means tracking your fitness progress is now even more detailed and insightful. I found the sleep tracking feature particularly useful, providing comprehensive data on my sleep quality and suggestions for improvement.
Software and Features:
Running on the latest Wear OS, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Slate benefits from a clean, intuitive interface and access to a vast array of apps through the Google Play Store.
Connectivity:
Connectivity is robust with the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Slate. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC all work flawlessly, and the watch supports Google Pay, which is incredibly convenient for contactless payments.
Final Thoughts:
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Slate is a significant upgrade over its predecessors, delivering a more premium feel with enhancements in performance, battery life, and overall user experience. It’s a versatile smartwatch that excels in both form and function, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to invest in a high-quality wearable. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast, a tech-savvy professional, or someone who simply appreciates well-crafted gadgets, this watch is sure to impress.
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro took last year’s solid offering and refined it by slimming down the device, reworking the crown, and tweaking the software. Much like last year, Mobvoi created an amazing watch that does a lot well. The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform and has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, making it one of the most powerful Wear OS smartwatches you can buy. It has Google’s Wear OS 3.5 software installed and pairs with the Mobvoi Health app on your phone The screen is very responsive, the software is very fast, and the rotating crown makes it easy to navigate. There are a lot of apps and options, though, so it’s worth taking time to set up the Tiles, which simplifies viewing and use; scrolling through the long, packed menu — mostly filled with Mobvoi’s own apps, such as a privacy app, a treadmill exercise app, a compass, a meditation app, and a lot more. You can use this TicWatch to monitor your blood oxygen levels, track your sleeping, and more. It can also be used it to track your snoring if you want to.The Pro 5 Enduro is currently available in black, or ‘Obsidian’ in Mobvoi-eze, or Slate. The Slate is light green. The crown that directs the OS by presses to choose, and rotations to scroll. You can do the same with on-screen finger swipes and taps. The top button can be programmed to open an app or function. TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is priced exactly the same as its predecessor. It’s available now and you can get it from either Mobvoi directly or Amazon. For me this watch is worth a 5 star .
I am a Ticwatch user since 2 years ago. Started with TW3 Pro Ultra then upgraded to TW5 Pro and now, TW5 Enduro!
I can definitely say that this is a more premium version of TW5 Pro. I would be honest, this is like the ideal TW5 Pro that I dream of!
The TW5 Enduro version has a more comfortable and premium feel silicone band which is definitely way better than TW5 (you can see my review of TW5 Pro and this is one of the thing that I note). The rotating crown also gets bigger and more easily accessible. The weight of TW5 Enduro is a bit heavier compared to TW5 Pro, but I would say that I prefer it more since I do love watches that are heavier (personal preferences). Battery life is fantastic as well as it lasts more compared to TW5 Pro (Yes, it lasts more. TW5 Pro has a very strong battery life but this one is better!).
Lastly, the color. At first I was hesitant to buy the Slate color but ended up buying it anyway so i can distinguish which one of my watch is the Enduro version and the TW5 Pro. However when I unbox it, I am extremely happy that I bought this color because it is really good! The bezel which was colored in matte gray complements perfectly with the strap!
Overall, I am very happy with TW5 Enduro. One thing that I would advise is if you already have TW5 Pro, dont worry, TW5 Pro is a very good smart watch. TW5 Enduro is just the improved version of it and don’t regret your purchse of TW5 Pro. I would personally use TW5 Pro for my everyday use (and office use as it looks formal) but TW5 Enduro for exercise and gym. If you haven’t purchased a TW5 Pro and planning to upgrade from TW3 or other smartwatch, purchase the Enduro version as the difference in price is really worth it! If you’re gonna ask me why I bought TW5 Enduro when in fact I already have TW5 Pro, the answer is just simply that I am a big fan of Ticwatch and I know that this would last for years to come!
My old watch (Fitbit Versa 2) died on me and I was looking for a smartwatch that had more features than the Fitbit but also had a decent battery life. The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro feels like a really well built watch. I love the rotating crown. It’s really easy to use and not too small where it feels really fiddly. My husband has an Apple Watch and the crown is really small on it and it’s not great for navigating apps and screens. The rotating crown is also a button and there’s another button above it. Both are easy to use and very responsive, unlike my Fitbit!
There are 2 screens which I think are great and this helps save the battery. The lock screen is an LCD display. It’s easy to read in bright sunlight and has the date, time, battery, heart rate and more. You can also customise the background colour on this screen which is really cool. When you receive a message or when you have lift to wake enabled or click the crown or other button the OLED display screen activates. The screen is really bright and there are loads of different watch faces to choose from.
The performance is great. The apps and screens work really well and are really smooth switching between different apps.
There are loads of health apps and workout modes too. There are Mobvoi’s own health apps which I’ve tried and they work great or you can download Google/Android ones too if you prefer. I’ve been trying out the Mobvoi ones and I actually think I’ll keep using them as they’re really easy to use. They track my workouts really well and the GPS is quick to connect. I’ve connected the watch to my treadmill which has been great for keeping track of my indoor workouts.
The battery is one of the best features on this watch. I’m getting around 4 days in smartwatch mode and when the watch drops below a certain percentage it switches to essential mode which will run for another few days on low battery. You can also set it to switch to essential mode during the night to save on battery. I hate having to continually charge a smartwatch and this works really well for me.
TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is a beautiful looking watch, I owned the TicWatch Pro 5 before this so there has not been many upgrades compared to the previous version, but the improvements they have made are really worth it.ScreenWhat drew me to this watch was the updated glass as I use to put screen protectors on my previous watches after getting a deep scratch on a watch and it ruined the display. Whereas now it has sapphire glass the watch is a lot more resistant to any scratches keeping the watch face looking perfect.DesignThe watch strap has been updated and feels really nice, I have had issues in the past with smartwatch straps causing a rash on my wrist over time but I have worn this watch every day for the month I have currently owned it and haven’t seen any more rashes on my wrist. The new crown design feels a lot more comfortable to use and really smooth when scrolling through the large number of apps on the watch.FitnessThis watch has every sensor you can think of to track all your vitals, it can track heart rate, stress, blood oxygen levels, VO2 max and your sleep. Other than for charging I have not taken this watch off since I bought it, it can track over 100 different workouts and it is extremely accurate, I go to the gym every day and have currently used it to track weight lifting, cycling, running, swimming and hiking and have used Chest heart rate monitors as well as the machines monitors and in comparison the heart rate and calories burned are almost identical with max a 1-5 point difference.BatteryThe battery life on these watches has always been amazing with its dual screen maximising usage to 45 days between charges if used in essential mode. Somehow, they been able to make the battery last even longer and with all sensors set to 24hr monitoring and tracking workouts every day I easily get 4 days been charges. The watch has a lot of customisations to stretch battery life so if you schedule essential mode over night when you do not need access to all the apps and choosing the sensors you want to constantly track your vitals you can push the battery to 5 days between charges. I have not had a different brand smart watch last more than 2 days between charges, so this watch is amazing for battery life.SummaryI already had the TicWatch pro 5 which was an amazing watch in the first place but the updates that have made to the TicWatch Por 5 enduro is worth the purchase. The increased battery life smarter look and feel of the watch and the sapphire crystal glass makes it one of the best watches I have ever owned, and I don’t have to worry about the glass getting scratched during workouts or when out on my mountain bike and its waterproof so no need to take it off when swimming or showering.
It doesn’t matter how many times I see it, the dual screen technology of the TicWatch series are still marvelous for me.
The battery life is pretty amazing compared to my previous daily driver wihch was a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 classic 46mm LTE, the TicWatch can easily survive for 3 days versus the 16-20 hours of the other one.
The watch is comfortable to wear and good-looking, the rotating crown is good to use, I like that there’s still some physical inputs existing on devices, not everything is just touches and gestures.
I’m happy that the function of the rotating crown can be set: you can use it to pull up/down notifications and quick settings, or rotate between screens.
Wear OS is stable and fast, I didn’t notice any slow-downs or lags and I’m quite glad that the devs are actually listening to the feedbacks on both hardware (to have more physical inputs) and software sides: in my previous review I mentioned that the sleep mode may have at least an option to disable the backlight for wrist movements during sleep, and now it has got better: the watch only turns on the backlight if I’m rotating the crown.
Perhaps a bit better co-operation with the phone could improve the overall experience, for example the synchronization of modes and settings between the phone and the watch; if I toggle DND on the watch, the phone should also set its DND mode, and vice versa but these features can be accessed easily from the quick settings, so it’s not that big deal.
The automatic tracking of exercises (I tried only walking) compared to the similar feature of Samsung could be a bit more precise: for a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) the tracking started a bit late and didn’t stop immediately when I stopped walking, this may need some fine-tuning, but overall works well.
However I didn’t use them too often, I miss the LTE capability and the blood pressure monitoring.
The wireless charging could be a nice extra, but that’s still not a problem when I only need to charge my watch max. twice a week.
To summarize my experiences, I can say that these watches are still one of the best ones on the market, so it’s not a coincidence that this is my 3rd TicWatch (had gen 1 and gen 3 before) and I’m looking forward to
seeing the future of the brand.
This is a great watch for its seamless integration with WhatsApp, allowing for easy reading and replying to messages with efficient typing. Its exceptional battery life lasts 3 to 4 days on a single charge. Accurate maps and a reliable compass make it ideal for navigation during walks or runs, while syncing maps between your phone and watch simplifies city exploration. Google Home support works flawlessly, controlling smart devices like my smart bulb with ease.
The dual-display feature ensures you always see the time without draining the main screen’s battery. This unique feature allows customization of the low-power secondary screen color, which remains easy to read outdoors. Recent improvements let third-party developers add details to this secondary display, enhancing its versatility and usefulness. Multiple screens can be accessed by rotating the crown, providing additional information without switching to the main display.
Overall, the smartwatch performs brilliantly with quick navigation, a bright screen, long battery life, and a wide variety of downloadable apps, making it highly functional and efficient.
Mobvoi have made an incremental update to the previous Ticwatch Pro 5 to now include a sleeker design, programmable side button for a shortcut, slightly better battery & increased durability.
The Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro has a very comfortable fit to the wrist with a silicon based strap. The watch itself seems very light when wearing it leading you to forgot that you have it in. The raised bezel is very subtle but still gives suitable protection with a Sapphire Crystal screen.
Performance is great with the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1, I haven’t seen any stuttering with Wear OS 3.5 which although isn’t the latest is buttery smooth & fast.
Excellent battery life, I have almost every sensor turned on with constant monitoring & I end up with approximately 30% at the end of the 3rd day. This is due to a scheduled essential mode which is automated if the smartwatch doesn’t see any activity for some time. The Essential mode uses the LCD screen for low powered consumption which still monitors your heartrate, steps, blood oxygen sleep & compass.
Training mode can be automatic of manual, if you start an activity the smartwatch will start monitoring & will display a different colour depending on your heartrate. You can also use the pre-installed “TicExercise” app to manually select an plethora of activities (Running, Swimming & Yoga are just a few to mention). I was very impressed with the swimming monitoring, it was very accurate & you can feel safe with water resistance at 5ATM.
With 1 tap you can measure your Heart-rate, Blood Oxygen, Respiratory & Stress Levels which I find very useful for an indicator of how I’m feeling
Durability is stated as MIL-STD 810H not that I would want to test this masterful timepiece.
Sleep detection is very accurate & you shouldn’t have to worry about batter life as this is done using it’s low consumption mode. It also has snore detection if you want to record your snoring habits.
Wear OS gives access to the Google Playstore of if you require additional apps & watchfaces (I recommend TimeShow).
Specs:
Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1
RAM: 2GB / ROM: 32GB
1.43″ 466*466 326ppi
GPS+Beidou+Glonass+Galileo+QZSS
Battery size 628mAh
Speaker & Mic for calls & alarms
NFC for Google payments
I am very please with my purchase & would recommend this to anyone who would like a high powered smartwatch which has the elegance to be on your wrist whilst functional for physical activities.
I bought this watch because the battery lasts way longer than the competitors and it supports WhatsApp. The battery really does last ages. I charge it every 3 to 4 days. It supports WhatsApp so I can read and reply to messages on my watch. The keyboard is small but that’s to be expected and I can type on it just fine.
It has maps installed which is useful when out walking, GPS is accurate as is the compass. When using maps to navigate on your phone the directions come through to the watch. This is great for navigating in the city so as to not be getting your phone out all the time.
I tested out the altitude readings and once calibrated at home it stayed pretty much correct throughout my walk in the hills.
I discovered that it supports Google home and can now control my tuya light switches, sockets and hive thermostat from my watch. I don’t need to carry my phone around the house now. Once the watch and phone are connected to WiFi the watch works away from the phone. Bluetooth connectivity to the phone works great when out and about. Notifications, calls and messages all come through promptly. Make sure the app stays running on your phone and it should just work.
The oled screen is crystal clear, it feels like a premium product with no cheap plastic in sight. I’ve been doing some construction on my house and garden. the watch is unscathed, it seems to be really robust and the ingress protection is legit. It’s been dusty and under water and works flawlessly.
The rotating crown feels smoother than the previous model, it’s easy to use and a great feature. There’s a great selection of watch faces available and they’re very easy to customise, the colours can be changed along with the data displayed so I can have it show the stats I’d like to see rather than just default ones.
The lcd screen that it uses to save power works great, the back light colour can be changed and rotating the crown on the lcd screen cycles through some additional modes.
If watching videos or playing music on your phone the watch shows media controls which is a nice feature.
There is a wide selection of apps available on the app store on the watch. It’s really a great product and I’d recommend buying one.
Unfortunately I caught the strap of my Ticwatch 5 Pro while sailing, the clasp broke and I lost it, so I ordered a 5 Pro Enduro as I’d be lost without it.
As with the old one, it works flawlessly keeping track of my exercising, mostly steps and cycling, and I use it to pay for almost everything with Google wallet.
Some differences I’ve found from the last watch are …
The snoring monitor provided some invaluable feedback about which one of us was snoring and when
The compass seems more accurate.
The strap feels better quality and looks better and the crown wheel also feels a little better
The battery life is fantastic. One thing worth mentioning is that my previous Ticwatch 5 hadn’t lost any of its battery capacity during the year I’d had it which is a testament to the quality of Mobvoi watches.
The exercise apps have been amalgamated and some new features added that I’m still getting to grips with.
At one point I had some issues with notifications from my Xiaomi phone and now they work fine, not sure it was due to a software update along the line or it’s the new watch but it’s perfect now.
The new watch faces are beautiful.
All in all, a facelift product that shows the commitment of Mobvoi to continually update and improve their products.
If I had to give one negative then I preferred the charging lead for the original Ticwatch pro models where the watch clipped into a dock securely as sometimes with the new models I attach the magnetic cable and when I set the watch down it gets disconnected and the watch isn’t charged but not a problem really.
Tip, since the pro5 I’ve been setting the watch to automatically switch to essential mode while I’m sleeping and this makes a huge difference to battery duration, this does mean that the watch won’t receive notifications until you unlock it in the morning, I got used to doing it fairly quickly, but I wonder if there’s a way Mobvoi could change this so it knows the watch hasn’t been removed from the wrist and doesn’t need unlocked ?
My son was looking at a smartwatch and to be fair I wanted to upgrade my previous TicWatch. He ended up with my old one and I purchased the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro, and after wearing it for two weeks, I am totally shocked on how Mobvoi can upgrade the TicWatch Pro 5 anymore than it already is!
Right out of the box, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro feels robust and well-crafted. The case is made from durable materials and it features a stunning 1.43-inch OLED display. The watch is built to last, with a water resistance rating that makes it suitable for swimming and a rugged design that can handle tough conditions. For me, it’s perfect whether I’m off to the gym or heading out for a swim and I can see the rugged enhancements made from the TicWatch Pro 5. The strap actually feels a lot batter designed to every other TicWatch I have owned before.
The dual-display setup is one of my favourite and best features. The primary OLED screen is bright and colourful, ideal for everyday use. Checking notifications from my watch instead of getting my phone out and unlocking it has been a game changer. There is also an ultra-low-power display mode that helps conserve battery life without sacrificing the always-on functionality. It’s incredibly handy for quickly checking the time or basic stats without fully waking up the watch.
In terms of performance, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is fantastic. It’s powered by a Snapdragon processor that ensures everything runs smoothly, from opening apps to scrolling through menus. The overall experience is seamless, with no noticeable lag.
The watch excels in health and fitness tracking, offering continuous heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen levels, sleep tracking, and stress measurements. One standout feature is the “health snapshot,” which quickly measures five key health metrics. However, it doesn’t include heart rate variability tracking, which some fitness enthusiasts might miss.
The battery life is where this watch truly shines. In smart mode, it can last up to 90 hours, and in the essential mode, it can go up to 45 days on a single charge. In my experience, I easily got 3-4 days of use with regular activities, which is impressive for a smartwatch, let alone a watch that has all the features that the Enduro has.
Mobvoi has made improvements to their software with the new TicHealth app, which consolidates various health tracking functions into a single platform. The app is great to use and makes it easy to access detailed health metrics – I actually prefer this app to Google Wear!
It is priced high, but the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is a PREMIUM smartwatch that offers excellent battery life, a beautiful display, and robust performance. While there are minor software quirks and the absence of Google Assistant might be disappointing for some (that’s Google, not Mobvoi holding that back!), its rugged build and comprehensive feature set make it a strong contender, especially for those who prioritize battery longevity and durability. I do not regret upgrading at all!
Disclaimer: The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro was provided as a review unit, but all comments made are my own and did not require pre-approval.
I’ve been a user of Mobvoi products since the TicWatch 2 and they have come a long way and matured into one of the best alternative smartwatch providers on the market compared to those offered by Samsung and Fossil.
My last was the TicWatch 3, one of the best smartwatches I had used in a long time, mainly for the great specifications and the amazing battery life.
Build Quality:
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is Mobvoi’s best offering yet. The watch has an excellent build quality compared to their previous models. The watch has a black metal frame using 7000 series aluminium with an attractive pattern design on the bezel. The screen is protected by sapphire glass, giving this smartwatch amazing scratch resistance and with the 5ATM water-resistant rating, you don’t need to worry about getting the watch wet.
The customisable button gives you control to personalise how you interact with the smartwatch and the rotating crown makes navigation on WearOS natural.
Performance:
In the past, WearOS has always had its odd moments of crashing or just randomly stuttering when navigating different apps. With the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro, I’ve had the smoothest experience yet. The Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor with the generous 2GB of RAM probably has something to do with this, but the refinements in the latest WearOS 3.5 have a role to play as well. Overall, my experience has been great and on par with Apple’s smartwatch.
Display:
A large 1.43″ AMOLED screen gives you great viewing angles, vibrant colours and inky blacks. One feature I especially like on the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is the ambient light sensor meaning I don’t have to constantly adjust the brightness manually depending on the environment I’m in. The sensor responds fast and I’ve not been in a situation where I struggled to see what’s on the screen.
The secondary LCD has improved so much since my TicWatch Pro 3, the backlight is brighter and clearer when in use and now even supports displaying more information. This is a unique feature of Mobvoi and is something which always draws me to their Smartwatches over the competition.
Battery Life:
With a 628mAh battery and an efficient chipset, I’ve achieved 7 days of light to medium use with ease. With the endurance mode setting, I could easily push it to over 10 days and I’d still be able to use the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro as a basic digital watch thanks to its secondary screen.
For charging, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro comes with Mobvoi’s standard magnetic charger. At this price point, I would like to have seen wireless charging support, but given that the watch only takes a few minutes of charge to get over a full day of use it’s a non-issue.
Software:
As mentioned earlier WearOS has improved a lot and Mobvoi’s software tweaks have made Android-based smartwatches worthy of competing with Apple’s offering. My only worry will be with the long-term support and hope that the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro will continue to receive feature updates and bug fixes.
In terms of setup, you no longer need to download the Google WearOS app, everything can be completed via the Mobvoi Health app. I often find little need to use the app as the TichWatch Pro 5 Enduro has all the health apps I need pre-installed and the large screen displays plenty of information, like my sleep health, heart rate, key exercise metrics and so much more.
Connectivity:
Honestly, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro has everything you’d expect of a premium smartwatch. The key ones being GPS if you’re a user of apps like Strava and NFC making payments a breeze without the need of your phone.
For some people, the lack of LTE might be a deal breaker, but personally for me this feature offers little value.
Overall:
One of the best Android-powered smartwatches on the market. A premium offering from Mobvoi, but compared to the competition, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is the best value for the price. With exceptional battery life, a multitude of features, wide connectivity and strong build quality. You cannot go wrong with the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro.
Having had the Wear OS 3.5 release on my phone for some time I’m starting to get a little frustrated waiting to see when the new Wear OS 4 will drop, cue Mobvoi with an interim new device to keep me busy while I wait. Now, I must start by saying that this watch is not earth shatteringly different from the Pro 5, however if you are looking at the Pro 5 then this one is certainly worth considering instead.
Out of the box this looks very similar to the Pro 5, however the redesigned bezel and crown do make the watch appear more premium and the smaller more subtle detail on the rotating crown also adds to this. I will say again, as with the Pro 5 that a metal strap would have really enhanced this premium feel further BUT my main problem with previous silicone straps (sweaty wrist) has gone with the redesigned strap, the new material and the ridged internal face is both comfortable to wear and provides enough ventilation to easily allow the watch to be worn all day with no discomfort, a BIG step forward in my opinion.
The excellent dual display remains and is as responsive as ever on the new watch scrolling through sensor values using the crown while not having to turn on the full AMOLED screen, continued great use of your hardware there Mobvoi. Now I’m not sure if this is just me (the hardware hasn’t changed in this respect as far as I know) but the overall responsiveness of the touchscreen seems sharper, more precise, the scrolling through apps and lists on any screen just feels tighter and better implemented, like I say that could be just my perception.
There are a couple of other tweaks that are not immediately obvious, the new screen material Sapphire Crystal glass really does resist the greasiest of fingers from leaving a mark, having had the watch only a week, I’ve yet to “need” the scratch resistance and hope that I don’t ever need it but it’s there as an improvement over the previous Corning Gorilla glass. There is also included a new snoring detection feature, now I don’t snore (unless you ask my wife) so I’ve not yet tried this, but if I can get past the “sleeping with my watch on” will certainly give it a go and I’m told there may be a free 12-month premium software offer to tempt me on that. The battery life seems to have been improved too, even after a week I’ve only had to charge it twice and that includes a lot of playing trying to find the new features and differences.
Overall whilst it’s not a hugely different watch to the Pro 5, the extras are definitely an improvement as you’d expect, maybe not worth replacing a Pro 5 with though. That said for me the new “fluororubber” (whatever that material is) strap is a real game changer for me, I know I could’ve changed the strap anyway but knowing that it is right, out of the box, is certainly a positive! Just need to get Wear OS 4 onto it now and I’ll be a very happy boy… until the next watch is out at least!!!
I upgraded to this watch from the ticwatch pro 2020, and I’ve highlighted my thoughts about how this watch improves on it
Battery Life: The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro offers good battery life, especially useful for trips like holidays. Upgrading from the TicWatch Pro 2020, it’s nice to have more flexibility, and from my usage so far the watch will do at least 2 days in smart mode and much more in essential mode.
Performance: The new processor shows noticeable improvements. The watch runs smoothly without the stutters and hangups I experienced on my old watch. The 8GB of storage is plenty for my offline playlists with YouTube Music.
Essential Mode/2nd Screen: The 2nd screen is very practical. With tilt to wake on, I can still see the time and date easily, and the date format is correct for UK users. The battery life in essential mode seems reliable, and I believe it could last the claimed 30+ days on a charge based on my limited use.
Durability: The Enduro model seems to be pretty tough. I’ve banged it off some walls accidentally and it still works so far
Software: Wear OS is generally good, but it has some flaws. The future of the Google assistant isn’t certain on this watch, but I don’t think this is something Mobvoi can fix directly, so we have to wait and see if future versions will resolve this
Overall: The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is a solid choice for anyone needing a durable, high-performance Wear OS watch. It offers a good set of features for its price. I recommend this watch, with the note that the experience could change with future updates.
I am absolutely thrilled with my decision to buy this watch! It has exceeded all of my expectations, and I can’t help but share my positive experience.
First and foremost, the battery life is phenomenal. Unlike other smartwatches I’ve owned in the past, this one can easily last two days on a single charge. This is a huge convenience, as I no longer have to worry about constantly recharging it.
Additionally, the smartwatch is water-resistant, which has proven to be incredibly useful. Whether I’m caught in the rain, washing my hands, or even taking a swim, I never have to worry about damaging my watch. It’s built to withstand everyday water exposure, making it perfect for an active lifestyle.
One of my favourite features is the contactless payment capability. It’s so convenient to be able to make payments directly from my wrist without needing to pull out my phone or wallet. This feature saves me time and adds a layer of security to my transactions.
The display on this smartwatch is simply stunning. The colors are vibrant, and the screen is incredibly responsive. Whether I’m checking notifications, tracking my fitness goals, or simply telling the time, everything looks sharp and clear. The display quality truly enhances the overall user experience.
In conclusion, this watch is a fantastic investment. Its impressive battery life, water resistance, contactless payment feature, and beautiful display make it a standout choice. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a reliable and stylish smartwatch. You won’t be disappointed!
The TicWatch Pro line has a lovely slightly larger frame than the cheaper models.
There’s a massive improvement with this one in that it has a usable crown.
That’s the dial on the side which would once have been used to wind a watch up – now you can use this by turning or pressing it. Turning it allows you to scroll the screen rather than swiping at it – doesn’t sound a big deal but its an absolute game changer! So much faster than using the screen, how I ever lived without it I dunno but I wont going forward.
It has a usual kind of Fluoro Rubber strap with a ridged pattern that is beautifully comfortable even whilst wearing it working out at the gym.

The dual-display is an awesome idea, meaning you always have access to time without running down your power of lighting up the main screen, no other brand of watching is doing this like this – genious. You can even pick a colour for the low power 2nd screen, it’s also very easy to read the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra outdoors. What else has been improved here is that they are finally letting 3rd party developers put detail onto the 2nd screen which should mean we start seeing some interesting new stuff on it. There’s multiple screens to it too, rather than just being a single screen like it was in the past you can rotate the crown to see more info on the 2nd screen.
—
It features the Snapdragon Wear 5+ Gen 1 chip which is super fast, meaning there is no delays on operating the screen – all apps start up instantly, no lagging – exactly how you want it to be.It’s also running on Google’s WearOS 3.0, so it’s bang up to date. You dont need the WearOS app though – just Mobvoi’s own.
—
For those of you who do outdoor sports, it features MIL-STD-810H military grade durability which means that it’s far more likely to survive a proper knock than most watches. This new version also has sapphire glass for the screen. Why do I care about that ? Because it means it shouldnt get scratched – WITHOUT me having to add a screen protector to this one.Fab. Screen protectors are cheap enough, but not needing one means no more bubbles or getting dust under the screen protector when I try and fit it.I’ve already bashed it on my toolbench – not a single mark.
—
This one comes with some very cool faces right out of the box, way better than the ones in the past.
But I use the Facer app to pick from hundreds of watch faces and there’s something for everyone. I’ve already got several I bought which fit a ton of information on the screen and they’re still compatible so I’ve carried on using those. But whatever you like – you can have something simple or animated.
—
TicZen and TicBreathe let you monitor your stress levels.
TicSleep lets you monitor the quality of your sleep and what could be done to improve it. This has been improved significantly too including a snoring monitor!
Apparently you can get a years worth of free sleep analysis by way of the Mobvoi VIP Health App – I’ll definitely be giving this a whirl.
—
TicExercise has an awesome number of workouts including swimming pool. It has over a 100 professional workouts if you’re an exercise fanatic. All of the workouts are saved and analysed in a TicHealth dashboard which lets you see how active you are. It’s got the usual fitness goal and your current step count. It will also show you your energy levels – physical and mental if you have 24-hour monitoring turned on.
Heart rate monitoring results are vastly improved, you can see the sensor on the back is much bigger than before, it now gives you rate, oxygen levels and all that stuff in one go.A REALLY clever new addition is that they use the colour of the 2nd screen as a heart monitor when you’re working out.So once your heart rate goes up the screen will go yellow and then chage to red if its really high – so you dont even need to see the numbers just look at the colour of the watch – genious.
—
Battery Life is absolutely amazing, I’ve run for a whole week without needing a charge! Iif you’re in essential mode only it will can go on over a month! Half hour charge gives you about 2 days usage, so last minute charging is all good.
If you switch on the 24-hour activity monitoring then charging is needed every couple of days but honestly I can’t imagine people wearing a watch for more than a day without taking it off.
—
GPS – it has GPS. Doesnt sound like a big deal but it means you can use google maps without having your phone out. Great when you’re on holiday somewhere you’re not comfortable etc, no need to have your phone out to get nicked.
—
Microphone is good – I’ve made calls over the watch just to test it out, very Dick Tracy, I wouldnt do this normally but confirm it works just fine.It has Google Wallet too, so paying at supermarkets without getting your wallet out also works absolutely fine, as does going through the tube barriers in London.
—
Highly recommended from me – it has everything I want and more, charges quickly, lasts forever, hard to damage – very happy with my purchase and the price is great too – like half the price of some of the bigger brands.
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro stands out as a remarkable smartwatch that combines aesthetics, practicality, and cutting-edge technology. Its performance is fluid and swift, thanks to its fast processor and RAM capacity, all impressively integrated with Wear OS 3.5. The user experience is enhanced by intuitive navigation, effortless app launching, and smooth multitasking. A notable highlight of the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is its exceptional battery longivity. Equipped with GPS, barometer, and altimeter, it offers precise tracking for a variety of outdoor activities. It includes a range of activities such as running, biking, and swimming. The watch is built from premium materials, which not only contribute to its longevity but also add to its sophisticated look.
To sum up, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro exceeds my expectations in various aspects, providing stellar performance, extraordinary battery longevity, and a full spectrum of sensors for comprehensive activity monitoring.
Overall I’m extremely happy with the Enduro.
