The bag as well thawed out, the large compartment zippers are double zipper, and all other compartments are single zipper. They have used heavy duty, zippers throughout and secure straps with Quick clip buckles. The stitching throughout appears to be reinforced and should hold up overtime. The material of the bag itself is Similar to the material used in gym bags, Sort of a soft smooth, but thick material. The backpack straps are very comfortable and with the quick disconnects at the bottom Tuckaway neatly inside the back pocket of the bag. There is another packet just below that which can allow you to store More sensitive items like a passport or boarding ticket With extremely easy access. The other side pockets are all single zipper And provide good to amount of storage that are also easily accessible. Inside the bag came with three packing cubes small medium large as well as internal tiedowns for your clothing for larger items as well as a built-in toiletries compartment that is waterproof. The entire back side of the bag opens up again to reveal a large folder area for large documents or tablet or laptop. the USB type a pass through is a great addition as you can put a battery pack in the bag and use it to charge your From the outside, or you can reverse its use and charge items inside the bag Without having to remove From the bag.
There is a loop on the back of the bag that will secure to a suitcase handle, and the other hand straps are very comfortable and easy to hold.
Overall, the bag is very functional convenient and as far as carry-on use goes check with your airline to make sure that it fits within. This will definitely not fit under the seat in front of you.
It has so much storage space. It also includes a bag inside to put your laptop in. There are multiple smaller bags inside the laptop backpack that you can use for storage and whatever your needs are. There is also a combination lock for added security. In addition to that it has a charger for your laptop or other electronic devices installed with the Backpack. It is far above and beyond any laptop bag/backpack that I’ve ever had or seen in my life.
I highly recommend this product.
I have been one for form over function for many things, backpacks included. I would prefer “smaller” backpacks in exchange for a simplistic design– I have changed my mind.
My old backpack, although I still use it, has been breaking from the sheer amount of weight that I put inside it. It is not suited for a 17.3″ laptop but I have been fitting that, AS WELL AS several other notebooks, pencil case, charger cables, etc. Had I continued overusing it– I would’ve faced tragedy.
Luckily, this backpack came up on the review board and decided to test it out.
The goal was to use it for every travel purpose for a week– today marks over a month since I have made that plan and the backpack is beside me while I type up this review at school.
It is useful. Plain and simple as is. You open a pocket, guess what? More pockets! More space!
It came with a few organizer bags with zippers, as well as a shoe bag as well!– I do not use them. Mainly because my next flight isn’t for another few months and so I have no need for packing clothes into the bag.
The backpack can be locked together to reduce it’s size, but when unclipped, was able to hold an entire bag of groceries with relative ease.
The lock on the side is useful when I go to the gym, I throw my wallet and other valuable components into the pocket and lock the zipper.
It has only been a month so I cannot attest to its durability, but given it’s daily usage, it’s held up fairly well.
No damage to any of the main pieces, but I see some of the stitching coming off on some less significant areas.
I bought this backpack after spending ages comparing different rucksacks/backpacks online and a few in different stores. Long story short, this backpack ticked all the boxes ‘on paper’. I read all the Amazon reviews but most were from people who had received a freebie to review so although I viewed them with suspicion the backpack still looked good and had features of backpacks costing more (sometimes much more). So I took a chance and ordered one. It arrived folded in half (to fit in an Amazon locker, pressumably) but was otherwise well-packaged. It seems to be a really well made backpack and my 16″ laptop (Lenovo P16s with a 16:10 ratio screen) easily fits in the padded laptop sleeve. There is a built-in coded lock for the main compartment zipper but not for the laptop compartment (although this zipper does have small holes in the metal zip sliders to enable the use of a separate zip lock). The backpack is comfortable to carry over one shoulder or as a rucksack/backpack and there are handles on the top and side too (if using these the backpack straps can be unclipped from the bottom and slipped into their own compartment). Overall this is a fantastic rucksack/backpack – especially considering the price and I’d give it a 10/10.
When the bag first came, I was convinced the carry straps were not included and had been missed but when you open one of the zips, they appear and then the bag can be carried like a rucksack. This is very clever as it means if you check it in or want to use it as a bag instead, you can zip the shoulder straps away and keep it neat and tidy. There are also two carry handles and a built in lock for the zips. It’s very versatile and will secure your laptop too. Packing cubes are also included to help maximise the space.
One thing I do think is worth mentioning is that the dimensions of this bag do not conform with all airlines carry on bags. For example, it is too big for Ryanair’s under seat ‘free’ bag so be sure to check. Good value considering what’s included and recommended.
This 40L travel backpack from Tzowla comes with so much in it that it’s going to be hard to talk about everything in this review. So I’ll probably just talk about specifics for anyone looking for a travel backpack and focus on what I look for in a travel backpack.
Airline Compliance:
This backpack is surprisingly large for a 40L backpack. Now for travel anything between 30L to 45L should be approved for travel but that’s really dependent on the shape of the backpack as well. I haven’t been to an airport to check if this backpack fits in the approved sizing but I’m a bit concerned due to how big it is. Though the manufacturer has said it is compliant with airline restrictions. You should still be aware of any weight restrictions because this backpack can hold a lot in it and that could exceed weight limits if they exist. The weight of the backpack alone is 1.7kg which is fairly light.
Storage and Organization:
This backpack comes with a large amount of storage as well as separate carrying cubes that can separate and organize your belongings and be fitted back into the backpack. The rear compartment is where you can store either two laptops/tablets, the support laptop is up to 17″. I am a bit concerned with the laptop compartment being closer to the back which may give it a bit less protection but I do like that it doesn’t reach the bottom of the backpack which will protect it if the backpack is dropped.
There are also plenty of pockets and pouches for other items. There are pockets inside for pens, phones, or keys. Front pockets for passports or money, even though it’s a bit dangerous to store those important items in easy to reach places. There is even a wet/dry pouch to keep certain items that can get wet separate from everything else.
The separate cubes and pouches come in 3 types, there is a large cube a, medium cube and a toiletry bag. There’s also a bag for your shoes if needed. I really like this since you can get to what you need but also keep them separate so you know where everything is. Though they aren’t as compressible as a vacuum seal bag.
I also like that there are straps for most of the outer pockets like the water bottle pouch, being able to secure your water bottle down is really handy.
I also really like that there is a compartment to put your arm straps in, you can detach your arm straps and hide them in a pocket in the back. Then this also allows you to easily use the luggage strap to attach this to your luggage handle if needed.
Efficiency and Access:
The backpack has a full 180 degree opening for the laptop/tablet compartments which is really helpful for quickly removing your laptop for checks and putting it back. I would say most of the outer pockets are also easy to access when needing anything. Though if you were to pack larger items and need them quickly it’s a bit difficult to get at them unless you packed them near the top of the backpack. The upper most pockets on the interior are smaller pockets for pens/phones/keys etc. So those are in easy reach but most larger items like a jacket would need to be packed in a way to get to it at the top. There is also a usb charge connector on the outside, so you can keep a power bank attach to the connector inside your backpack and when you need to charge your device you can just connect it to the outer connector, which is really nice to have.
Security and Durability:
There is a pocket that has an included lock for extra security, though it’s only this one pocket and I wish there was more ways to secure the other parts of the backpack. You can use the back pocket to place important items that you want to be able to easily get to but is much safer from anyone trying to reach in when near you.
The backpack itself is water resistant on the outside and the material does feel durable enough to withstand superficial damages like rubbing against rough surfaces. How durable it is against someone who really wants to get at the contents I’m not sure.
The zippers all have a square hole in them that will allow you to attach small lock to make it harder for someone to open it up. The top pocket and back pocket are single zippered can cannot be locked down, which is kind of a letdown since they are the easiest to get into if you’re not paying attention. Another thing missing is a hidden pocket for a tracker, if the backpack does get stolen or lost, you can put a tracker in it but because there’s no hidden compartment for it, it will be found fairly quickly and removed.
Appearance and Comfort:
The backpack looks pretty nice, I wouldn’t say it stands out but it does look nicer than say a regular backpack for camping or hiking. With its simple look it won’t stand out too much to attract unwanted attention. The arm straps have good padding and the back padding of the backpack feels pretty good, though I have not walked around with this on for hours. The handles are also padded so holding onto it won’t be uncomfortable either.
While I do think the price is rather high, the amount of features included in the backpack I feel like it’s worth it. So overall this is a really good backpack, even if I am a bit down on the security and price.
