I’m thoroughly impressed with the UK to European Adapter Plug! This little device has become my travel companion whenever I’m in Europe. The ability to charge my laptop while simultaneously charging my phone and other devices is a game changer. Its compact size makes it incredibly convenient to pack, ensuring I don’t have to lug around multiple adapters. The inclusion of USB-C ports adds to its versatility, allowing me to charge a variety of devices with ease. This adapter is a must-have for anyone looking for a reliable, multi-use solution for their travel charging needs.
I bought few with both UK and EU option, all working very well. I use at home instead of installing another sockets with USB/mini USB, and also for travelling. Very happy to recommend.
A very convenient charger for European use. However it needs careful positioning in the socket to work. On a couple of occasions I had to carefully tilt the charger before it made proper contact with the mains.
This works perfectly. With a single device attached to the 35W PD port on the right, it’s fast. With four attached, it distributes the power between them — all four devices do charge but, of course, quite slowly.
It makes a useful charger for travel in Europe but ignore the description when it says it’ll charge laptops. It certainly won’t charge my XPS 13 or Yoga 9i, even using the 35W port. Still, I didn’t expect it to. So, for less than 15, it makes a pretty good buy.
This travel adapter is a convenient and compact solution for charging multiple devices at once. It has 2 USB-A ports and two USB-C, and also takes a 3-pin UK plug, avoiding the need to take various plugs and adapters, it’s also relatively lightweight.
I haven’t tested the adapter yet (will need to wait for my next holiday) but it appears to be solid and well made.
Confusingly, the description says the adapter won’t work in Italy but the 4th picture lists Italy as a compatible country – my understanding is that you need a Type C plug for Italy (and also Switzerland) so make sure you check your destination before you travel.
At 15.99 (and with a 10% discount currently available), this travel adapter plug is good value for money and I hope it will be a trusty travel companion for years to come. I am a Vine reviewer and therefore some of my reviews are based on free products which require an honest review. I strive not to take things I have little interest in and try to review based on the price point advertised (including vouchers or discounts where mentioned). My criteria and markings are based on the following;
| NO BRAINER – A top product. Not only do I really like it but it’s well worth it IMHO
| GREAT – decent product and value for money. Happy with this.
| OK – Product is fine. Nothing wrong but I’d probably be looking for a sale
| Hmmm – Not worth the price, functional but nothing better than mediocre
| AVOID – Very Poor Quality item not fit for purpose. Wouldn’t buy at any price .
I got this for our upcoming holiday. It seems like a well made product. The USB A and USB C ports really make this a very useful travel product. Very happy with this item.
UK to European Adapter Plug. PD 35W Fast Charge USB C European Travel Adapter with 4 USB Ports, UK to EU Plug Adaptor for Germany France Spain Turkey Iceland Greece Poland and More.
Current price 15.99 plus 10% Voucher.
In the box. 1 x plug adapter. 1 x User Manual.
Useful , versatile and well made UK to European Plug adapter. 1 x UK Standard socket plus 2 x USB A and 2 x USB C means you can pretty much plug anything in to charge whilst also using the UK Plug. Nice design. Also good to see that this adapter provides up to 35w fast charging.
The adapter plug feels well made (predominantly plastic of course) but with a pleasing weight. Having the relevant CE markings also helps ensure a level of confidence that this will perform as intended.
All in all a versatile adapter plug that is well made and represents excellent VFM. A must have accessory for the frequent traveller. Highly recommended.
Price at time of review 15.99 there is a 10% off voucher available too.
This plug essentially allows you to plug in your UK Plug into it and then plug into an EU Style round pin plug. there is a power indicator lamp and 4 USB slots to charge your favorite devices.
There is a fairly skimpy manual but it does tell you what the USB Sockets can deliver.
With a total of 35W output the port breakdown is as follows.
USB A 5v 2.4A 12W (Max)
USB C1 5v 3A (9V-3A, 12V-2.5A and 20v-1.75A PD35W)
USB A1/A2/A3 5v-3A 15w (Max)
The Toomke PD 35W UK to European travel adapter has one UK socket rated at 10A, 4 USB charging ports and it supports the earth pin. Two of the USB ports are type A and two are type C, it is only the rightmost orange type C port that supports PD fast charging at up to 35W, but only if you don’t use any of the other charging ports, otherwise the power output from this port drops to 20W.
The other 3 charging ports are 5V only and appear to share a total current of 3A between them. If only one of these ports is used at a time, a type A port will only provide 2.4A or 12W and according to the specs, the type C socket, C2, will only provide 3A or 15W. The 5V type C charging port does not adhere to proper type C standards, i.e. it provides a 5V output without any device connected.
During testing, the type C PD fast charge output performed really well when only one device was connected, I managed to draw over 32W which is a very good result, this dropped to just over 18W when another device was being charged, this result agrees with the spec.
When I tried to charge 2 or 3 devices from the other ports, the current was limiting to around 3A in total from them, this can be seen from the photos, which show that the 5V supply has dropped to under 4.5V indicating a current limit has been reached.
When I charged a single device from one of the type A ports, I was getting under 2A and from the voltage reading of 4.66V, I suspect 2.4A is the maximum current that I would expect from those ports.
So, this is not a bad adapter to have, it can fast charge one device and it is always useful to have 5V only ports for charging lower current devices such as earphones, mice etc. You could also charge another phone from the second USB-C port if you don’t mind sacrificing some of the power from the PD port, it just depends how quickly you want your devices charged. Personally, I prefer to charge things when I am awake, unless the charger has UL approval.
The charger did get quite warm during use when drawing 32W though, but not enough to be concerned about.
It’s a good plug for travelling in the EU countries.
2XUSB and 2x USB C ports provide enough access to charge up your various devices. The standard 3 pin access for UK plugs is a good addition as I usually need one.
And, if you have a spare EU to UK adapter, you can use it here.
I think it would be great if the EU prongs part was removable and exchangeable for various other countries.
In terms of speed of charging, I’m travelling soon so will have opportunity to test it fully.
With more and more devices utilising USB for power this is a great travel adapter, with a combination of both USB-A and USB-C outlets as well as maintaining the power socket for other devices.
Power output is good with up to 35w of power, this was more than enough to charge my MacBook.
The only downside for me is the size of the adapter, considering this is for travel it is not very compact, especially when travelling with only hand luggage.
I recently spent a weekend on a last-minute trip into Barcelona to see a friend and had no issues with this handy and versatile travel adapter. The sockets all worked perfectly and it was very convenient to just plug my mobile into the ucb c port and my Amazon Fire tablet into the normal usb port to charge them. Gone are the days of needing three adapters for a small break away! There were no issues when charging both devices at the same time – the voltage maintained well. The adapter is well built and has a good weight to it, very sturdy and can easily handle frequent use while travelling abroad. Overall – an effective adapter that meant a happy customer.
You need one of these if you are travelling to somewhere in Europe. I am going to Disneyland Paris in a few months and when I normally go, I have to take several plug adaptors which takes up a lot of space in my luggage and I only usually take a carry on bag on the plane so I don’t have a lot of space to store things which makes this even more perfect as it is really compact and gives me plenty of space to fit more of the essentials i need to take with me when I go. It has 4 USB slots and a main 3 pin plug slots so up t 5 things can be plugged into this at one time which again is perfect for me as I often have a lot of devices to charge such as my phone, iPad, headphones, Apple Watch, fans and more so it allows me to get these all charged at one time which is great when I need to be on the go. It also took a long while before this plug started to get hot which is great. The more things you plug in the hotter it gets which is totally understandable but it took a while which is great. I love it and is a must have for travelling
This is a nicely designed adaptor – two Type-A sockets, two type-C sockets and a UK mains socket all fed from a standard EU plug.
The build quality is good – and the “A” and “C” sockets are all a nice, secure fit. The overall rating is 35 Watts across the four charging sockets, so good enough for mobiles, speakers, ear buds – you’d probably want more power for a laptop.
The input votage is 110V to 2400V so you could use it in the UK with an adapter (I did for testing), but this is really an ideal travel adapter to charge all your mobile devices , and to use a UK hair dryer or similar to be used as well. Less things to carry or pack.
Very cool to the touch after charging – overall a very good product.
