This HDMI to TV adapter supports Fcacebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Hulu Plus, Office, Family On TV, ABC, NBC, FOX, and local videos, etc. Note: Due to “HDCP” vedio copyright protection, this hdmi adapter does’t support premium video for apps like Netflix/HBO GO/Xfinity/Hulu/DIRECTV/Sky GO/BT/iTunes etc.
This gadget was just what I needed to do presentations to audiences with my iPad and a projector. You simply plug the adapter into the iPad’s (or iPhone’s) lightning port and plug an HDMI cable into the adapter. Then the HDMI cable can go to a projector, computer display or TV; whatever you do on the iPad is on-screen. At the same time, you can have a charger cable plugged into the adapter, so the iPad keeps going without causing you battery anxiety.
This arrived inside an small easy to recycle cardboard box. It’s constructed from a good quality white plastic and feels well made. On the rear there’s a short pre-attached cable to plug this into a lightning port.
On the front is a female HDMI port and a lightning port. The latter so you can charge this up while this gadget is in use. To use is simplicity itself, you don’t need and drivers or apps, it’s literally plug and play.
Attach this to your phone. Then add one end of an HDMI cable (not included) to this and the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV or monitor. That’s it, you can now see what’s on phone screen on a big screen.
Or more accurately you can see most things, that’s because this isn’t HDCP complainant. So you might not be able to watch programmes/films from websites like SkyStore movies, Netflix or Disney plus. Which is fair enough for something costing well under a tenner.
Overall ? It’s a nice gadget, one that’s perfectly useable for everyday use most iphones and ipads. But if you want to watch premium videos, you’ll need to get something else.
Handy little bit of kit. Connects easily, iPhone to a larger screen, in this case via HDMI, using lightning connection from phone. We were able to view photos, built in apps, and computer programmes easily on a much bigger screen. As with all widgets like this it did not give access to broadcast television or streaming services, they were blocked.
I needed this adaptor and decided to give this one a try.
It works very well and allows me to connect my iPad to my projector with ease.
I can watch films or YouTube on my big screen.
