My previous water filter from Screwfix can’t hold a candle to this waterdrop filter, it makes it taste like bottled water, no chlorine taste, no copper taste and its perfectly clear, i haven’t had and limescale in my kettle using this

Was having bad tasting water from my kitchen tap. Thought I would give this product a try and it is a million times better. Easy to fit. Well worth it.
Run it through the filter for 5 minutes first after fitting

Fitted this to our new kitchen post completion. It was easy to fit with all the new fittings installed with the kitchen.

The difference in water is noticeable. It’s clearer and tastes better. Although it doesn’t state it as we live in a hard water area the limescale build up has reduced a little as well as a nice side effect.

Firstly this is quite effective. We live in a 9 rating hard water area and there is a noticeable improvement in the water quality in the kitchen since installing this.

We will note that due to its compact and tighter nature of filtration that there is a drop bar pressure from the cold water feed now but not horrendous. It’s doesn’t stop us washing up things by any means.

Ridiculous simple to install if the person who fitted the pipes wasn’t a muppet and installed the connections you have to tap into behind the sink itself as in the case of my friend who I fitted this for first. My builder who is also a qualified plumber was sensible when he fitted our pipework.

Really helpful indicator included for when to change the filter.

Caters to bigger fittings which are common in the UK and the smaller fittings for other countries or specific pipeworks.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEverything comes in the box, even flexihose adapters and some pvc tape for the threads.

From the offset the water is noticeably better, can definitely taste the difference. We have been researching tons of other options but we are glad to have chosen this brand.
Time will tell for longevity of the filter itself.
But will work out cheaper than having to buy brita filters for our jug.
Now we have filtered water from the kitchen tap for everything. Even our tea from the kettle brews nicer and tastes better.

    Highly recommend

This has changed our lives! The water at home is mow drinkable after 25 years!
It was fairly easy to fit even though our pipe sizes were different.
All the parts needed were in the pack.
The little remote unit to tell you when the filter requires changing is genius!
    Can’t recommend this enough!

I purchased the version with the tap and we can tell the difference in the taste of the water.
This should have been a relatively easy install but I had to cut part of 2 kitchen units aways to allow the tap to be fitted where I needed it.
I have installed it just with the new supplied tap for use as our main drinking water only, rather than all the cold water supply so the filter should last for many months.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe filter has definitely made a difference. The water taste a lot better and using some test strips before and after, the overall quality of water improved. Very easy to install (Screwdriver, Grips & Adjustable Spanner Required) and the unit appears to be good quality. Very pleased with the unit and will look to get the bathroom one in the near future

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install and value for money

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWaterdrop claim this is quick and easy to fit, and they’re right. Everything you need is in tbe box and connections really couldn’t be simpler. It’s a quality product and not much more money than a good filter jug. Mine has the separate tap, and I really don’t see why you wouldn’t go for this option. Without the separate tap, you filter all your cold water supply. Most will go into the washing machine, dishwasher or straight down tbe drain. The filter in tbe smallest unit is claimed to be good for 8,000 gallons. That’s about 20,000 kettles, but filtering all the water is going to dramatically shorten tbe life of tbe filter. The tap system is only 10 more. Very silly not to go for it. The water has lost all its chemical taste and the tea is noticeably better. I wish I’d found this years ago!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis took me a whole 10 min to fit.
I don’t by any means have great DIY skills. But after finding out which spanners I needed, I used the PTFE tape on the adaptors and fitted them to the 2 pipes that come with the kit, then placed the template on the back of the under sink kitchen unit and used it to fit the screws which the filter mounts to.
Turned the water off and undid the pipes from the inlet and fitted the filter “in” to the cold water and the filter “Out” to the tap pipe. Replacing the PTFE tape as I went.

Water back on and I could hear the filter fill up with water and checked for leaks.
    That was it, job done.

The water tastes better and there is no limescale build up inside the kettle. I live in an area with very hard water.
    I’d recommend this to anyone.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this after noticing that out kettle had started smelling like a combination of burnt plastic and TCP. As a tea drinker I also noticed the same pungent odour in hot drinks, my wife mostly drinks coffee and hadn’t noticed it. I found that drinking tap water also tasted metalic and also like chlorine. As a (very) amatuer DIY’er with basic tools (an adjustable spanner and a small ratchet screwdriver) the installation of this filter was fairly simple but took me a bit longer than other people in the comments, I spent about 30mins mostly because I wanted it tucked out of the way in an awkward spot at the back of the under sink cupboard to conserve as much storage space as I could. I also had some Fernox LS-X joint compound and sealer I had lying around from a previous job so I added some to the threads and some around the joints once tightened just to make extra sure that nothing leaked. So far so good, the water doesn’t have any weird tastes, the kids have also commented that tap water no longer tastes horrible. Water pressure is about the same as before and I am pleased with it. The old smelly Kettle has now been replaced and I am hoping not to have a hot cup of TCP again any time soon.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersFits easily and changes the taste of the water, lots of chlorine in our area and it removes most of it.
I had a slight leak so tightened the hose supplied and split the threaded nut.
I used the other one supplied with an adaptor and much more careful with it and all is good.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersRecently we had a burst water pipe at the end of our street, where something nasty got in the water line, that almost killed me after having just a tiny sip of water. This is when I decided to get a water filter. After browsing a few hour, I decided to get this filter. It was a good decision.

It’s extremely easy to install, if you have threaded connections on your tap, instead of copper pipes, unfortunately I had copper pipes into the tap, so for me it was slightly more difficult to install, but as my original tap started to have a small leakage, I’ve decided to change it when added the filter.

The filter reduces the water flow significantly, which isn’t an issue as I’ve connected the filter in a triple tap, where the filtered water is separate and only used for drinking water.

It clearly makes a huge difference having this filter on. Even after months of having the water pipes repaired, the unfiltered water still has a terrible smell and taste, still gives me diarrhea, but drinking the water from the filter is perfectly fine.

The only downside of this filter is, that it doesn’t have a valve in it, so replacing the filter element will require the water supply to be stopped. Installing a valve just in front of the filter is recommended.
