What’s not to like about this Action Camera.
For the price, the GA440 gives you a lot of camera for your money and it won’t disappoint you.
It has a very solid sealed body, with only the buttons and magnetic charger system on the outside, so even if you get caught in the rain whilst out cycling, motorbiking etc then you won’t have to worry. It also comes with a case that is waterproof to 40m which is deeper than most scuba divers will ever go.
It has excellent build quality, and is very solid. The number of accessories is outstanding with enough fitment options to suit anyone’s needs. Accessories can be attached to either the case when the camera is fitted inside, or by the 1/4 inch brass screw hole.
If you like taking time lapse, long exposure photos or ones that need to be extra steady, then you can attach your own tripod (not included in the box). Setup the camera and then use the remote control to take the shot 😎
It has dual screen capability with front and rear screens, and a simple to use menu system with a multitude of settings that are easily changed using the touch screen.
The Electronic Image Stabilization on this camera works really well and picture quality is excellent. I was slightly concerned by the lack of removable storage but the 64GB of internal storage is plenty and combined with a 1650mAh battery gave me almost 2 hrs recording at 60fps.
All in all, this camera is packed with both features and accessories and is great value.
I bought this as an upgrade to another Wolfang model I had been using for some time. Using this new camera the first thing I noticed was the greater quality of the pictures, and the sharpness of the videos. Unlike the earlier model this camera has a built-in battery which is not a problem as it charges quickly. It also has a built-in memory card of 64GB capacity which is big enough for me. This camera also comes with a touch screen which makes it easier to use. Once the app is downloaded to my phone, the Wi-Fi made it convenient to view the media that were on the camera. When using a laptop to view the media, it was simply done using the provided USB cable, which also charges the camera. Overall, I am very pleased with this camera which met my expectations as an upgrade. I can’t wait now to use it on my forthcoming snorkelling holiday ! I would not hesitate to recommend this camera.
I was in the same boat, until I came across this Wolfang Action Camera. I decided to give it a try, and I was greatly impressed. It might not be an exact 1:1 with a GoPro or Insta360, but it certainly does a very good job at it’s price point.
Features include a bright, responsive touchscreen, intuitive controls and a lot of attachments.
The body is fully waterproof up to 3m without a case, so you can rest assured that if it falls in the water, it is safe. Also included is a waterproof case declared to withstand up to 40m (haven’t tested this personally, but it seems good quality).
Only downside is the 64GB memory which is static and cannot be expanded with a MicroSD card, although this still gives me more than 1.5hrs recording time at 4k/30fps, which is more than I will need on my flights.
Still need to mount it on the airplane, so I will update with impressions on this later.
Great little camera for the price, used it a few times since purchasing and it done everything great. Had it out on my bike and playing football with my son and got some great videos. Very easy to use and comes with loads of accessories.

I have the GA200 and 420 cameras which are great. What is different with this one is it’s built in memory, battery and greatly improved built in Microphone.
Being waterproof to 12m great.
Main difference to the 420 is it has a larger rear screen and the button presses are easier. There are no slots to add memory or replace batteries which makes it super waterproof.
Sadly there is no port for an external microphone as with the GA420 but the built in Microphone is actually pretty good and the best in the entire range.
If you need the external Mic go for the 420. If you want everyone in one nice package with good built in Mic then the 440 is best.
Purchased this product on the basis of it’s claim to be usable in water up to 12M without a case as it was fully sealed. Took it to the Maldives on holiday and within 30 seconds of being in less than 1M of water it stopped working and the lense clearly had water ingress. Could have been a faulty unit, but as similar thing happened to the previous model (GA420), I am now under the opinion that these cameras must be used within the case, regardless of depth of water, and are not as waterproof as claimed
Update: Having had contact with the manufactures After Care Dept, I am encouraged by their response and am satisfied that the particular unit I received was faulty. On this basis, my original review should be viewed as the result of a faulty unit.
This camera really is a breath of fresh air. It’s something different from the usual action cameras, with its sealed body, no doors, no external SD card, no battery removal and an innovative magnetic charger system. The 5K recording is extremely good, giving a crisp sharp image in the video capture and the photo function offers great detail with its 24 megapixel capabilities. The build quality is excellent, it has the usual 1/4 mount at the base, dual screen capability, an intuitive menu system and great battery life. All things considered this camera is feature-packed and offers great value!
I bought this camera with the expectation of it having similar qualities as other budget action cameras. Good but not amazing. I was so wrong.
The video quality is excellent. The stabilisation is also excellent. The lens distortion correction works fantastically well. Although it does 5k 30fps I will use it at 4k 30fps as I find the video to be as good as needed and it saves on file size. Also I do not have any equipment to view at 5k. It is waterproof without a bulky external case. That works too as I dunked it in a lake with no issues. The sound is pretty good but as I use it on a motorcycle the sound is the least important. Battery life is good with over 2hrs recording on one charge on 4k 30fps. The 64Gb internal memory gets you almost 2hrs 40mins at my favourite 4k 30fps but reduces to 1hr 40mins on 5k 30fps. Internal memory saves faffing with micro sd cards. Only downside I have with this camera is that the confirmation sounds for switching on and starting the video is too quiet, but this can be levelled at most action cameras. It is just hard to hear when wearing a motorcycle helmet. Minor complaint really.
This camera is a huge step up for the manufacturer. To me it is good enough to be an alternative to the market leaders with it’s excellent video and stabilisation.
Probably one of the best budget friendly camera I have ever used. Comes with a bunch of asseccories which is very useful. Best part is there is 24 montgs warranty so I am covered for 2 years. Happy purchase.
Another thing is that the EIS on this camera actually works really well. The cameras I had before this one had EIS, but it did not work that well. It’s also very helpful that you can use this camera in the water without a waterproof case, although this does mean that the memory and battery are built in, and you can only plug in one magnetic cable (the cable works for charging and transferring files, as well as connecting to PC for dashcam use).
This camera also has diving mode, which I think adjusts the ISO and some other settings to see better in the water. I have not tested it in the water yet, only in rainy conditions, but can’t wait to do so!
This camera is not as light as the previous versions – I weighed it, and it’s about 115 grams… it might be a bit heavy for attaching it to your head, but it’s not too heavy, and works for gimbals, and it works very well for my purposes. And of course it comes with a lot of attachments and screws, just like the previous versions (picture of attachments attached).
All in all, I think this is a very good camera, and the price is great for such a good quality camera, too.
