Extremely well fitting mount without any undue pressure on areas of the vent that could cause damage. The magnet is strong but not so strong as it cause the fitting to move when undocking the phone.
Will easily allow the phone to move from vertical to horizontal while attached.
Extremely pleased.
This phone holder is amazing. Really works well in a Mercedes.
I have had a few different car phone holders now, and this is by far the best and most sturdy. This has been the only one which hasn’t fallen out mid-driving.
Very easy to install, and the magnetic ring does a great job. I just wish they would have included more magnetic rings, as now I feel as though I can’t upgrade my phone or phone case without having to buy a whole new unit.
Been using for around 6 months now and so far so good!
Been looking for something to hold my phone in my car but out of the way and not stuck to the windscreen. This is absolutely perfect. Install in less than 30 seconds and super secure in the vent (only real downside is you lose the blowing power of one vent but worth it to have my phone mounted.
The magnet is great, no issues unless I accidentally pull the charger. Love the fuss free nature of this item, I get it the car adhere my phone and drive off! No messing about with making sure it fits in the mount or adjusting the holders; even better I can easily charge my phone.
Can you tell I love this item?
Bought this for my iPhone 15 pro max, magnetic case fits perfectly to it, strong sturdy piece of kit, fits the vent perfectly easy to install, definitely recommend for the round vents in cars especially the new Mercedes models.
Review of YIEDDE Car Phone Holder Compatible with Mercedes Benz,
This a very compact car phone holder designed for round air vents, supplied in a simple cardboard box which has just three pieces to the holder, a squeeze together spring base, a cartwheel type magnet with ball fitting and a metal ring for non magnetic phone cases, no user manual or instructions.
Firstly the spring base, this expands via a very strong spring from 65mm to 80mm in width, it has two forks either side to fit over and between the slats of the air vent, the forks made of fairly in-flexible steel with a rubber sheath, each fork 7mm wide with a gap between each pair of 7mm, the pair each side measuring 21mm overall, attached to the face of the mount is a plastic ball for the magnet to tighten onto.
Next the cartwheel shaped magnet attaches to the mount via the plastic ball, a plastic nut tightening the magnet onto the ball and allowing 45 degrees of movement in all directions, the nut holding the magnet very firm when tightened and not shaken loose by pothole UK roads. An adhesive metal ring is supplied to fit to one’s phone or case if needed and does hold firmly once attached.
The adapter designed with specific cars in mind as per advertising, however I found the forks at 35mm in length a little to long, they do need a lot of vent depth to be fully inserted, also as these are for round type air vents the articulated movement of air vent totally lost when this mount fitted.
However this simple car phone mount does work well, fitted correctly the mount is robust and the angle of phone easily adjusted, the magnet is strong and does hold a phone firmly in place, unfortunately as with most car vent phone holders this can keep your phone cool in the summer but can also overheat them in the winter, care needs to be taken in use.
This phone mount has a pronged grip that will fit nicely into the round vents of many Mercedes models. In my C-class Merc, it fitted securely. The second part of the mount is the fixture to which the phone attaches. This mount is magnetic, so either your phone must be metal-bodied or you must fix the supplied flat metal ring to the body or case of your phone. I tried this, and it worked well. Of course you will end up having a blue metal ring stuck permanently to your phone or its case.
There are no instructions, but if you are intelligent enough to use a phone and drive, you can probably work it out.
