Bought for our pond, very happy.
Works well in full sunlight. Easy to use, would definitely recommend cleaning the filter & water spouts every month or so, as they get clogged.
Great little unit, the only reason I deducted a star, was because all the heads produce a high effect on a sunny day.
Because of this you lose a lot of water, I have another solar fountain and found the heads interchangeable, solving the problem for me.
I bought mine to put in the bird bath but it would be better suited to a pond as when sunny I was having to fill the bath up about 20 times a day.
We have several solar fountains. This one is technically lower power than some of the others, but it still manages to produce a good flow, which is both attractive and effective in aerating our small pond. Definitely recommended!
For a small footprint it was delightful the fountain springs to about 2ft in a sunny English day. I keeps the water moving around happily on cloudy days, too. (We’re having a few.)
I have it in a large bowl at ground level. My cats love the option to just stand upright and drink while birds and others can make use of it while they aren’t watching.
I actually had to obstruct a small section of the panel to keep the water landing in the bowl!
Excellent product.
This worked instantly it was in daylight. I placed it in a position that receives light most of the day and it works well. The photo shows it working on a July day without full sun. The water goes higher when the sun is out. On a dull day it can just pulse the water but generally if it’s nice enough to sit out I have a fountain. What I like best are the three arms which extend outwards to hold it central in the container, many others don’t have this and drift to the side so the water falls outside the container and it has to keep being topped up. Not as powerful or consistent as a mains fountain but overall great value for money.
Very pleased with this fountain, unlike other solar fountains this one remains in the centre of our bird bath and has been well thought out with the extension arms.
As an engineer myself this is very easy to maintain as the filter and parts are easily accessible.
Good solar powered fountain, it works as soon as direct sunlight hits it, not so much if it’s cloudy so if you have a sun trap in your garden it will be fine. Looks nice and has multiple attachments to change how the water flows out. I like the overall effect and find the water trickle quite soothing

The last floating fountain I had was very similar to this but had a plastic foam filter over the pump inlet. This does not have the foam, just a plastic “cage”. I don’t know if this will make any difference to the life of the pump. Probably not as previous experience shows these fountains only last a couple of years anyway. We will see. Other than that, it’s a good little device, we have it in a big birdbath just to keep the water moving and i like the sound in the garden.
