Making the Benefits of AI Pervasive
AI is defining the next era of computing, and this is just the beginning. We see the benefits of AI every day—enabling medical research, curbing credit card fraud, reducing congestion in cities, or simply making life easier.
We believe the full potential of AI will be realized when the technology is pervasive and spans from the cloud to the edge to endpoints. AMD is helping drive this with a focus on three key areas.

Fantastic CPU, very easy to fit with an msi gaming motherboard, no worries at all really and I’m a first time PC builder and was nervous about messing up. Paired this 9 7900x3d with an radeon 7800XT and it plays everything with ease.
AM5 has matured, get a good 8 layer board though. imc isn’t as bad as people think, board just bad.
Good for money, easy to setup, easy to cool, and a great fitting piece of kit for your GAMER compute
Get this until something better comes along. Also don’t get caught out buying an Intel 13th or 14th gen CPU, if you don’t know already the company just took a massive hit because so many customers are reporting instability issues with their CPUs. RIP.
Very fast and one of the best priced ryzen 7000 series CPU’s, the only thing I don’t like is the new design as thermal paste is annoying to put on without a thermal paste guard.
Wow, what a great CPU for a gaming setup. If you are planning on a high end gaming build dont shy away from the 7800X3D there is nothing this CPU will bottle neck right now. Amazing overclocking and is perfect for my 7900gre. Even tried it out with a little video editing and it does a great job for me as an amature but im sure it will be sufficiant for somebody more experianced as well.
It works flawlessly with my current gaming pc build I don’t think I have had it reach 100% use yet but then again I don’t usually have many apps/games open at the same time and only currently have one monitor. It was easy to install into my motherboard. High cost but it seems worth it for me as I have done some 3D modelling but only using Blender as Autodesk is outrageous in price. Works well with most modern games I’ve played so far. If it makes a noise I wouldn’t notice seeing as I have a fan cooling it which is necessary as a heads up because it will oveheat without any cooling.
I wasn’t expecting much for the price but this really is a powerhouse.
Running along side my older 3070ti it’s more than capable of 4k gaming at a solid 60fps on my TV on any game at high-ultra settings. Great little overclocker too.
Recommend!
I ordered the wrong cpu first time and returning it and ordering a new one was so easy and it came the next day.
Item as described and packaged with fillers to keep item safe.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D is a beast, it would be insane not to buy one if you can afford it.
The gaming performance is excellent and it has super power efficiency.
This is my first high end CPU and it does not disappoint.
I use 7950X for gaming and video processing. It crushes any workload I throw at it. Having proper cores with full AVX support is a big advantage in video encoding. Combined with 240mm AIO cooler, the temperatures are reasonable even in summer heat. Under load the CPU consumes 200W of power, so it needs a good PSU and cooler. Although in games it can be couple of frames behind the X3D version, I highly recommend this CPU as an all round option for both gaming and professional applications.
The new ryzens 7 & 9 AM5 socket processors have used the intel method of pins being on the Motherbored and not on the processor. as some computer builders will testify its bloody easy to bend them pins if you drop or knock them in processor insalation. look on line and follow the instructions carfully.
Also AM5 have a thicker heat transfer plate to cope with tempratures and will idle at around 40c
in say all this its a bloomin good processor and copes very well with everything i have thrown at it. i have had nothing yet that as sent to 80c which is it 100% temp rating appart from a benchmark test.
Currently running mine on a ID cooler AOI that has kept it a 58-60c at 100% for 5 mins
I purchased the 7900x over the 78003dx as I needed a gaming + productivity workhorse CPU. So far I’m incredibly happy.
With a base clock @ 4.7ghz I’ve disabled the boost clock to keep the CPU under full load at a cosy 55 degrees.
I game at 4k typically, or 1080p 240hz+ on competitive titles, and find on modern AAA competitive games (MW3 etc.) the base clock is more than capable of 300+ FPS.
I’m very happy to see that Ryzen is going to support AM5 moving into 2027. I’ll be looking to upgrade in a few years, but at current value this CPU is a 10/10.
My Specifications:
Ryzen 7900x
AMD Rx 7800XT
32GB DDR5 6000mhz RAM
Blackrock 2 CPU Cooler
Alienware AW3225QF (4k 240hz) OLED
If your like me and you play various games, upgrading to the AM5 platform is defo worth the move up. I play at 1440p with an ACER 3440×1440 monitor and ASRock 7800XT GPU.
I have mine cooled with a Thermalright Assassin King 120, does the job fine on a budget. Both cpu and cooler are dead easy to install.
Games like Path of Exile and Diablo get way better returns from the 7600x compared to my previous 5600x. PoE avg went from 106 > 155 (big boost) and Diablo 4 from 113 to 143. So for games like this, you can then fine tune them to run 120 and keep the computer cool and quiet. Winner.
Apex is running in 1440p at 165fps, much better than the 5600x was running it.
Obviously my PC runs nice and snappy and would recommend upgrading to AM5. Especially with Zen 5 cpu’s coming later this year.
Note: Obviously you could get a 7600 and boost it, but i’m not happy with overclocking so the extra few pounds is fine just to install and go.
When choosing between this and the x version there is very little price difference. However seeing as aftermarket coolers are around 40 I opted for this model as it came with a stock cooler. I wrongly presumed that the low tdp of this cpu and that reviews said the cooler was sufficient, meant that I could use a stock cooler and save the 40 for an aftermarket one.
Sadly, the stock cooler is very small, I play games like rust and the cpu is hitting 70 degree when only under 50% load and the fan is noisy. A real shame and I regret not buying the x model now as I’ve had to go for the 40 aftermarket cooler anyway just to keep the thing coool.
As a processor, very good, runs fast, seems to perform perfectly well and my 550 gpu is the bottleneck in games still. But the stock cooler…. sush a waste, don’t use it. It’s noisy and does not work well.
