This is a great little adapter for on the move with your laptop.
This allows to increase the number of ports for your peripherals as well as usb keys or external hard drives.
Its size allows for it to be put in your pocket or bag pocket easily. It also comes with a little lanyard so you can also hook it onto a strap so it does not get lost easily.
Data transfer and charging via the adapter is also very good.
Whilst it does have a dust cap for the male end of the adapter, it would have been nice to have included covers for the female ends.
My surface pro laptop only has 2 USB C type sockets, therefore using older style USB A peripherals requires a conversion adapter – this micro 3 port hub provides that conversion in a neat solution . I was able to connect a USB mouse and a thermal printer without issue using this adapter. Worked brilliantly.
Exactly the right size to fit into my XPS whilst the docking connector is fitted into the port next door, comes with a blue LED (the best kind of LED) and is the perfect height so that a stick on rubber foot fits underneath it (which enables things to be plugged into the top port without bending the connector).
Good quality little hub, supplied with a carry cord and a cap for the USB A plug.
Plugged it in, Windows recognised it and prepared it for use without any issues. It gives you two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, for the use of one USB port.
As I use both a wireless track ball and mouse, this has been used to hold both the ‘dongles’ that they are connected to, so I can switch between them without having to swop the ‘dongles’ around, and still have a USB 3 port free for something else!
Compact and lightweight, seems well made, good item.
