This has to be one of the best games we’ve ever played in our house! There’s so much content, along with hidden extras and challenges, that you don’t want it to end. Some worlds have a “boss” at the end, but not all, making them a bit harder. Little asteroids and meteors fly around whilst you’re deciding which world to visit – catch them all in time and you get more to explore. Simply fantastic!

I’ve loved platformers since Manic Miner and this is one of, if not the best platformer I’ve ever played. So much fun and it just pulls you back for more. They’re onto a real winner here and they know it. Can’t wait for the DLC and Astrobot 2, 3 ,4 then Astrobot world. 😉

I’m a pensioner and although the graphics are cutie amined at younger players this is good to play for my mind and dexterity. Just because I’m a senior citizen it doesn’t mean I can’t have fun like everyone else. This game makes a change from blowing up something with bombs or shooting the heads off zombies. Going by the other reviews it looks like this type of game genre is what people are crying out for. There’s some moderate ‘violence’ in some parts but it’s harmless fun compared to more adult titles. I think it’s more like video games of the past just with better graphics. Very slick with it too and very colourful.

Overall great game for most part, if you liked the free astro playroom then this is worth buying but some levels were very hard and rage enducing and frustrating at the end of the game. I was even much more harsh in my initial review but now the dust has settled I can be more fair.
The game for me lasted long enough, some say it takes around 10 hours but if you’re like me and like to explore and try collecting everything and enjoy the game it has taken me 30 hours to get to the end mission and I feel I got my value with the amount in the game and length.
Just a few really tough missions that just feel badly designed I didn’t like coming to the end of the game that rubs off the fun a bit.

This was a Birthday present for my daughter. She loved the built in PS5 Astro’s Play Room, so when I heard about the full blown Astro Bot game, it got pre ordered.

This has to be one of the best games of the current generation of consoles. It’s pure joy. The characters, animations, object physics, and music just come together to make everything feel alive.

The controller haptics are insane. There’s so much feedback relative to what you’re doing in the game. It’s not just senseless vibration either, it feels like what you’re doing is coming through the pad. The sounds belt out of the controller too, and just adds yet another layer to the game.

There’s plenty to see and do, and the difficulty seems well balanced as well.

    Highly recommended.

This is a really beautiful game set across 70+ levels and plenty of other hidden secrets and lands to find. Vibrant colours and an engaging and familiar 3d platform style with a lovely camera movement that allows for looking over edges and finding hidden walkways and areas down below. Nothing too challenging but not that easy either and if you dont cheat and try and find everything yourself on each level it takes quite a bit of work. After a while you get more of a feel for where things may be. A big note is the wonderful use of the PS5 controller with sound effects, vibrations and feedback from the controller all enhancing your gameplay. I tend to play an hour or two at a time and am about 15% of the way through after 6 or so hours. Taking my time, finding everything before moving on and enjoying the journey. It’s a must have, fun, engaging, nostalgic game and a really nice change from all the more “hard core” games usually found on the platform. I love it (aged 52) and so does my 13 year old son “DAAAD you dont do it like that” know it all

This is a video game that takes you right back to the age of fun. At last Sony have realised what Nintendo know. Sometimes we want to escape from our world and just being a really jolly place with lovely music playing a tough game.

This game is so good I just try and play one level a day and leave it at that because I don’t want it to be over.

The standard of video game is top it is literally one of the best PlayStation games you can buy and especially if you don’t want to be dealing with zombies and dead people!!

Just when I thought that this Gen was going to be just Saturated with live service games ultra realistic uber graphic games and standard Fps (first person shooters) Then this game comes along and makes me thank God that some developers out there remember what games used to be like without being politically correct, preparing you for War or the end of days but just mindless, cute (albeit challenging) colourful joyous fun. I always imagined what Mario would be like with better hardware this comes very close sometimes better then that game.Buy this game and see for yourself as you will not be disappointed you have got to see for yourself? If you hate it then just return it but will be surprising if you do. Maybe you just like serious stuff all the time take a day off and go back in time when you were carefree….that’s how to enjoy this game

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI received Astro Bot earlier today and have had to drag myself away to write this review.
I have Astro Bot: Rescue Mission for PSVR, which is my second favourite VR game and have played Astro’s Play Room for a while, which is fun. This latest Astro Bot game takes it up a few more notches. It feels more alive, more colourful and most of all a lot more fun. Astro’s controls are excellent, the level design is so inventive and almost everything moves and reacts to your actions which feels more immersive than the VR game. The use of the controllers speaker is awesome and adds an extra layer of immersion. The fluid physics of water and goo are excellent. Despite everything going on it runs buttery smooth and I have not noticed a single slow down or stutter. The gameplay is so much fun. Just walking around in grass or water is a lovely feeling and makes you want to explore every part of each level. Usually I just want to get to the end of each level of a game but Astro Bot makes me want to stop and look around.

Did I mention it’s a lot more fun to play. It is!. It’s getting extremely addictive and I don’t want to go to bed, but I have to, i’m up early tomorrow. I should have waited until Friday to play it. Now my week whilst not playing Astro Bot is ruined!

This is by far the best game released for the PS5 so far and apart from the feeling of trying PSVR for the first time the best PlayStation experience since Ridge Racer on PS1.
If you have a PS5, you must buy it NOW!. If you don’t have a PS5, buy a PS5 and a copy of Astro Bot NOW!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAstro Bot is back, and let me tell you, this game is a blast! Right from the start, it’s clear this is one of the best uses of the PS5’s tech, especially with the DualSense controller. You really feel every movement, jump, and slide, and these sensory stimulations add a lot to the experience.

The game itself is a platformer, so think Mario vibes but with its own unique style. It’s colourful, cheerful, and full of charm. The levels are incredibly creative, with lots of hidden secrets and clever designs that make exploring super fun. Plus, the bosses are massive and challenging, but not so hard that you’ll want to rage quit.

One of the best parts of Astro Bot is how it celebrates PlayStation’s history. There are loads of little nods to classic games and consoles, which will make any long-time PlayStation fan smile. Even if you’re new to the PS5, this game is easy to get into and just a joy to play.

The only downside? It’s not super long. But honestly, it’s so polished and fun that you’ll love every minute of it. Perfect for players of all ages, Astro Bot is one of those games that reminds you why you love video games in the first place. If you’ve got a PS5, this one’s a must-play!

    5.0 out of 5 stars A platforming gem 💎
