The item does work but if you are in uk it will only work while the sun is out and although it has a battery it takes a while for the battery to charge but great for the 3 days of summer we have
Given the usual performance of solar fountains I have been very impressed with this one. It produces a good volume of water from a spitting frog I have sat about a foot above the pond. I’m often surprised that the fountain is working when I don’t think there has been enough sun to charge the battery so I’m very impressed with that. I do have the solar panel in a clear south facing spot but even so I’m very impressed with the performance to date from such a small pump. Great value.
I bought it as it has a hose and solar and battery. I didn’t think I would use the fountain tops as I wanted to make a waterfall using the hose. But now I changed my mind… for now . The kids love the different choices. When windy, I swap to a smaller top as my zink bath is only small and then when it’s nice and calm I use the big top. And our frog is happy too! power is good! 5 stars
I bought this to replace the innards of an old fountain and I’ve been very impressed with its performance so far. I placed the solar panel flat on top of a tall hedge and left it for a couple of days. When I connected it up the fountain burst into life, watering the garden and draining the basin! After a bit of taming it is now tinkling away happily. Even on overcast days it manages to keep going all day. Today is heavily overcast, with torrential rain, and the fountain is still giving a continuous series of spurts.
Minor criticisms: I’d like to be able to control the pressure. I can’t use any of the fancy noozzles, they’re just too powerful, but probably ok for a pond. Also, an on/off switch would be useful.
By far the best solar pump I’ve ever brought. It’s late May and pump starts running at 5.30am and panel does not face the rising sun and with the battery back up runs until 8.30pm. The video was taken on a dull day and still a nice little waterfall.
Simple to set up not the most powerful pump but works well for what it does. In hind sight I could have done with one a little more powerful but cannot fault the ease of set up and use and versatility of solar powe
Yes very very pleased with the product. I have use this device to provide a measure of water movement ,as is only a wildlife pond. Seems to work well just on a UV feed so clouds don’t matter.
The plastic tubing is rubbish, buy some tubing that is used for home brewing much better with this, pump doesn’t work on cloudy or dark days, the last one I bought did (different make) works very well in sunshine.
