This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.

In terms of build quality, the camera appears to be well-made – it has a robust construction, with a sleek and compact design. As it is also very lightweight, wall-mounting it would be no problem (and you do get some screws/rawl plugs in the box, for this purpose). The included power cable is fairly long, but you would still have to carefully consider placement.

I struggled a little with the setup, because detailed instructions are not provided – you have to scan QR codes on the enclosed leaflet, to find them online. Thankfully, the companion app is easy to download, whilst it also provides a step-by-step procedure for installation.

Initially, I could not get the camera connected to my home’s WiFi network, and couldn’t figure out why. In an attempt to troubleshoot, I tried unplugging and re-setting the camera a few times, to no avail. Eventually, I realised that the app was automatically capitalising the first letter of my WiFi’s password (when it is actually lower case), so, of course, the password was not being accepted – something worth checking out, should you encounter a similar issue.

Once everything had been resolved, I found it fairly straightforward to navigate through the various controls on the app, and test the motion detection. If I’m being honest, I’m a little dubious about the ‘2K’ resolution claims – the picture quality I saw was not particularly sharp, and suffered from a lot of pixelation (despite being within 2m of my router). I also noticed ‘lines’ in the background of the image (especially visible on a white wall). Other than that, there was minimal delay between real-time movement, and its playback on the live feed from the app. The motion detection was also sensitive, whilst maintaining a 10 minute break between detection notifications (an option that can be adjusted).

Though it is a security camera, it’s not the most covert – the rotation mechanism is sometimes loud during movement.

In summary, I would say that the kit is somewhat good value for money, if a little basic, and would probably be best suited for use in a small room – seeing anything clearly in a larger one might be more difficult.

A really good camera to keep your eye on what your pets and kids are doing while you aren’t there. There is also a microphone so you can have a conversation if you want. This would also be invaluable to have for your peace of mind to keep an eye on elderly or infirm relatives that don’t want a carer coming.

The picture is very sharp and I love the motion detection that tracks 360 degrees, it also has infra red for night vision. I have found that movement on the camera is slightly behind real time movement but that might be down to my Wi-Fi speed.

The camera uses the Wi-Fi from your phone. If you switch off Wi-Fi on your phone, the camera stops broadcasting. But if you have the Windows PC app installed, the camera image is still available to view on the PC. The camera needs to be connected to the mains power source via the plug.

You will need to buy a micro SD card, it supports up to 128gb, or subscribe to the cloud if you want to record from it. You get the first month free but have to pay after that.

The blurams Indoor Security Camera is a lovely gadget that packs powerful features into a compact design. Its 2K resolution delivers crisp imagery, while the 360 PTZ functionality offers comprehensive coverage. Dual-band Wi-Fi ensures stable connectivity, and the two-way talk feature enhances communication.

Pet owners will appreciate the motion tracking and night vision capabilities. The built-in siren adds an extra layer of security. With both cloud and SD storage options, you have flexibility in saving footage. This camera’s blend of high-quality video, smart features, and user-friendly design makes it an excellent choice for indoor security needs.

Monitoring the house with this camera is easy and it works well enough. I use it to check what is my dog doing when I am away.
Setting it up was fairly easy and I didn’t have issues, the quality is decent and good enough to clearly recognise people or pets.
I would recommend this camera to anyone on a budget.

The blurams 2K Indoor Security Camera is well made of quality materials and appears robust. It comes with a USB cable and adapter. Also supplied are screws, wall plugs and template to enable wall mounting (if required).

The camera is relatively easy to set up, which is good as the provided ‘User Manual’ is not very helpful. Having downloaded the blurams App onto my phone, I tried to follow the instructions given. However, the instructions were telling me to scan a non existent QR code on the camera body or enter the serial number. Neither of these worked, so I tried a different approach and connected the App to my wi-fi. The App then displayed a QR code which I scanned using the blurams camera and was connected immediately.

Once connected, using the on screen controls is fairly intuitive. However, more detailed instructions might enable the user to get maximum benefit from the camera. Although, there is nothing in the ‘User Manual’ or on the Amazon page to indicate its existence, I found a generic instruction document on line at the ‘Blurams Forum’ that was helpful.

Image resolution is excellent and clear even when using digital zoom. Manual control of Pan – Tilt – Zoom features using phone screen is positive and instantaneous. Other features e.g. Infra Red low light vision, two way audio, motion tracking and real time alerts also work very well. There is also the option to record images using an integral micro SD card (not supplied) or Cloud Storage (subscription required).

Overall, the blurams 2K Indoor Security Camera is a versatile indoor security camera. At current price of 35.99, it is competitively priced with comparable products,

    Would recommend.

This camera has to be my best buy in a long time. I have a young blue Staffy and this has been ideal to just monitor him while he is at home, it’s very reassuring and the fact we can speak to him is wonderful. Best feature 360! The purpose for me was solely for the dog but this is a great piece of kit to have in the home.

Setup takes a five minutes but once setup this is a simple and easy to use home security / pet monitoring camera. It has 360 PTZ movement, you can use it for 2 way talk, you can set a Siren off on it to make any would be intruders panic and it has excellent quality video both day and night.

Overall a great way to enhance home security or keep an eye on and communicate with pets. Price seems fair and reasonable.

I got this camera specifically because it has ptz option, and I wanted to cover the living room and hallway as well at the same time.
Installation is pretty easy and simple there are two wall plugs and screws provided in a package. There is no need to run the ethernet cable, because camera uses Wi-Fi for connection. The only drawback I have encountered with this camera is the length of the power cable – it could be few meters longer. This problem may be easily fixed either by bringing the power outlet closer, or simply getting a longer cable.
Otherwise I’m very happy, camera does exactly what it is advertised, and the image quality is just superb.

5.0 out of 5 stars good image quality

We are about to get a new puppy to join our existing 1 year old Labrador, so it will be great to monitor their interaction and see how they get on

But in the meantime, it’s setup to check that our Lab isn’t misbehaving, we have had a previous experience with 2 Labradors, where 1 had scoffed a lot of chocolate (Christmas and it was my chocolate), luckily we had a camera setup, so were able to identify the culprit and confirm the black Lab had only watched and giving the culprit that look of you’re going to be in soooo much trouble.
Bonus is the camera was able to confirm that only 1 dog needed taking to the vets

This is so worth setting up a camera, you just never know when you may need it

Anyway, this camera was super easy to setup, no problems experienced and it’s now working a treat

    Thanks

It’s an okay indoor camera the quality is good and the night vision does work as well. I do love the 2 way audio which is neat to have conversation when you’re away, I wouldn’t say its excellent quality or bad but its okay. I just don’t like the USB Micro B connector this such an old style. Most of tech nowadays are required to have usb c.

    Hope my review was helpful

Good quality materials and finishing. I did find this a little tricky to set up but after some perseverance I got there in the end. Reasonable daylight quality and slightly less good night time picture quality.
    OK product for the money

You get a lot of functionality for your money with this camera.

I found set up really straightforward with this camera, download the Blurams app then register for an account, you get an email back to confirm the registration. Run the app and select add a device, it asks for your WiFi name and asks you for it’s password, it then creates a QR code that you hold up in front of the camera, it scans it then the bleeps and it then takes a few seconds to complete the set up and then you’re away.

The picture quality is very good. There are 3 resolutions to choose from; SD, HD and QHD (2K). You can see a difference between the 3 settings when you switch between them.

The camera has several functions to enhance it’s capabilities which can be accessed from the app.
    – Motion detection (worked well and sent a push notification to my phone)
    – Face and pet detection
    – Motion tracking (also worked well)
    – Human framing (cuts down false activations from insects and rain/drizzle)
    – Infrared (good night vision pictures)
    -PTZ control
    – White light output (can be set up to illuminate when motion is detected)
    – Microphone and intercom (worked well although sound can get a bit ‘squeaky’)
    – Field of view (very good capability to cover a large wide angle, can be controlled from app)
    – Zoom function is acceptable
    – 2.4 or 5 GHz wifi band
    – MicroSD Card (will support up to 256 Gb. Relatively easy to recover footage from up to 35 days previous)
    – Can be used free standing or fixed to wall or ceiling using the supplied fixing kit.

Verdict: A very competent camera at a very reasonable price. Only suitable for indoor use (no IP rating) and would suit pet, child or even elderly relative monitoring.

This camera was very easy to set up and use, the instructions were very simple to understand. I managed to connect seamlessly to both Bluetooth and wifi. You then download the app, which is also very easy to install and connect. The picture quality is very high, and is crystal clear. Really impressed and would recommend.

Indoor security wifi camera that connects via the app that you will need to get from on of the download sites using the QR code in the instructions once connect ed this works well but if you wish local storage you will need to get an SD card that goes in the back slot, this comes with uk plug and the old type of USB connection which is a shame but based on the price at 35.99 with an extras 10 off at the time of this review 25.99 makes this a very cheap camera so you can keep an eye on your home or animals, do not expect 4k pictures but given what this is it will give you clarity when needed

The camera comes with a USB plug, the type that sticks out too far. A USB to micro B lead, not USB C., but a good length of about 2 meters. Also two fastening screws..
The camera takes a mini SD card, the slot for it can be hidden depending on the position of the moving lens. The mini SD card is my choice for capturing video rather than the cloud, there is pay for storage. I like the way the camera can track things, the lens moves about quietly.
It was simple to get started but I found that there was so many different options in the settings that it got a bit frustrating. I guess once you’ve got it set up you won’t need to go into the settings again.
    A decent security camera.

4.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable camera
