Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe purchased the Bosch WGE03408GB series 2 washing machine because we could not get a zanussi
machine in time. My wife loves it. It washes well but is very quiet with reduced vibration compared to our old zanussi. It is heavy though. I would recommend getting a techician to set it up. If the tap led lights up it may not be faulty. There is not a lot of room behind the washing machine in standard fitted kitchens for the inlet water hose which can get trapped or bent. I would definetly buy another though.

Team arrived looking very smart and happy , eager to start.

Unpacked new washing machine, came in to uninstall the old one, taking care does not spill any water.

Upon installing the team ran a rinse and spin to check for any leaks, them did a rinse and spin, checked for leaks and then left the house and took away the old machine and the packaging.

Very pleased with the service provided.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDelivered on time as usual with Amazon and the two guys who delivered the machine where very friendly and polite and put machine exactly where i wanted it.Only done two washes and i cant believe how quiet the drum is on spin.Quality of the build seems great as i would expect from Bosch.

The clothes take no time to dry due to the spin speed of this extremely quiet appliance. It’s got a variety of settings, (even a ‘clean drum’ option) and is easy to use. Highly recommend.

This washing machine is very efficient it has a super quick wash at 15 mins, & 30 mins. You can make the choice based on fabrics and whether you want a good wash or a rinse is adequate! It looks great, I love the chrome effect detail re the brand BOSCH ! It’s performance to date has been so far excellent, no leaks , you can choose different speeds for the chosen spin either say 800 to 1200 and so on. It’s easy to use even if you didn’t have the handbook! Super value for money for an A rated machine. A which Best Buy for 2024 ! The size is regular to fit under a work surface .

5.0 out of 5 stars This excellent value, choice of cycles and super effiocient!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAmazon deliver for free if you accept it will be between 7am and 7pm and will collect the old appliance in situ but drained for a very reasonable 10. They will unpack the new machine for 5 and take packaging away. I wish I had booked that as it was really difficult on my own to get the polystyrene base off as it has the weight of the whole machine on it. You need a 13mm socket to remove the four transit bolts and a 17mm spanner to adjust the retaining nuts on the four feet but you need a bigger one to turn the rubber feet first as there’s little room to get the spanner between the feet and the chassis to move the 17mm nuts for levelling.

It’s difficult to slide the machine on a hard floor as the feet are rubber so stutter, easier to put on cardboard to move to the place it will be put. I did a guesstimate to adjust the feet after checking the floor levels whilst the machine was on its side WITH TRANSIT SCREWS STILL INSTALLED to get the polystyrene base off with a friends help. It would be difficult adjusting the feet when it’s on its feet! How do you get to the back two feet when it’s at the back of a cabinet? I guess in realty not that much levelling goes on. Anyway my guess worked I adjusted one front corner lower than the other three because I used a level to check the floor prior.

Attached the inlet hose and put outlet hose into drain pipe using a hose clip that I already had. It was mentioned in the paper manual (yes there is one in the drum) but it’s an extra so if you need one get one in advance. Seems standard size hence used a zanussi clip/horseshoe. Electric cable is on right side at the back low down but if your socket is on the left there are a row of three loose clips under the back of the top that it can be routed along which I thought was a very neat design thought as it gets the cable away from the inlet and outlet hoses dangling around the back.

I’ve done a wash it was quiet in operation and has an air of quality about it. Was rock solid on the floor no moving around or shuddering that I got with my old machine. Lots of programmes I can’t claim to understand or be very interested in all the permutations but the Mixed cycle takes 60 minutes at 40c which is probably what I will use most but who knows as I discover the intricacies of it.

It was straightforward registering online for the five year extended warranty which is included with this machine at time of writing just make sure you take down the various enr, fd, z numbers on the back of the machine door! Better than phoning and probably getting the numbers letters etc taken down wrong or needing endless clarification/confirmation, e for echo t for tango you know the drill. Although the enclosed warranty leaflet alludes to a 99 charge if wishing to extend from two to five years when you register it clearly states a FIVE year warranty so that’s a bonus!

P.S. Unless you are a masochist it’s worth paying Amazon 5 to have the new machine unpacked (all was easy until it came to the polystyrene packing on the base! Impossible to remove as whole weight of machine on it so had to lay machine on its side with help from a strong bloke, with transit bolts still in place so drum doesn’t sag or pull other parts down or crush). Maybe even pay the optional 15 to have it installed depends on the quality of the installer I guess and if you are really up to lugging heavy things around and confident to attach the hose so watertight and fit the drain pipe outlet in place. Bosch make sliders for the feet too at additional cost or make your own out of thin shiny hardboard.

Addendum. After using the machine for two weeks on a couple of occasions the clothes and especially any towels have felt almost wet after the final spin even though I used the fastest 1400 spin speed and could even see water in the drum just before the cycle completed. My old zanussi from 2008 spun more effectively with its 6kg drum. It is amazingly quiet though I didn’t know it was possible!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLike the quick wash for lightly soiled which only takes half an hour and got clothes just as clean. Really quiet. Lots of programmes but I suspect I will only be using 2 or 3 regularly. Like the Drum clean option as well.
The detergent drawer is still quite stiff – I don’t like to force it too much in case it breaks, but it does need a good pull to open.
Had a Bosch before which lasted me for 20 years so I am hoping a similar life span for this one.

This is essentially the latest incarnation of the Bosch washing machine that we bought it to replace.
Our previous washer was still working perfectly well, but after so many years and the fact that we also needed to replace our tumble dryer, we thought it would be nice to get a nice new one.
The previous one had given us many years of dependable, top class service and we had no hesitation in going for Bosch once again.
Yes, you can buy other brands that have a lower initial outlay and we have had washing machines from other brands in the past – but they do not have the same quality of performance or longevity that we have enjoyed with Bosch, so ultimately it is false economy.

This model has a few more bells and whistles that the older model we bought it to replace, which will come in handy, but essentially it is the evolved version of its predecessor, so we know how good and reliable its performance will be.
I hope you find these comments helpful.

I found the controls difficult to understand – the instructions in the manual were confusing. Far too many options and most of them you’ll never need, however there are some good YouTube videos. Also don’t like the need to rinse and spin when you just need to spin clothes that have already been rinsed.

I wanted a new washing machine with good energy performance and a wider range of programs than my thirteen year old Beko. I think the energy performance is better, the noise is definitely lower and whilst I am still exploring the range of programs they mostly seem good although the cotton program is very slow. I particularly like the ability to apuse the wash at any point and open the door to add or remove an item and then continue the program. Value wasn’t as good as I expected as the price had gone up temporarily because at the time it included a 5 year warranty. Personally I tend not to have many problems so I don’t consider warranties as important.

My old Bosch washer finally gave up the ghost after 14 years hard labour, so it was honestly a no-brainer to replace it with another Bosch. This is quiet, gets the job done really well and is flexible about washing times (they can be long, compared to the old machine).

I opted to have the old one removed and the new one installed, and that was a breeze – the guys were courteous, very efficient and had the job done in about 30 mins.

The Market Place supplier offered very competitive price with excellent communication and delivered our machine the following day after we placed our order. The delivery driver was polite and friendly, all very impressive.
The machines has a good range of easy to use programs, is very quiet in operation and comes with a 5 year warranty when registered with Bosch.
Early days, but so far very pleased with our purchase.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is a fantastic machine. I had previously ordered and returned two other washing machine models. Thank you for taking the return without hesitation, Amazon.

    pros:
1)Washing machine noise is almost non-existent at high speeds.
2)There is no vibration, even at 1400RPM. Excellent work.
3)Compared to the Samsung Echo, the washing time is substantially shorter and the cloths are much cleaner.
3)Anytime we stop, we add garments and begin again.

    Cons: It may be overpriced.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersAll good, good delivery, self installed easily.
Very low noise in operation.Totally pleased so far.
Bosch difficult to deal with!?,registering appliance, and extend warranty long winded,(phone them, applying for the one key sign in doesn’t work).
Also their offer of years supply of detergent was a difficult process!?.
They rejected several times, asking for further info, photo of the appliance in situ,Amazon invoice, then had to do it all again as “extra security measures “,
Bosch experience very tedious and long winded!.
I was at the point thinking of reporting to Amazon,as,I suspected their tactics were designed to make me give up,or they had run out of stock of the detergent offer!,
I still don’t know if my request has been successful,
at one point I was getting a reply for
“further information “every 3 to 8 minutes,my last email wasn’t answered or confirmed.
