Two small chips in the windscreen (each only about the size of a grain of sand) stood out clearly as white specs against the “grey”.

Although not in my direct line of sight, they were distracting and irritating, so I thought I’d give this a try, not really expecting much.

From the outside, they’ve now all but disappeared. From the inside, they’re still visible but much reduced.

In this particular case, it’s entirely a cosmetic repair, but I’m really quite impressed with it.

I can tell that what were two little pits whose surfaces were white, ground glass, have now been filled with something that’s the same refractive index as the unblemished glass. They’re not invisible, but the result is as good as I could have hoped for and better than I expected.
