Perfect didn’t even know I had flying bugs in the kitchen till I heard the zap zap . I’ve been bitten and get bad reactions , I feel at ease now having this . Highly recommend.
Bought this not expecting too much but it actually has made a big difference. We have our kitchen door open a lot so flies come in and I hate spraying fly killer because it settles on my worktops etc.
this is a better way for me to deal with the flies. Really noticed how few are buzzing around now. Easy to clean too.
You’ll need to be a certain age to understand why we call our zapper ‘Frank’. He works very hard and is effective. We have him in our conservatory, on the sunniest of days the elements don’t show up, however, having put it in the corner the sky raisins seem to prefer! The loud SNAP of another fly getting dispatched can make you jump. It’s easy to clear out the bodies, and I’m very glad we got it. Hardly any insects, large or small get into the house, and those in the conservatory don’t last long.
It has zapped a few flies and scared off some others as we have no flies in our kitchen any more.
A minor issue was that a beast of a fly got stuck in the grid and shorted the current. After I brushed it out it all worked again. However, there is no warning other than that flies start walking all over the grid.
SETIT UP SWITCHED ON ( LOOKS GOOD) WITHIN AN HOUR, HEARD THREE ZAPPZ AND NOT AWARE OF THE FLYS IN THE HOME.CAN NOT USE FLY SPRAY I HAVE LUNG PROBLEMS.SO IAM VERY PLEASED.WITH THE ZAPPE.R. DEF. RECOMMEND
Seams well made and works very well, happy that it will cost less to run too as it has LED tubes and not the old florescent type, I just have it currently say on the dining room table.
Confirmed this uses 11W.
As delivered, two of the tubes had fallen out, which was irritating but they seems to have survived. Easy enough to refit.
Managed to remove one flying visitor in first hour.
Strange that the cable connects into the top (so it’s visible when unit stood on table).
The power switch looks like it should illuminate, mine doesn’t (I don’t mind).
Hopefully we will get some sun soon – and I’ll get my money’s worth! Better than chasing around with an electric tennis racke
