It’s an HDMI cable, but being coiled it means it won’t easily get tangled. I think a coiled cable is less useful on a shorter cable like this as most of the time it will be unfurled to it’s full length.
I don’t have an 8K display to test that claim, but used on a 1440p 165Hz monitor with no issues, supported the full resolution and refresh rate out of the box.

Very nice design and great quality too. Always connects for fast charging and also good for a data connection too. The metal connector fits nicely into my phone and so far has always been reliable.

This a good short HDMI cable and it is ideal for connecting a device like an Apple TV that is mounted on the back of the TV screen to a nearby HDMI port.

With this cable connected to a 4K TV and 4K device I was able to get a great 4K picture at the maximum refresh rate. The coiled lead helps to keep the cable out of sight.

I like a coiled cable as it keeps things neat when it is retracted as it were. I use this for the playstation to TV connection – the playstation is tucked away when out of use so this type of lead is perfect for when it comes out to play.

    Decent quality, durable and smart.

I will admit I was a little paranoid about wires like this as I imagined if there was too much tension in the cable it would pull against whatever devices it was plugged into, thankfully that’s not the case and its just tense enough to return to its fully coiled state which makes putting it away easier. With how cables these days are made to be compatible with much higher resolutions than before this is honestly a decent choice to replace an old cable if length isn’t an issue.

I’ve got an amplifier, and a few consoles all in the same unit. I’ve tried various means of keeping things neat via shorter HDMI cables and cable ties, but it inevitably turns into a mess the first opportunity you have to swap a device out for something newer.

These type of cables make life far simpler and I’ll be buying some more to tidy up the AV unit. Carries a 4K signal from an XBOX One X through the amp without issue. It doesn’t spring back immediately once stretched, probably for the best as you don’t want to put too much strain on the ports on your devices, but does mean you can move them about more freely than you’d be able to with straight shorter cables.

Don’t want to embarrass myself with the state of the rest of the cabling so I’ve included a footprint comparison picture against a standard 1m HDMI.

This HDMI cable comes with dust caps for the connectors, which are gold-plated and have chunky plastic housing. There’s basic bend protection at the joins onto the cord. The cord is rubbery and coiled but its tendency is to maintain the shape of its coils so it doesn’t stretch far, at least not comfortably. That’s fine because this is an ideal cable for short distance connections where a degree of stretch could be useful. It doesn’t get tangled and really helps keep things tidy.

I use an HDMI splitter and already have two coiled cables going in to it, I am now using this cable as the output cable going from the splitter to my monitor. Compared to my other cables this one is thicker but performance is great, no problems with audio or video and it is an ideal length, resulting in a much tidier arrangement behind my monitor than I had before. I’m very happy with this HDMI cable.

We use this with our small projector, to either connect it to our Blue Ray player for cinema nights in our summerhouse, or via a HDMI adapter connected via USB C to our Surface laptop.

In both situations the flexibility of the coiled cable is an advantage over more traditional cables, keeping the area around the projector free from trailing cables, particularly significant for the cinema nights as the projector has to be set up in the middle of the room to align with the screen.

The cable itself is well made, decent thickness with good connectors either ends. It performs well for our application. The stretch certainly achieves the claimed 3 foot, it will go a bit further (about 4 foot) if you stretch it out fully.

We have had other Ethernet cables and adapters from Cable Matters and have found them to be good quality and well made.

The quality of this HDMi cable is very good. I have some other Cable Matter branded cables and the quality of this cable is on par with those. The cable itself has a very flexible outer sheath and has a rubbery texture to it. The coil section is well coiled. Even though its expands due to the coil the, reality is you are restricted to the cable at its out the packet length which is about 50cm. As my PS5 sits just behind my TV I tested the cable with that and it worked perfectly and all the advanced PS5 display features were working. I would not describe it as being the most practical cable as its uses given its length are limited. I however intend to use it with a video capture device on a PC and the cable is perfect for that. It has enough stretch to pull away from the pc wheel I plug the devices in. Overall a very high quality cable with niche usage over a regular HDMI cable.
