I wanted a phone mount that would hold my phone while in its case. I use a case that works like a book so it’s quite bulky when folded back.
This mounts fits the bill, it opens wide enough to get my phone via a button release at the back and closes snugly by pushing the sides together. The connector is accommodated at the bottom and all works well. The adjustments for moving side to side, forward and back, and rotating are all smooth and it can be made to work for any driver.
There have been comments on the kit not sticking properly to the dash/screen but, if that’s a problem for some, it wasn’t in my case. In fact, I’d suggest making sure that you put it exactly where you want it to go because getting it off is a hard – and I mean HARD! I put it on the windscreen originally but decided it wasn’t the right place for me. I had to get use a key to push between the screen and the mount to prise it off where I’d stuck it because no amount of pulling was going to move it. I’ve now got it on the dashboard and I think I’ll be selling it with the car because I can’t get it off there either.
It’s a pity that this isn’t currently available (as of 8th May 2024) because a few of my friends have asked for the link to buy one themselves.
