This is a very cute wooden, baby stacking toy. I love the cute animal design and it’s great for little ones motor skills and brain development to work out how to piece the animals together.

Very simple to use and it feels good quality, the set is also good value and looks very sweet in the nursery. Lovely set, the pieces slide on easily and are ideal for little fingers, recommended.

I think that when you think of kids’ toys there are a few things that come to mind, one of my first thoughts is Fisher-Price, because the brand is well known, and trusted amongst the community. They are known for creating great products at reasonable prices, and this item is no exception!

This is very basically packaged with just a cardboard wrap around it. It is of course a stacking toy that comes with various different shapes (12 in total), and one base (the sorting base).

It has an all-wood design (it’s certified wood too which is a lovely bonus). Very attractive bright colours on the little shapes, I imagine your little one will be very intrigued by this!

Perfect for 2 years and up.

Solid construction with no sharp edges or small bits that the kids might accidentally swallow.

All in all, it’s the perfect little product in my opinion!

The fisher price sorting toy is a lovely compact shape sorting toy. The toy consists of 4 stacking columns with a triangle, rounded, rectangular and square peg. There are then 12 corresponding shapes that need to be stacked across the pegs with 3 coloured pieces.

The toy is beautifully made from sustainable wood and is well finished with all smooth surfaces. The toy encourages development of fine motor and problem skills and is a lovely toy to have around to improve skills.

Overall the toy is well made, had lots of lovely bright colours and offers great value for money. My little one is around 18 months and loves playing with the shapes, as they age I’m sure they’ll begin to understand the concept of peg shapes and shapes within the coloured blocks.

I always associate Fisher Price with excellent quality, and this wooden toddler sorting toy (ages 2+) is no exception.

It’s compact, lightweight, and well made with no rough or sharp edges — perfect for little hands to hold. The pieces are colourful and well painted. It’s already provided hours of entertainment for my granddaughter.

Reasonably priced (10.99 at the time of writing my review) and great for gifting. I’m more than happy to recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.

This is a very compact toy (which if you have a lot you will be glad of) consisting a base with four different shaped posts and 12 stacking pieces.

The posts are the shape of the shapes themselves which are triangle, circle, rectangle and square. The three stacking pieces for each shape are the same size but coloured red, green and yellow. This allows play to sort by colour for example. Shapes also are plain striped and dotted but not to the same colour per shape which gives another sorting option.

As you would expect from a company with experience like Fisher-Price the quality is good. Made of wood the shapes are robust and smooth with no jagged bits. The shapes are made from FSC certified wood and no plastic is involved in them or the packaging.

At 10.99 this is good value for money and would make a great present.

This colourful wooden ring stacking toy has been a wonderful addition to our collection. It offers hours of fun while subtly promoting important developmental skills. The toy is beautifully made from wood sourced in an eco-friendly manner, which aligns with my values of sustainability and environmental responsibility. The craftsmanship is evident, with smooth edges and vibrant, non-toxic paint that has stood up well to the rigours of toddler play. As we have been using other toys from Fisher-Price and have always been impressed, this toy doesn’t disappoint us as well.

I appreciate that the toy arrives in plastic-free packaging. Beyond the intended stacking function, my child has found several creative ways to play with the rings, from sorting them by colour to using them as wheels for his other toys. This versatility adds to the toy’s longevity and value.

The stacking base is stable enough for general play, but it can be a bit wobbly on uneven surfaces, like our carpet. A slightly wider or heavier base might improve stability and reduce the chance of tipping over during more enthusiastic play. While I believe the quality justifies the cost, it is a bit more expensive compared to similar other toys. However, the durability and environmental benefits do offset this to some extent.

This toy was a little smaller than I had expected but it is still a reasonable size. It is made from good quality wood, it is smooth and well painted. I really like how colourful the shapes are, they look like little cakes/biscuits.

It’s a very nice toy, but does have a bit of a design flaw in that you can fit some of the wrong shapes onto the wrong poles, so isn’t perfect for shape recognition and may confuse a small child.

It’s a good toy for teaching fine motor skills.

This toy arrived in cardboard packaging (see pic), which I fully support from an eco-friendly standpoint. However, as it is not fully covered, it was a little dusty, which isn’t ideal for a small child’s plaything.

The quality is excellent, as I would expect from this long-established and trusted brand.

Made from FSC wood, the shape sorter is well-manufactured, smooth, and has no rough edges.

It was smaller than I anticipated, but having considered it, I think it is a good size for little hands to manipulate.

It is bright and colourful, with different shapes and patterns, which add interest and extend vocabulary while improving problem-solving skills and fine motor development.

The shapes fit perfectly on the poles, not too tight or loose. However, what could confuse is that the two four-sided shapes also fit on other shaped poles. Under supervision, this could be turned into a learning opportunity.

This type of basic stacking toy has been around since the Dark Ages (my youth) and has stood the test of time. This latest version is less bulky and lighter, which also makes it more portable.

This wooden shape sorter is a wonderful toy for toddlers. The pieces are well-made and colorful, and it provides a great way for kids to learn about shapes and colors while developing fine motor skills. It’s sturdy and safe, making it a great choice for young children.

Good quality, wooden shape stacker toy.

I got this for my 14 month old, and he was really fascinated by it.
The shapes are bright and colourful, and have lovely smooth, safe edges.
He had a go, trying to fit the shapes on to their bases, but he’s a little young yet to fully grasp what to do. He loved champing on them though, and had fun bending and moving the bases, as they’re attached by elastic cords. (see my photos)

Something to point out, is that before giving your child the toy, you need to remove the little paper sheets in between each shape! (see my photo) These have obviously been added to protect the shapes before use, but you can’t see them until you start unstacking the shapes. Little ones could try and pop them in their mouths, so that’s just something to be mindful of!

Overall, I am pleased with it. It’s a little smaller than I thought it would be, but the quality is good, and he’s enjoyed playing with it.

The Fisher-Price Toddler Sorting Toy Wooden Shape Stacker is a very cost effective simple sort and stack toy for your little one.

It comes with super minimal packaging if essentially a thin wrap around card which is always great to see. The stacking and sorting shapes are slots are actually quite simple compared to our other similar toys – which are actually aimed at 18 month old plus – but I think the 24 month advisement age with this toy must be due to its size, as it’s actually relatively small and compact.

The pieces are easily lost of your little one likes to hide things like ours does – we were already a piece down after the first evening with it!

A wooden toy sorter and shape stacker from Fisher Price .

Great quality as expected from Fisher Price, a nicely finished wooden base with 12 shaped sorting pieces in yellow ,green and red to stack on the posts.

The centre of each piece is shaped the same eg the triangle has a triangle hole . 3 each of triangle , circle , rectangle and square .

Good for motor skills and learning shapes and colours .

Good to see a toy with no plastic and minimal recyclable packaging .

A little let down by the size of the holes meaning that the wrong shapes fit on some of the posts eg the square shapes fit on the circular post and the rectangle shapes fit on them all.
Nevertheless a lovely good quality toy.
