A good replacement, only problem I had was getting the old key mechanism out with out damage had to cut it out with hacksaw, it now works fine but have to be close to car for it to work .
It seems I have an older version of the Astra J key fob which is completely sealed and an absolute nightmare to remove the circuit board undamaged. Why! Vauxhall would chose to do this is beyond me. Perhaps because an actual replacement is north of 200. The replacement keyfob is well constructed and the tools are also well constructed and robust and easy to use. It is an adequate replacement, given you can liberate all the parts you need for a functioning keyfob. Perhaps check you are going to be able to remove the circuit board from your existing keyfob easily before purchase.
Well it was easy to change from old to new. It performed has it should.

Bought to replace a Vauxhall Mokka key that had deteriorated. A little difficulty removing the circuit board from the old key, but clearly no fault of this product.
The fit was perfect, but the old key part will not fit, as the spring release mechanism is slightly different. The included tool to swap the key over is both useful and effective. Just remember to twist the key against the spring prior to closing the case or the flip mechanism won’t operate.
All in all, a very good product and much much cheaper than a dealer replacement.
This is a great item, the tool is brilliant and is exactly built for the job.
Has saved me a lot of money in not having to get my key replaced by a garage / specialist.
