FORAGIFT Self-Watering Plant Pots Indoor, 20/17.5/16.5/15/14/12.5cm Plastic Flowerpots with Drainage Holes Saucer and Reservoir, Indoor Modern Decorative Planters for All House Plants, White – 21.99

Plain and simple design with the easy access to water them. They are easy enough to put together. You can only add a limited amount of water so it wouldn’t really be enough to leave them for extended holidays but great for a weekend away or really hot days.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value and so easy to water the roots

    – Review for FORAGIFT Self-Watering Plant Pots Indoor, 20/17.5/16.5/15/14/12.5cm Plastic Flowerpots with Drainage Holes Saucer and Reservoir, Indoor Modern Decorative Planters for All House Plants || Colour: Black || Price: 21.99 (at time of ordering) –

These pots are so great; there are six in the set so it’s really good value, and super helpful having a range of sizes. It makes it easy to match plants to the right sized pot, and as they grow you can simply re-pot them in the next size up!

The self-watering function is great; just be wary that some plants do not enjoy soggy roots, and it’s worth double checking that these are suitable – I learned this the hard way. Also worth noting that they can’t work effectively if the roots are too shallow (they need to get that water up somehow), so it really is important to select the right size for each plant. If you’re worried, pull the strings up from the bottom so they are vertical in the soil. These will act like a root and take water up higher towards the plant.

These are well made and look way more expensive than they are. A real bargain, highly recommended.

Such a good price for 6 good quality plant pots. They’re a nice selection of sizes, and we’re easy to set up. Can’t comment on their performance for being self-watering yet as my plants are too young and their roots are not long enough for it to work yet. But they’re doing well at holding the plant and allowing the water to drain into the reserve. They’re nice looking too. Very happy with my purchase. They’re doing the job well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good pack of pots

The sleek white design complements my home dcor beautifully, giving a modern touch to my indoor garden. The range of different sizes is perfect for my varied plant collection, from small herbs to larger houseplants. Each pot comes with a built-in filling saucer and a watering lip, making plant care incredibly easy and mess-free. I particularly appreciate the self-watering feature; it ensures my plants get the right amount of water even when I’m away on holiday or too busy for daily care. Since using these pots, my plants look healthier and more vibrant. It’s a relief to know they are well-cared for with minimal effort on my part. I highly recommend these self-watering pots for anyone looking to simplify their plant maintenance routine.

This set of 6x plant pots in different sizes arrive packed securely in a carton box. Firstly, these are very well made using strong plastic. These are definitely sturdier than any ordinary plant pots you get in the market, therefore should hopefully last a while. Also, being in different sizes, these are great for different types of plants.

These pots are not self-watering in my opinion, however these are great for a steady stream of water supply over a long period of time. You place the wick cord at the bottom where water is stored which is then transferred to the roots of the plant slowly. There is also a water lip on the side of the pot, which not only prevents over-supply of water to the plant, but also allows roots to breath. I think it is an innovative design that works well.

Overall, fairly pleased with these plant pots and have been using these now for almost a month. Would recommend and rate these as 5 stars.

    Self Watering Plant Pots
The pots are made of strong plastic, easy to clean. They are not particularly self watering as you need to put water in the base and the capacity is quite small, what they will help with is the risk of over watering and potentially rotting the roots. Each pot has a detachable spout to help fill the pot.
Only time will tell how good they are over the life time of the plant and I will update the review then.

These are very practical, especially if you struggle with under/over watering your plants. With these you can simply pour water into the base and it waters your plant from below.

For these to work you have to thread a ‘wick’ through a couple of holes in the base of each pot so that they dangle into the tray at the bottom. Idea being the water will wick up into the soil at the base of the pot. They do seem to work but only keep the lower half of the soil moist which is what you want. Of course this means you shouldn’t rely on these to water a small plant if its roots don’t reach far down enough so water from above until they get established.

Some little clip on filling spouts are supplied but not sure if I like these as they look a little odd sticking out of the pots – but you don’t have to use them. A little transparent section to see the water level would have been nice. Only way to tell if they need topping up is to either visually look inside or pop your finger in the hole and see if it gets wet. Other than that these are really good…

I ordered this set of plant pots recently as I keep forgetting to water my greens and they’re always on the verge of dying. The set included 6 different sized pots, each pot has its own base, watering lip and a piece of rope to soak up the water. The instructions were very clear on how to set the pots up to get the best results and on top of that they gave me tips on how else I can help my plants. I really liked that the tray locks in position as you can move your pots without spilling the water. The watering lip is very helpful to get water into the tray without having to remove it. After using it for about a week I have already noticed that each of my plants have different watering needs.
My only issue was that I can’t easily see how much water is in the tray and have to be very careful to not overfill it.

Overall though, these are very nice looking pots and the utility is definitely there. Would recommend!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf like me you enjoy growing your own plants, then having decent pots is a key part of the process, along with then remember to water them enough, which can be tricky if you have a busy lifestyle! hence when I saw these self watering pots I was keen to try the out.

First impressions are good, in the pack you get 6 pots, with sizes 20/17.5/16.5/15/14/12.5cm. Each one has a clip on base that contains the water, a filling spout and each comes with a wick that you thread through the bottom of the pot into the water below.

The pots are made from stiff ABS plastic, unlike the flimsy pots you usually get, which break up quickly, so these should last for years.

The concept here being that rather than keeping the bottom of the roots immersed in water, like often happens when a pot sits in a saucer, rather the wick instead soaks up water from below and keeps the soil moist, so then the roots can absorb it.

Setting up is each enough you simply thread the wick through the bottom on the pots, clip on the bases, add the clip on filling spout, add some water via the spout and then you’re good to add your soil and add your seedlings.

You get a decent range of sizes in the pack, the 20cm is nice and large, plenty for a large flower or multiple small ones, and the rest are equally useful for different sized plants.

You can use these both inside and outside, as they are made of ABS plastic, so they will not be damaged by rain, and if anything they are more useful outside as the spout will capture some rain itself, meaning you may not need to water plants very often at all during spring and autumn.

Overall for 22 these are decent value, getting 6 decent sized thick plastic/ceramic pots these days can cost that much anyway, and that’s usually without a saucer to stand in too, so getting this novel self watering concept for free basically with tough plastic is a bit of a steal I think. Certainly is going to make my life easier not worrying about watering my plants constantly.

These FORAGIFT Self-Watering Plant Pots have been an absolute game-changer for our family’s secret sensory garden project. My son, who has a missing chromosome and is autistic, has found immense joy and comfort in tending to his plants, and these pots have played a significant role in making that possible.

First and foremost, the quality of these pots is outstanding. They’re sturdy and well-made, which gives us peace of mind knowing that they’ll withstand the test of time in our garden. The range of sizes available has been incredibly helpful, allowing us to accommodate various types of plants and create a visually appealing arrangement.

The self-watering feature has been a lifesaver, especially on busy days when we might forget to water the plants. With the built-in reservoir and drainage holes, we can rest assured that our plants are getting just the right amount of water they need to thrive.

First off you get a good range of pot sizes which should accommodate most needs.

Each pot is free draining. The saucer locks into position on the base of the pot – there is a entry spout to add water to the saucer. You use a piece of wick that takes up water from the saucer into the main pot so keeping the soil and plant moist.

No reason why this should not work but you would need to be careful not to overfill the saucers – water can clearly exit from the same place you have added it and I am not sure there is a water tight seal with the rest of the pot. The same applies if adding water to the top of the pot as well – you won’t be able to see the water level rising in the saucer. I guess this will take a bit of trial and error to get right.

The wick I guess could also rot away in time and may need replacing.

Clearly it will take some long term testing to know how well these work. I will try to report back on my findings.

Overall so impressed I am by the way they have been made and designed I am happy to recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting concept; should help water plants when away

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered these pots particularly for my windowsill herbs, which are difficult to remember to water often enough. On a hot day, my basil and chervil particularly can dry out and start to droop within a very few hours of watering.
Unpacking: the pack contains pots, matching saucers, clip-on spouts, wicks and an instruction leaflet. The instructions do not cover the use of the wicks, but the listing pictures make it clear how they are to be used: there are two holes in the mesh base that the wicks feed through to create a loop in the pot with the ends in the water. The pots sit above saucers that can be filled with water, and have a mesh base that may allow roots to pass through to the water. Each saucer has a clip-on spout that fits below a recess in the pot to facilitate filling the saucer.
The listing says the wicks are cotton, butI doubted this as the ends appear to have been melted together, which cotton wouldn’t do; so I tested with a burn test. The fibres melted rather than burned, so it’s obviously some form of syntheitc fibre, so I tested the wicking ability by dangling one in some water. The capillary action definitely works, with moisture wicking up the cord, although not as fast as I think it would with pure cotton.
In terms of size, the largest pot is about the size of a 2.5L paint tin (a little smaller than I’d expected from the listing pictures) and the smallest about double the size of the little pots that supermarket herbs come in. The saucers will hold enough water to keep the plants moist, but will probably still need topping up fairly frequently on hot days. The pots are thick, rigid plastic and seem robust.
Look: the green is a pleasant gentle green. The bases are flecked brown, vaguely cork-like, and very much as depicted in the listing.
Overall, I think these pots will definitely help to reduce the need for watering so frequently, but I would have preferred a deeper water reservoir.

-they look nice (I have the teal ones)
-they are plastic, but should be durable (especially indoors, away from UV)
