Don’t be put off at it costing that bit more, well with the extra
After purchasing a cheaper alternative, I returned it cos that’s all it was CHEAP Qquality terrible, so I purchased this one twice the price but well worth it. Quality is superb, proper brass fittings, plenty of functions, can adjust pressure on a sliding scale I just love it. Very light, easy to expand length as advertised
Made from a decent hard wearing plastic, this is a very versatile hosepipe head. I especially like it’s got multiple adjustable spray patterns. Which means I can either water a delicate plant or water a large area of the garden.
I can also see how that ability will be very useful when washing a car or cleaning things. Plus having that control means I could use less water, which could be wallet friendly if someone’s water is metered.
What’s also good with this is it’s just so easy to use.
It attaches nicely and securely to my garden hose pipe without any nonsense. Operating it is as simple as turning a dial, moving a switch then holding down the trigger. It’s also comfortable to use as well.
Another good thing is the colour. The bright orange, compared to the traditional green of such things, means I’m less likely to leave this in the garden. Overall ? It’s a pretty good hosepipe head, especially given the reasonable price.
For the item I received, there was minimal assembly required, there weren’t actually any instructions of any kind, but it was only a matter of inserting a little wire mesh filter into the device, and then screwing in a hose connector on top of that, so it wasn’t any problem to work out what you need to do. A spare hose connector and 2 spare filters were included, which is a nice additional feature. The tap connector is perfectly compatible with the well-known, standard push-fit type, and works perfectly for connecting and releasing, without any leaks.
It’s a great little device, suitable for all kinds of garden jobs.
Great quality hose gun. Feels nice to use and is really good quality plastic construction. Comes with various adapters and seals.
This has 8 settings which isn’t unusual but also has the ability to limit the water flow with a sliding switch in the top. This is great and can easily flick between enough pressure for watering small plants to full pressure and spraying the whole lawn.
Works out the box with my retractable hose and no leaks!

You have to ‘build’ it slightly when it comes though, so bare that in mind as you’ll need some sort of spanner to tighten the hose fitting into the base of the handle – pop the filter in with an o-ring and then tighten the adapter fitting into the handle.
Once all together you can click it into the universal hose adapters and then the functions are the same as most of these spray nozzles, with the sprays such as jet, mist, shower etc.
Overall a nice nozzle gun that does the job. Being plastic the only thing to remember is to drain and take off in winter so the ice doesn’t crack it, but that applies to all makes.
We use our spray gun mainly for cleaning the dogs. We attach it to our hot/cold mixer outdoor tap and when the dogs have been out in muddy areas, it very easy to clean them outside. This spray gun is excellent, it has a gentle spray for the delicate areas and more powerful for the paws and legs where most of the mud is. It attaches to the hose pipe perfectly with no leaks. It is a new hose so I’d expect nothing less.
For the summer it will be used for watering the garden and cleaning the car and again the gentle spray for delicate flowers is perfect but more powerful for cleaning the car without causing any damage.
There are no instructions in the box, but assembly and use is straightforward. I had an issue with leaks from the spray head connector until I fitted a water filter with rubber seal on top of the rubber seal, then nipped the quick connect nozzle tight using a spanner on its two convenient flats.
The trigger and pattern selection works smoothly and the spray patterns are clean and effective. There is a water volume control and a latch that keeps the water on continuously without using the trigger. (see the photos).
The all plastic construction (with metal facing) feels robust but only time will tell how well it will withstand the typical rough handling and weather in the garden. I am impressed with the simplicity and smooth operation of this device, offering all the important features. I am hopeful it will survive several seasons in my garden. At the current price it is excellent value for money, which for me earns it a five star rating.
