I have already bought into the Godox ecosystem, having a V1 flash already as well as the wireless trigger. Benefits of the new Pro upgrade start with the sub-flash, which is extremely useful in some portrait scenarios.
Godox seem to have increased the max continuous flash value to up to 100, not that I’ve ever needed to test the max on my current V1 model, but it’s amazing to have so many flashes available.
Not something that’ll benefit me directly, but I’ve noticed there’s a directly accessible switch to change from TTL to manual. I always use TTL, but I know how deep that option can be in the menu system (which is not always easy to navigate) so this switch will no doubt be appreciated by many professionals.
Another addition which I’m seeing a lot on batteries is the USB-C port built into the battery. This means you don’t need to carry the battery dock around any longer, and if you have a USB cable that splits to one or more USB-C ends, you can charge more than one battery easily.

Der Godox V1 V1Pro O Blitz kam unversehrt und gut verpackt bei uns an.
Blitz und Zubehr sind hochwertig verarbeitet und von sehr guter Qualitt. Die Aufbewahrungstasche ist gut gepolstert und einwandfrei vernht. Hier ist der Blitz perfekt geschtzt.
Die Gebrauchsanweisung ist verstndlich und ausfhrlich beschrieben – leider nur in englischer Sprache.
Der Blitz lsst sich sicher und problemlos auf der Kamera befestigen und sitzt sicher und stabil. Nichts wackelt oder rutscht. Mit einem Gewicht von 1kg finde ich den Blitz nicht zu schwer.
Der Blitz hat eine gute Blitzleistung und leuchtet die Bilder perfekt aus. Auch bei Dmmerlicht liefert er sehr gute Bilder. Der Blitz ist vielseitig einsetzbar und kam bis jetzt noch nicht an seine Grenzen.
Laden mit Typ-C-Ladegert oder dem Original-VC26-Ladegert ist mglich.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt. Fr mich als Hobbyfotograf ist er vllig ausreichend.

Personnellement, je l’utilise avec mon Panasonic DMC-LX100 et je l’avoue je ne suis pas habitue utiliser du matriel Pro
C’est effectivement un gros plus pour mon passe temps favori qu’est la photo.
Ce que j’ai particulirement apprci avec ce flash :
– Sa capacit flasher en continu pleine puissance jusqu’ 100 fois
– Il se recharge via un cable usb C mais on peut aussi y ajouter une alimentation externe (non incluse)
– Sa facilit d’utilisation pour une novice comme moi grce au mode automatique (TTL) qui ajuste automatiquement sa puissance en fonction de la mesure prise par l’appareil photo
– Les diffrentes orientations possibles qui permettent d’avoir un flash indirect, grce la tte du flash qui est orientable et inclinable de 0 330 horizontalement et de -7 120 verticalement
Ce flash GODOX a sans aucun doute d’autres qualits qu’un professionnel de la photo saura optimiser en tout cas pour moi, il est juste parfai
This flash is a high quality product, and offers an impressive array of features for the money. The deciding factor for getting the V1 Pro vs. the non-Pro V1 is the SU-1 sub flash. I’m on the fence whether it really makes a difference.
The main flash can now do more than 100 full power cycles before overheating protection kicks in. The recycle time starts of at about 1.5 seconds, then becomes close to 2 seconds after 50 shots, and gets to about 3 seconds closer to 100 shots.
The main flash’s light is very neutral, with no color cast hat I could detect. The diffusion is very uniform.
The flash accepts magnetic attachments, such as barn doors, bounce card, and a diffuser, but you need to buy them separately.
The SU-1 sub-flash is about 1/16 the power of the main flash, and is meant as a fill flash. If you are using off-camera lights for your main light source, then your on-camera flash will be your fill flash, then you don’t need the SU-1. The SU-1 allows you to direct the main camera up to bounce light, and still have some light usable for fill.
The SU-1 has to be manually controlled, no TTL for it, even if the main flash is in TTL mode.
The main flash can work as a controller for other devices from the Godox X line up.
If you are excited about the idea of using the SU-1 ride-on flash, then this package is for you.
Otherwise, there are many other capable kits that you can get for cheaper, from Godox, Neewer, etc.
Questo e un flash per fotocamere modello V1 Pro O (O sta per Olympus/Panasonic), nella confezione di vendita oltre il flash troviamo: borsa per il trasporto, batteria, cavo USB/USBA e alimentatore, mini stand per slitta, e sub flash SU 1 manuale in lingua cinese e inglese (nella mia versione anche in bundle filtri leggeri colorati e due rigidi).
Premetto che il mio utilizzo e stato nel mio piccolo studio per fotografare oggetti in modalit manuale.
Le principali caratteristiche del flash che mi sono piaciute: abbastanza leggero installato sulla fotocamera, la batteria pu essere estratta per essere ricaricata ma anche alimentata direttamente nel flash (porta frontale PB960), le numerose funzioni e la possibilit di ruotare la testa, oltre alla capacit di controllarlo via wireless in combinazione con altri flash/accessori o di utilizzarlo come master per controllare altri dispositivi.
Nella parte posteriore oltre il pulsante di accensione e i vari pulsanti di impostazioni il display e grande e molto leggibile.
Le caratteristiche Pro sono la velocit di ricarica del flash e di poterlo utilizzarlo in combo quando installato il secondo sub Flash SU1
Difetti controllo wireless solo con altri accessori della stessa marca, il Flash SU1 funziona solo quando e collegato alla fotocamera e non in remoto.
Per il mio utilizzo devo dire che mi e piaciuto molto anche un po’ troppe funzioni per il mio tipo di foto, secondo me e pi adatto a chi fa foto sportive o ritratti, eventi matrimoni ecc. dato la velocit di ricarica elevata del flash.

There are much welcomed improvements from the original V1. You get a better battery with longer life and a USB port making the charger not necessary. And the battery is backwards compatible, swap them at will with the V1 batteries and vice versa. Yay. The refresh rate is improved. The hot shoe is more secure.
There’s a TTL vs Manual switch on the side which is convenient as well as a port for a battery pack, which are both nice bonuses.
My main issue, even though I like this flash, is the improvements are great, but modest. I’m not sure if it’s worth almost $100 to upgrade. A lot of that cost is most likely from the subflash, a 2nd mini flash that’s included, meant as a fill flash, so you don’t really need a bounce card to avoid racoon eyes.
I do want to clarify a few things about the sub flash:
1. It doesn’t work in slave mode, you have to put it on your hot shoe.
2. It’s manual mode only. You set it as a fraction of what the main flash’s power is.
3. It is NOT wireless, which I was disappointed in finding out. I remember a whopping 15 years ago you could get $20-40 mini flash units that were NOT much bigger than the included subflash. You could use them as wireless slaves and they would trigger optically and work fairly well as a hair light. I was under the impression the sub flash could match old technology.
The subflash on this, over a decade later, needs to be ATTACHED to the main unit. It’s ONLY for filling in the racoon eyes when you bounce the main flash off the ceiling. It’s great you don’t need a bounce card or diffuser, but honestly wish you could use this detached.
So my main issue and why it’s four stars as opposed to five (I’d wish I could do 4.5) is the subflash. I imagine it’s contributing a bulk of the extra cost as opposed to the old V1. It also looks bad like a point and shoot camera. At 1/128th power it can be too bright if you’re a few feet away from a person with no way to reduce it. I wish they could at least base the power off a fraction of the main flash, as opposed to having it’s own manual only setting. I don’t see myself EVER using the sub flash.
While I love the improvements, I do feel like it makes more sense economically, to get the Old V1 and with the saved money, buy something like a T685. That’s what I did a while back and worked out well. You can then get the T685 to be used as a wireless slave and get that hair light or place wherever you want to fill in the racoon eyes shadows. Plus you can use the secondary T685 in TTL mode…and use it as a main flash if the V1 goes down.
That’s my opinion and something you should think about if this is your first flash, it may be more bang for your buck to start with the old V1 and get a 2nd cheaper flash unit. The old V1 is still great and the Pro version is definitely better, but only gradually. The subflash is a gimmick.
