This phone has all the features I need and more .
Screen size is good also a flat screen Vs the 7pro .
Battery life is ok 4/5 . I find turning off notifications and closing apps useful.
The camera is excellent in my opinion and the editing options.
As we know the phone gets Google feature drops . Google Gemini in my opinion is excellent.
In all I love my Pixel8pro
I upgraded from my P20 Pro to this phone and things have come a long way. I was most impressed with the setup system that was able to connect to my old phone and transfer everything across including photos, contacts, apps and even call history.
Phone itself is very responsive. Screen is clear and everything works as it should. Took me a little while to find how to turn all the alerts and other things that Google seems intent on posting to the phones screen every few minutes!
This is a big update on my previous 10 year old smart phone! Admittedly, 10 years is a big jump. I wanted the most up to date phone that would give me similar longevity to my old Samsung S7 and I am very happy with it.
It’s lightweight and feels nice in the hand.
I got great value for money.
It’s very easy to use, fast, and has some great features. I wouldn’t change it for a different phone and I think this will last a long while too. I hope it lasts as long as my old S7.
I was let down by Google charging me 999 pounds for the same product but delivery failed after several days of going backwards and forwards saying we can’t give you your money back. I’ve had to leave it in the hands of the bank as the delivery was not my home address. I did work there over 8 years ago but didn’t give that address picture that was shown. I couldn’t recognise I went to the properties four in total and was told that the person who signed it a mark was not employed at either of the businesses there and that they probably could recognise where it was dropped off. So I’m out999
I had a major dither buying this phone. A lot of this was caused by people saying there were issues with the battery life and other negative backchat. Honestly, battery is fine – at the end of a ‘normal’ day it is still saying 65%, which is fine by me.
The cameras are – as everyone says – absolutely superb. I am a commercial photographer of 40 years and the images off this thing are incredible, believe me. I always buy phones with good cameras, but this sets a new standard.
I bought my phone as an opened/returned unit from Amazon/Google. Saved 200 – unit is perfect, just a tiny mark on the box but who cares?
Updates from Google have rolled in over last two weeks – it just gets better.
Glass back is pretty but slippery as a wet fish, so I bought the genuine Google Pixel case in Parchment white to match my phone. Frankly overpriced but really nice in the hand and well made, so like other reviewers of this case have said – just pay the money, you won’t regret it.
Was easy to set up from old phone . Awesome screen, better than on my iPhone 15. Camera also looks better than on iPhone 15. I have set Google pixel watch 2 with 256 GB Google pixel 8 pro phone, they both work awesome together. Shame in my area no 5 g ,so I couldn’t test it on 5g. Overall is fast ,sleek, very responsive phone. I found a lot features what I can’t get on iPhone 15 pro. Is revelant to 10-12 core processor and has 12 GB DDR5 ram. Games do easy. can watch 4 k movies. Performance is spot on ,no issues with apps, lagging or freeze. I tried option set on one hand use, did not make difference when activated it, work same without activating one hand. On iPhone 15 pro face recognition worked better. But screen, camera, video 8 pro fir me looks better. Is definitely phone for photographers and media lovers. My verdict: if you like android phone go for it 8 pro definitely is flagman
Definitely needs a cover for it as it’s slippery.
Google pixel starting beat up iPhone
So… I’ve been an apple user for a very very long time. I love apple. Having said that, I bored of them. I feel as though there as been little REAL innovation. I’ve been interested in the pixel for a long time. Especially in the camera.
I was worried that I couldn’t handle Android, that the eco system would be too complex. It’s early days, but so far so good.
Seems easy to use . Battery seems OK. Not brilliant but no awful.
Camera seems awesome.
I’ll try to update again soo
