Like this series especially good on blueray because of the superior special effects. However, in terms of storyline series 1 was much better. This series was too waffly and slow with way too much ‘chat’ and thought provoking discussio

Got this to add to my collection , have yet to watch it as have other series presently watching. Shame that further series are not being made and cancelled. But looking forward to watching in 4k and Dolby Atmos format.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWith the caveat that I’ve never played a Halo game in my life I must say that I found season one of this television adaptation a great success. Production values were excellent, the cast was great and the story was genuinely interesting. Season two has ramped things up by a huge margin with some genuinely harrowing episodes (“Reach” being the obvious example) that manage to portray just how gruelling the life of a soldier during wartime can be. It’s just a pity that science fiction and fantasy shows are so expensive these days, as it always means we get a limited amount of episode (in this case, only eight) and we’re always left wanting more.

Of course, my enjoyment of this season was soured considerably by news of the show’s cancellation. Yes the producers are shopping a potential season three around, but my hopes aren’t high knowing how much a show like this costs to make. This is even more frustrating given how many plot threads the final episode left dangling, with the fates of so many characters left up in the air. Fingers crossed.

The episodes of course look great on Blu Ray, and the discs include every episode of the Halo after-show as well as a few relatively short promos.

Halo season is bigger and better than the first in every way, as a long Halo fan ever since the original game I personally love this series, yes they need to make changes and expand it more past the games which is completely understandable! New stories with new characters and old but still feel true to the franchise in every way. The budget is amazing, its very movie standard with its amazing effects, every detail from the game as far as the suits and weapons and vehicles is absolutely spot on, the covenant characters like the elites look badass! And we even get a huge brute with his hammer too which is amazing, good running story throughout which still yet again leaves a bit of a hanger, I really hope that we get a series three somehow or another!! Good use of the Halo theme throughout, my only grumble is maybe more Chief action with the suit ON! as we get 80% of his character just walking around without it while other characters appear more cool. He is the main focus (maybe 343 learnt that with infinite the game)

Blu-ray picture looks great in HD.
Features include many featurettes on each disc (147mins total)
Region B UK. Running time 421mins approx. 2023.
    English language. English subtitles.

5.0 out of 5 stars "..GREAT SECOND SEASON.."

The 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray disc version of this series has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard Blu Ray disc version when played through a 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray player and a 4K ULTRA HD TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range).
