I’ve yet to install this as I am in the process of setting up my business but I have done some testing on this machine and I am quite impressed with the included functionality. To start with, it feels like a well made machine and it looks very good. It can be wall mounted (with screws included and a good solid back mount) or you can have it stood on a desk.

The screen is easy to read and the comprehensive booklet is easy to understand and I could set this clocking in machine up quite quickly and easily. I was expecting it to be difficult, but it wasn’t. I really like the clocking-in options. There is fingerprint recognition, RFID card reader or password/number input. All seem to work okay. The functionality of the unit is also good with various time options available.

Data transfer is done by a USB stick, and they supply one in the box. I would have liked to have seen network data transfer but this will do. I’ve yet to consider how to use the data in other software for wages but I will work that out in the future. The data is saved as CSV files.

When I ordered this, its price was around 150 which is a bit expensive compared to others, however it is now retailing at around 90 which is a lot more comparable to others and I think that this is actually pretty good value considering all the various clocking-in choices that you have.

Once my business is up and running and this is in daily use I will update this review further with my findings, however for now with my (somewhat) limited testing, I’m happy to recommend it.

    Cons:
    Still a little overpriced
RFID cards must be bought from HapAttend
    Indoor use only
No WI-FI or Internet (to connect remotely)

The clocking-in machine has streamlined attendance tracking in our small business. Employees find it easy to use, and the fingerprint recognition is quick and accurate. The device automatically calculates hours, which has saved us a lot of time compared to manual tracking. We’ve been using it for a few months now, and it’s been very reliable with no major issues. The lack of monthly fees is a huge bonus. Installation was straightforward, and it doesn’t require a constant internet connection, which ensures data privacy.

Aimed at small (to possibly medium) sized businesses, this machine gives a simple low cost clocking-in solution to help both employers and employees keep their hours in check. No monthly license or upkeep outside of the initial device purchase and the electricity to run it. The machine in essence hosts a cutdown Excel software acting as a writable database that is populated from and exported to an Excel file that keeps track of times in and out and also hosts the registered user list.

The registered user list can be populated via the included USB flash drive on a computer and then loaded up to the clock-in machine or the user can be setup and registered directly on the machineregistering the details to the Excel file. Three options for registering, either fingerprint, PIN number or RFID card. Each method works well but for convenience most will prob go for fingerprintit is after all always on you lol.

Only seems to work however with RFID cards provided by HapAttendattempting to scan my own ID card used for work (a standard MIFARE Classic card) and the internal chip of the card could not be detected, which just contains a read-only serial number.

While listed as suitable for up to 500 users, I would say this is more suitable for lower numbers (of less than say 50 users) as larger number of users would benefit from a centrally hosted solution.

Would be good for small family run businesses that don’t always run set 9-5 hours.

This system is easy to set up and use, with the fingerprints being reliably acknowledged and you can use RFID cards

A cracking solution for a small business and you may decide to use this as a method of recording your time for different projects to allow easy tracking and reporting

With this being a single unit without the normal hassle of a monthly subscription I can see this really appealing to a lot of businesses and consultants alike

The unit is sturdy and doesn’t need a computer attached to it all the time, so impressed with the options it provides and in particular the time breakdowns

    I like i

This unit looks impressive and has all the functions needed to streamline a common administrative task for every business: processing and analysing employee attendance tracking. It automatically calculates hours, saving time and reducing errors in manual calculations.

The fingerprint recognition works well so far, and the inclusion of cards is a good option in case the scanner stops working.

Another advantage is that there are no monthly fees, which is especially beneficial for small businesses, as it eliminates extra ongoing expenses.

The machine’s interface is basic and easy to understand, making it simple to operate and set up.

I particularly like its standalone design, which means it doesn’t need to be connected to a network to transfer data to my computer. Using the included USB memory stick to retrieve data is straightforward and familiar, avoiding the need for a steep learning curve or extensive staff training.

The extracted data with timestamps is clear and easy to interpret.

Overall, this is an easy-to-set-up and user-friendly machine that offers robust functionality and a simple interface.

This item is a reliable and efficient solution for small businesses looking to streamline employee attendance tracking. This device offers multiple methods for clocking in, including fingerprint recognition and a standalone card scanner, which comes with 5 RFID cards, making it versatile and user-friendly.

One of the standout features is its ability to automatically calculate hours, saving time and reducing errors in manual calculations. The lack of monthly fees is a significant advantage, providing a cost-effective solution for managing attendance without ongoing expenses.

The fingerprint recognition works accurately most of the time, though occasionally it may require a second attempt. The standalone design means it doesn’t need to be connected to a computer, which simplifies setup and use. The accompanying software is straightforward, though it could benefit from more detailed instructions for first-time users.

Overall this is a valuable addition to any small business. It offers robust functionality, reliable performance, and a user-friendly interface. My only minor complaint is the occasional hiccup with the fingerprint scanner, but this is a minor issue in an otherwise excellent product. Highly recommended for small businesses looking to improve their attendance tracking.
