Cannot say enough of this game. an old school classic
well made, travels well enough when folded up. but the pieces if left out can go everywhere
my boys love this game and its a good competition beating me
I had been telling my grandchildren about games I played as a kid, battleships being one of these, to demonstrate I drew the grid out on paper; they loved it, however I got bored of drawing out more grids.
A quick search on Amazon and bought this game to play over Xmas. Surprisingly they played it more than I expected and proved to be popular game for all ages.
The case is robust, compact and stores all the pieces.
I bought this present for my daughter. It is a really good way to introduce children to co-ordinates, which is something she will learn in Year 3 at school. The game is just how I remember it as a child, except I know a few more strategies now.
My daughter can easily take this game with her, where ever she is going due to the handle and both boards clip together. There are lots of pegs provided and a good instruction manual for those who have never played Battleships before.
I got this game for my nine-year-olds birthday. It’s a great little game and keeps her entertained for quite some time. I like the fact that all you have to do is unfold it and you are good to play. Everything is compact inside looks great and a good size.
The build quality if the game is good and packs away easily. Is travel friendly also.
Tablets have a time and place but it is worrying kids seem to be constantly on them in restaurants and other places, so like to mix things up a bit with board games etc. Keep them ‘thinking’ rather than sitting being passive.
This was a game I enjoyed in my youth so I purchased it as a gift for my sons. It’s good to play as the game itself hasn’t changed however it feels much more flimsy and the pegs fall out so easily which is very annoying mid play. For this reason it wouldn’t really work as a travel game but having brought this in the Christmas sales I’m not too disappointed.
