Seems to work ok only one thing advertised as no monthly payment but if you want to save callers you need to pay for this not happy about this the advertising is miss leading
Seems good and the looks are sleek and stylish. I felt like I was in a spy movie scanning my home for bugs. I didn’t find any unless you count a spider. I am not surprised I didn’t find any but next time I am away and booked a hotel or especially an AirBNB I will most certainly use this device! Unusual, not something I have thought about using, but now I have it I think this is going to be an essential travel companion!
I tested this at home with one wired and one wireless camera, both have night vision.
It’s important to run tests in a very dark room, as most modern cameras only switch to infrared mode during the dark automatically. Using the flip up viewfinder, I did actually see both cameras when putting the LEDs on strobe mode.
With my wireless camera, it did pick up the Bluetooth radio waves which was interesting, though it only worked close range (within 30cm or so), so you really do need to scan the entire room with this. It did react a lot to my phone, so make sure to power these off completely prior to testing to avoid false positives.
The GPS magnetic field detection is something I will need to review in the coming days, as I need to get hold of an old GPS device.
So far, it seems to work OK but only at close range – may be good to bring when staying at a hotel/airbnb to check for hidden cameras. Will update with further findings.
