Im not much of an expert photogapher and honestly the camea on my phone gets very little use compared to most peoples. However it is actually a very strong perfromeing camera on a premium phone.

Without any assistance teh night and dark shots are pretty well handled by this phone. So I cant imagine many situations where I p[erosnally will find a need to have this mini spotlight with me.

But for someoen who maybe has a phone camera that doesnt perform as well in dimly lit situations I can really see the appeal of this. Or perhaps someone who understands photography better than me and wants to kowingly manipulate lighting scenarios.

The device is compact and lightweight. Easy to charge and use, there are three controls provided for adjustment:
On/Off slider
rotary control for brightness
rotary control for colour

The on/off slider can be a little fiddly if the light is already mounted to the phone and you have it positioned high enough that it doesnt obscure your pinhole central selfie camera. For those who dont have that worry and you can clip it further onto the top of the phone then I am sure it will sit steadily enough that you may not find the on/off slider as fiddly as I did.

The brightness rotary control gives a great range of adjustability. it has a lot of range of motion between off and highest setting so thankfully its not too sensitive and jumps between levels, teh transition is smooth ( and yes it will turn off with the brightness adjuster even though it is already switched on, saving you from constantly faffing trying to use the on/off slider, which is a very good decision.

The colour temp rotary adjust is equally as smooth here as well. LIke most LED with adjustable colour temp it transitions between two sets of LED one warm and one cool. ANd admittedly the transition here is stepless and minutely adjustable. Very well executed.

The individual LEDs are very clearly visible under the diffuser but they do not throw in a spotty fashion at all, the thrown light is well diffused onto the target.
