Myself and my other half have just started playing badminton, and this was a perfect set. Two his and hers rackets, a cover and shuttlecocks – what more do you need as a beginner?
I haven’t used anything from the set yet because my friend hasn’t had a chance to come with me, and by noooooo means am I good at Badminton but I enjoy playing it for fun. The rackets are durable and could probably survive one or two rage quits, the shuttlecocks seem great as well and you get 3 in a set. The bag’s material feels cheap and I wish the adjustable strap was longer because it’s awkward to carry, but everything is great and I’m excited!
I was asked by some fellow consumers about the weight of the racket. I weighed it on my kitchen scale and it weighs 97 grams. That is as it was delivered without adding extra grip.
Pretty much all parts of this set are fine.
The racquets themselves are nicely constructed and are lightweight with well tensioned strings.
They are both the same but with a different colour scheme, so there is no real functional difference between the two. They are fairly stiff, with little flex, so these would be good for beginner to intermediate players.
The supplied shuttlecocks are also of a similar standard, well made and good for pretty much all non-competitive use.
The case is ok, nothing special, but functional and of a decent enough quality.
So over all, this is pretty good value and ideal for someone wanting a set that is a level above the low end garden/picnic sets and is looking to get into badminton more seriously but doesn’t want to spend the top end prices for the competitive equipment, which can be fairly expensive.
This is worthy of 5 stars, but that is based on the set being an intermediate level set, this isn’t going to be as good or better than sets 2 or 3 times the cost, obviously, but it is a great set at a good price.
I’ve really been enjoying this Kawasaki badminton set. It’s fantastic that everything fits neatly back into the included carry bag, making storage and transport a breeze. The quality of the rackets, with their lightweight graphite shafts and carbon alloy frames, has truly impressed me. So far, I’ve only played indoors, but they’ve performed excellently. It’s a great set for both casual play and more serious training sessions.
This Kawasaki badminton racket set consists of a carry bag (with a mesh front), two rackets, 3 feathered shuttlecocks (in a cardboard tube) and 2 yellow overgrips.
One of the rackets was green and yellow and the other red and white, both looked very smart and are exceptionally well made. The handles were shrink wrapped in plastic to protect them but once removed they reveal a comfortable black grip.
The rackets are very light to hold, balance well in the hand with a good strong tension that produces a lovely sounding ‘ping’ when hitting the shuttlecock.
A lovely quality badminton kit to have and use.
I’m really impressed with this set. I wasn’t expecting too much for the price, but really impressed with everything.
The rackets are great quality, light, sturdy and have a decent thwack to them in use. The tension on the strings is spot on and has a nice bounce when struck. The protective shipping plastic wrapped around the handles is a bit of a faff to remove, but that is my only criticism of the entire set. The shuttlecock’s surprised me, i was expecting full plastic ones but the quality here is excellent and they fly well.
For a budget priced set these have exceeded my expectations and can’t wait for more use as the weather improves!
The rackets are indeed lightweight, which makes them very comfortable to hold and wield during a match. This is particularly beneficial if you’re not used to playing frequently or if you’re just starting out. The reduced weight helps prevent fatigue and allows for longer playing sessions.
The construction feels solid for the price. They’re not professional-grade rackets, but they’re certainly sturdy enough for recreational play. The handles are comfortable to grip, and the strings are tensioned well enough to provide a good response during play.
The set comes with two rackets, which is perfect for playing with a friend or partner. They’re also stored in a carrying case, which is convenient for transport and helps protect the rackets when they’re not in use.
I’ve used these rackets both indoors and outdoors, and they’ve performed well in both settings. They’re durable enough to handle the occasional rough landing on concrete or grass, although I would recommend using a shuttlecock designed for outdoor play to prolong the life of the rackets.
Kawasaki Badminton Racket Set of 2, Lightweight Graphite Shaft Carbon Alloy Frame Badminton Rackets for Training.
This is the second Kawasaki Badminton set that i’ve purchased and i’m just as happy with this one as I was the other one. These have a carbon alloy frames and graphite shafts so they’re both lightweight and durable.
I’m a relative starter so this set was perfect for a casual game.
These are definitely a GREAT starter set for any adult wanting to take up badminton. They are a step up from the children/beach sets and for the money provide a really good entry point for raquets and shuttlecocks. My husband plays competitively and was dismissive of these when they first arrived (as he has really expensive kit and thought these would be a bit flimsy bearing in mind the low price point), but after giving them a go when we were playing for fun with some friends he thought they were brilliant.
This set consists of two rackets a pack of three Shuttlecocks, a case and two rolls of grip tape. The rackets seem well made and work well, the weight and balance seems spot on to me (as an amateur), The shuttlecocks are also quite nice and come in a nice protective tube. I don’t think you could beat this pack with regards value for money.
Kawasaki Badminton Racket Set of 2.
Well, I never knew that Kawasaki made anything other than motorbikes and certainly not badminton racket sets. You live and learn.
You get 2 really nicely made, lightweight aluminium badminton rackets with the Kawasaki branding.
They feel great in your hand, well balanced and the strings are nice and tight so you get that satisfying “ting” when you hit the shuttlecock.
They feel very premium quality, which is what I’d expect from a well known brand, despite this being essentially a budget set.
Also included is a set of tapes for giving the handles a bit more grip, if needed. I thought the grips they came with were just fine for my needs.
There’s also a tube of shuttlecocks. These are great quality and have traditional feather flights as opposed to the all plastic ones you’d expect in a set.
It’s all kept in the only giveaway that this is a budget set, a rather lack lustre carrying bag.
Ok, the bag is fine for keeping everything in and it has an adjustable carrying strap, but it just looks and feels cheap compared to the contents.
But you don’t play badminton with the bag so I can overlook it.
The rackets and shuttlecocks are great though and play really well.
Overall it’s a very impressive set that oozes quality in the look and construction of the rackets especially.
I have not played badminton for many years but thought this would be fun for the garden or camping trips. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these as I was expecting something really thin and cheap, but I found these were of a decent quality for the priced paid and a good starter set. They would suit someone who was not sure if they wanted to take it up properly as they are not too expensive, but will do a decent job. I like that they have a carry bag for the set and some shuttlecocks to get you playing from day 1. Overall, I would say a decent set for the money (36.99 at time of review).
My reviews follow this star rating:
1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. I do not recommend buying it,
2 Stars; Significant deficiencies, does not fulfil its expected functions,
3 Stars; Average product. Complies with expectations,
4 Stars; Very good and satisfying. I liked it and it’s a quality product,
5 Stars; Excellent, exceeds expectations.
This badminton set is perfect for beginners or for amateurs, especially for taking on holiday.
The rackets are well strung and taut and very lightweight, and you also get 3 feather shuttlecocks and 2 handle grips with the rackets.
The carry case is light with an adjustable handle, but doesn’t offer any protection and so I would say this is aimed at people who just want to take this with them on holiday or to use in the garden or beach, rather than people who are playing on a regular basis.
It is much better than the cheap brands you see for sale, and good quality. I do think that at the current price of 36.99 it is a little expensive.
We fences playing some badminton in the garden so we ordered this badminton set.
I must say before you read this review , we have no idea about other badminton sets so can only review this one on its own merits.
So in the package you get the carrying bag two badminton rackets, some shuttle cocks and two bands that I’m not actually sure how to use! (I’m sure anyone who has played badminton property before we’ll know what these are for).
The badminton rackets themselves seem very well made and are definitely lightweight, the shuttlecocks are all well made and they’re not cheap and nasty ones that are all bendy and thin like the ones you buy from a cheap beach shop.
It’s just great fun in the garden just smatting a shuttlecock about with these great badminton rackets.
I would say this is a great badminton set if you are looking to get all you need to start yourself off with, we absolutely love it.
So this gets five stars all day!
These badminton racquets are ideal for leisure play, family fun, and perfect for the beach or when we go camping.
They come with three feather shuttlecocks, some additional grips and a zipped bag to carry and store them in which is thin and offers no protection at all.
The racquets are good for a knock about but I don’t think they’d be good for someone who is past beginner level.
The design is very lightweight and the racquets have a cool finish to them. I think they’d be easy for older kids and teens to use as well as adults.
They are fairly priced in my opinion and a good starter set.
If care is taken when they are played with they should last.
I hope you find my review helpful.
You get 2 rackets in different colours, 3 real feather shuttlecocks, 2 spare grip tapes amd a carry bag with shoulder strap.
The rackets are well tensioned and give a good snap.
A cut above the basic rackets.
Perfect for amateur games, very decent kit.
Only let-down at this price is cheap looking carry bag with slightly sticky cover.
