I got this floating grip to replace another grip I had because I really wanted the 1/4 inch socket to be able to integrate this into a mount, and it works perfectly for that. Build quality is really nice, too. I feel bad taking off one star, but the issue is this–the grip comes with a quick release, which is super nice if you want to freely detach your camera for any reason, but the connection is all-plastic. That means that you have to mount the floating grip right next to the camera instead of at the end of a boom, which is was I was hoping to do. Forces from an extended boom multiply by the time they reach the grip, and the quick release feels sketchy at the end of, for example, a fully extended invisible selfie stick holding an Insta 360. Of course, the solution is to move the grip up between the camera and the boom, which is not a huge deal. I only point out that had they made the quick release connection out of metal or way more beefed up, then users like me would have more mounting options. That all said, I do love this grip. It works really well, and I am still glad I got it because it still integrates into a fixed mounting solution for filming over water.
I was able to request and get this floating hand grip for free from Amazon Vine, and I would have no problem spending my own money on this if I had to get another one–I might look around for something that addresses what I discussed above, but barring something very clearly on-point, I would likely just get this again. I recommend.
This is nice, lightweight, stable handle to mount an action camera. It is a great diameter that feels easy to grip and hold, features a solid wrist strap, feels well-made, and can float in the water! It also has a standard screw mount on the bottom as well for additional versatility! I’d highly recommend!
I picked this up for my Hero 8 that I uses snorkeling. The grip is buoyant and gives me security knowing I have additional help in locating it if I happen to lose it in the water. The handle’s anti-slip design and secure wrist lanyard make it reliable for underwater use, even in turbulent conditions. The fast-release feature feels secure with its dual-lock mechanism. Compared to smaller handles, this one stands out with its larger size and universal attachment, fitting various action camera accessories. It’s durable yet lightweight. The orange adds visibility, making it easier to locate in water. Overall, it’s a solid choice for water sports enthusiasts, offering practicality and peace of mind for capturing adventurous moments underwater.
Love the grip on this – it’s easy to hang on to with wet hands. Not really sure about the quick-disconnect though. I might end up gluing that part to ensure it doesn’t inadvertently disconnect. The size of this handle is just a bit bigger than others so it’s much easier to keep a solid grip on.
First off, the grip’s waterproof feature gives me peace of mind during water activities. It’s a relief to know that even if I accidentally drop my camera, it will stay afloat, thanks to the buoyant design. The fast-release mechanism is another standout feature. It makes swapping between different accessories or adjusting the angle of the camera a breeze, ensuring I never miss a shot. I also like the anti-slip handle, which provides a secure grip even when my hands are wet.
Have one of these for one of our camera, glad to have another. These things work great! Much easier to snorkel holding this, vs the tiny camera.
Knocking off a star however, because unlike every other one of these I have seen, this one does not have a removeable bottom. So you cannot store items (perhaps a few dollar bills, etc) in the handle.
Es ist viel Zubehr dabei, was immer nice to have ist.
So I’ve been using this when out kayaking Englands rivers(I have river license), and I’m happy to say that it works great.
I like the overall feel of this in my hand, it has a decent girth that makes it easy hold, the width of the handle, along with the nicely done rubberised ergonomic grip mean I can grab this quickly to film when I want to.
The addition of a nice bright lanyard is a real bonus, it’s big enough to get my gloved hand through and does what it should, it feels strong and durable, I have no concerns with it at all.
I like the fact I can put this onto a tripod or monopod etc, with no problems because it has the standardised threading on the bottom to screw it too them.
All I all, this is an awesome bit of kit in my opinion. Worth 5 stars, because it does what it should faultlessly, and feels well made to me.
At 22 it is good value for money and works well. The grip is notably sturdy and floats well, ensuring my camera stays above water if dropped. It features a quick-release head that’s more reliable than I thought it would be so that a plus point right there. It allows for quick and easy adjustments, ensuring my camera is secure. The foam grip is comfortable, even when wet, and the wrist strap adds an extra layer of security. Overall, it’s a solid accessory for any water-based activities, making it easy to carry and use my GoPro without worry.
This is a good float. The wrist strap is weak however, so I’ll be relaxing it with some more durable cord so it doesn’t break if I clip it to something. The twist off feature of the top also has me a bit concerned that it could come off accidentally, so I’ll be putting a tether from my GoPro to the handle
The “K&F Concept Waterproof Floating Hand Grip, Fast-Release Design Compatible with GoPro, Bottom 1/4 Interface” is exactly what I have been looking for. I have a “GoPro” type underwater camera. I needed a grip that could be submerged in salt water and not be destroyed. This allows me to not only take my camera underwater, but if I drop it now, it will float.
I like the handle but floats with my camera and it is comfortable. However it has this rotating lock to hold the camera mount on. It has lots of little plastic parts that I work will break with use. It seems to click in solid, but it looks like it could break with use.
For use as a monopod when walking. The only tracking pole with a screw for the camera that I could find.
A cap to protect the screw thread and shaped for hand comfort would be a design improvement. I had to buy one separately. Otherwise I’m very pleased with it.
I needed something light and simple to give support when using my long zoom lens. I have a tripod but it is too cumbersome for trailing through the countryside when out walking. This fits the bill perfectly and doubles up as a walking stick.
This is a well built monopod that I have used in the field for a number of shoots. It has performed well. It’s lightweight and easy to use with a good length on the pole if needed
Took this with me on a 3 month trip to japan and was one of the most useful Tog items.
Very lightweight and durable. Was able to wear without feeling burdensome. In some places you’re not allowed a tripod or to rest things on the floor such as in temples but with the monopod you can simply rest it on your foot and continue no problem!!
Got this as it is easier to carry than my tripod and can also be used as a walking stick. It’s lightweight, robust and works well. I would recommend to anyone thinking about a monopod a it represents good value but as I try to photograph wildlife I realised that you need a swivel head to go with it as this is fixed. have now ordered.
Works well so far. I have used it twice so far and the rubber bottom is already showing noticeable signs of wear so I don’t think this is a long lasting product.
Good monopod, nice and light. Good make quality and comes with good-looking bag. The only criticism is it a little long when folded (I know I should have checked!), not too bad going around a countryside but a bit awkward around the city and can’t fit in backpack or messenger bag.
