This is a beautifully detailed Lego sightseeing bus, especially as it’s quite small. The build was good fun and the instructions easy to follow. My 7 year old managed it with very little help. Looks fantastic when complete.
My son was so happy and excited building this after we recently had a double-decker sightseeing bus ride. This is a joy to assemble that I myself wants to help. Size is decent and colour is spot on and very nice as a display item as well. He spends lots of time playing with it. Great as a gift or a souvenir item from a city tour.
This lego bus is so much fun and ideal for younger lego fans. As with all Lego sets the instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. The bus is well designed and comes with a rotatable destination display. The doors can be opened and you can also access the lower deck by removing the top. There are 5 mini figures included in the set. Perfect for imaginary play.
This is a great Lego model of a sight seeing double decker bus.
The kit comes in three bags and a sheet of a lot of stickers with the very detailed manual.
Assembly is from the lower level upwards and is done in two main parts, the lower half of the bus and the upper deck. Putting together the model is easy by following the instructions and sorting the parts out by colour.
All the pieces fit together nicely and the upper deck joins onto the lower deck without any issues and is quite firmly held in place. However not soo firmly such that you cannot remove the upper deck so you can access the lower deck to help the baby and buggy out of the bus!
The bus has a lot of details such as the rotating destination front panel, or lifting engine cover.
The double decker bus rolls really well and freely on its wheels and is a nice size to play with.
The stickers are good and need care to ensure they are applied straight on the appropriate Lego pieces.
My 7 year old Nephew had no issues putting this model together and really enjoyed it.
This is a simple build Lego set aimed at 7 years plus. My son is addicted to Lego so he was very excited to try this out. His favourite sets are the Lego City range also so this goes perfectly with what he has already in the range.
This contains 382 pieces and a nice simple instruction booklet, my 8 year old was able to do this by himself without any help and it took him about 2 hours to build, taking his time and the set itself has excellent play value with the bus, 5 mini-figures including a small baby figure and a pushchair, plus accessories such as a camera, smartphone and microphone. I also love that the display on the front of the bus can be rotated to change the destination from various locations. Great value!
Great quality and a really fun set by itself or to expand what you have! Recommended.
I ordered this Lego bus kit to build along with the assistance of my daughter who is a huge Lego fan. Although the kit is considered a small kit, it still took quite a lot of assembly, which is obviously the fun part.
It’s the first Lega vehicle we’ve built together, and certainly won’t be our last.
It comes with all the bricks etc that you will need to build it, plus instructions and 5 mini figures (passengers).
Lego has put so much though into the design of this kit, and it shows in the detail, it was a lot of fun to build, looks amazing when it’s finished, and I’m very happy to recommend it.
This is yet another absolutely fantastic set from Lego. For one of their smaller sets, it’s packed with fun features and details and was a really entertaining build (I won’t give any spoilers!). The inside of the bus was surprisingly detailed and it even has an opening ‘boot’ to see the electric ‘battery’. Like their modular buildings, the top of the bus is connected by a few studs but designed to be taken on and off. It didn’t take me long to build, perhaps an hour or two in the middle of getting on with other things at the same time.
It was also great that the set comes with 5 minifigures with accessories, including the baby mini fig in a pushchair, which can be clipped into the buggy space in the bottom of the bus. It does have a lot of stickers which is unsurprising given the low price point of the set, but these were all easy to apply and get aligned in the right place. The completed build size was also slightly larger than I thought it would be; it won’t look out of place in a street scene of modular buildings.
All in all I’d highly recommend, one of my favourite smaller Lego sets so far.
We truly loved building this model, although it was quite intricate in places and there were many opportunities for us to go wrong, which we gladly took. Undoing the wrong bits didn’t take too long as they were obvious fairly quickly and the rebuild similarly didn’t take too long.
The build is reasonably stable, although the top of the bus is designed to come off, so that is necessarily a weaker point in the completed bus. The doors open, the boot opens, the destination signs move around and the wheels on the bus go round and round. Sorry, momentarily got distracted.
There are five figures, including the baby in the pram with props of a book, camera, microphone and pram. So plenty of people to move around to add to the fun.
It is a fulsome build and offers great value both in terms of the challenge of getting it together and the time it takes, but also it has a lot of moving parts and lots of figures to motivate. One of our favourite ever builds and completed in a couple of full-on hours.
This LEGO City Red Double-Decker Sightseeing Bus is a great new addition to the City range.
Lego of course is always of great quality – 384 pieces , brilliant illustrations and easy to follow instructions to build . 7+ age group is about right as there some fiddly bits but very doable and just enough patience and care to get the most out of the enjoyment of putting it together.
A good selection of mini figures from bus driver to to a baby in a pram , love the little camera.
As ever with Lego , the play value is in the moving parts and being able to act out scenes. The changeable destination sign is a nice tough , and wide opening doors making it easier to move figures in and out.
The only disappointment is the number of stickers . They are always a bit tricky to attach in exatly the right place and often need adult help or tweezers. The stickers are bright and add to the scene , but I worry about them wearing off or curling over time and it also means that the lego is harder to keep clean.
wonderful Lego though as always and this fab bus will get lots of play fitting perfectly into the City scenes
I absolutely love this set. I have wanted it since I seen it advertised months before release day so was so excited to build it.
It lived up to all expectations of the build.
Looks amazing when finished.
Comes with some great minifigures including the little baby.
This is a nice display piece, or a excellent addition to your lego city set up. Very playable all on its own, moving parts doors to open my son has had so much fun playing with it.
Comes with a few stickers to apply this didn’t bother me as I don’t mind the stickers.
Instruction book was clearly printed easy to follow kept simple for younger builders.
I built it at a steadybpace to enjoy it and took around 1 hour to complete.
Excellent quality as expected.
Split up into 3 numbers bags/sections.
110% recommend to any Lego fan you won’t be disappointed.
I bought this for my twin grandson and they were totally engrossed when building it. It kept them away fromo screen games. They followed the instructions and kept each level lego pieces in a lego storage draw box..
Some super cool features for the price it’s definitely worth it for any Lego fan.
Excellent set and good value for money! Great set with both play value for children and fantastic display value for adults. Good selection of mini figures and integrates well with the other lego modular buildings.
LEGO in this house is a favourite! Thank you
