Seems to be a great set of batteries.
The holder is smart and the lid remains closed when shaken and so will happily put this in my camera bag.
There is a slot in the holder for an SD card which is a nice touch.
The battery life so far seems comparable to the OEM, will update if this changes over multiple recharges.
There’s nothing worse than running out of charge mid project, especially if you’re not working near a mains supply. This dual charger with included batteries, should ensure that you get enough charge for the most demanding of days.
Priced at 129.99 less a 27 voucher at the time of ordering, this set appears to offer great value for money. To get the equivalent Canon originals would set you back significantly more. The quality seems good, both in terms of materials used and build, it looks good and fits in well with the aesthetics of my camera gear and its a reassuringly solid unit.
The charger acts as a convenient carry pack when not charging, and it’s good that you can check the current charge level at the click of a button via the easy to read LED display.
Performance seemed generally on a pat with the original battery. If anything, the charger seemed to report a lower charge than the camera when not fully charged, e.g the camera said the battery had 58% charge, but the charger said 49%, but nothing agreed at 100% so it wasn’t a problem. I also found that it was more of a trickle charger, certainly not fast, but as you can charge two at once, it saves time overall.
Ultimately the level of value this offers will depend on the user. If you never have need for more than one battery, this is perhaps overkill. However, if you regularly use your batteries in one day, thus can be a godsend. The fact that you can use this with mains, car or even a powerbank gives it excellent versatility, I just jhope that the batteries themselves continue to perform well as time passes.
The llano LP-E6NH battery charger/charging case and twin battery set arrived very professionally packed in a shrink wrapped colour printed cardboard box bearing the llano branding.
In the box you get the charging case, a USB C charging cable, a carrying lanyard, a soft carrying/storage pouch, 2 x LP-E6NH compatible batteries and an instruction manual.
The well designed charging case features PD fast charging for two LP-E6NH batteries at the same time and as an added bonus also features an SD card storage slot.
The LP-E6NH compatible batteries have a capacity of 2400mAh which is a slight increase in the standard Canon LP-E6NH capacity of 2130mAh.
The LP-E6NH batteries fit snugly into the charging slots without any slop and the unit will fully charge both batteries in around 180 minutes.
The finish of the case is exceptional and this is a good looking modern case.
Possibly in the upper price range for a charger but with all the built in design features and storage this is worth paying a bit extra and the overall price is almost half of what it would cost just to buy two of the Canon LP-E6NH batteries.
I got this as I wanted to get some extra batteries and a charger for my Canon R5. The issue is that the original Canon batteries cost an arm and a leg, plus the charging cradle also costs a lot of money. This combo from llano looked a great option.
In the box, there is the charging cradle itself, two llano branded batteries, a bag to store it all, a USB C cable and a wrist strap. The batteries include match perfectly the normal LP-E6N batteries from Canon so there is no jiggling about like other 3rd party batteries. They also do extremely well with charge! They charge quite quickly in the cradle, but then last just as long as the original batteries! This is very impressive seeing as a Canon LP-E6N is normally 69 a piece!
The cradle itself is an all plastic build, the outer plastic is this soft touch style which feels really nice in the hand but also feels quite grippy. The display is easily visable in most lights. I found that in some bright lights it can be difficult to see, however I am normally only going to be using this display to make sure we are at 100% before heading out for a shoot. The hinge closes solidly and retains itself really well. I turned this upside down and shook it about to simulate being loose in a camera bag and was unable to get the batteries to break free. Inside there is also a SD card slot. This comes in useful when needing to just stash spare cards!
The charging speed of this was very impressive though! I was able to fully charge both batteries in the time it takes to charge a single battery on the OEM charger. This not only saves a lot of time but also allows me to save a plug socket to charge two batteries. There is no worse feeling than waking up in the morning to realise you forgot to swap the batteries over. That thought it no more with this cradle!
Overall, I am really happy with this. While this may initially look expensive, you are getting a lot of value for your money! Two OEM batteries and a charging cradle would cost 187 and this with the discount only costs 102 while getting the same performance and dual charging. This is going to be staying in my kit bag and I will likely get others for my other cameras! 5/5!

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.
In terms of physical quality, the charger appears to be well-made – the construction is robust, with a sleek finish. Though it’s on the bulky side, you would still be able to fit it in a standard camera bag. Of course, being able to store two batteries plus an SD card inside the case will free up more room in said bag.
I personally requested the charger because I use a Canon 7D Mark II for wildlife photography, and have a glut of batteries that always need charging (especially because I generally use two at a time, in a battery grip). The dual charging function would be very handy for charging one pair, whilst I am using another.
Having tested a number of different cells, I can confirm that the older LP-E6N’s are compatible, as well as the newer (and higher capacity) LPE6NH’s. As has already been pointed out by another reviewer, there is an issue with the battery percentage reading on the case when it’s unplugged – my batteries were showing as 91% and 100% charged, when they were both actually more depleted than that (my photos illustrate the difference). Regardless, I was able to get them fully charged within the space of 10 minutes, which was pretty fast!
Overall, it’s a useful set – the spare batteries are definitely useful, whilst the charger offers versatility thanks to its USB-C compatibility, making it possible to use a power bank, and charge on the go. Recommended.
This set offers a nice solution for Canon LP-E6 compatible batteries. The charger securely holds two LP-E6 batteries, a bit like an earbud case. It also includes a slot for a spare SD card.
Charging speed is quick, with two batteries charging fully in approximately 3 hours. Power is supplied via a USB-C socket, and the best speed is obtained with a charging plug that delivers >18W. I didn’t find that it got particularly hot, but you can charge with the lid off for better ventilation and cooling. Battery status is displayed on the front screen. A green lightning symbol indicates fast charging, and two white dashes if the battery is inserted incorrectly or is empty.
The included 2400mAh, LP-E6 batteries should be enough to allow high-bitrate 4K and 8K recording. My OEM batteries are dead so I couldn’t perform side-by-side tests but I’m satisfied with how these perform.
The current price of 135.00 (but with a 33 voucher) makes this set a steal. For roughly the cost of a single OEM battery, you get two high-capacity batteries and the dual charger. The fact you can charge this with a universal USB-C cable makes the charger better than the Canon original IMO, and this will be great for travelling because you can charge it in the car or using a power brick. My 20W power brick worked perfectly.
Non-OEM batteries are always a bit of a gamble in terms of life expectancy but I have heard good things about this brand, so I have high hopes.
I think I like this a lot.
But, for the record, when the unit wasn’t plugged in, it gave both batteries a 100% charge. As soon as it was plugged in, one battery was 58% and one was 59%. I would have wanted to get an accurate reading of the remaining charge – how else do I know whether the batteries need charging?
The styling is lovely, like a little camera, and it’s presented beautifully.
The batteries charged super quick and didn’t overheat. They don’t last as long as original Canon batteries, but the originals are upwards of 110 *each* so for the same price you get two very good batteries and a fast charger for both.
Plus you can charge it via a power bank because it comes with a USB cord so you can charge your batteries while you’re out and about.
But I do still have a real issue with the false reading of the 100% battery charge. That could cause some issues if you’re out in the field.
I’m absolutely chuffed to bits with the llano dual battery charger set. I don’t use my camera that regularly so when I recently went to use the charger that I bought last year it didn’t seem to be charging well at all. I had to quickly buy another for my holiday but it was one where the batteries just slot on a base plate. The llano battery charger is so much better as it can be used to store the batteries when charged. It charged through a USB-C lead which I need as I don’t always have the luxury of mains power sockets, let alone a supply of plug adapters, when I’m away.
The whole unit feels quality, a lovely matt black with a sleeve to protect it from scratches and knocks. I particularly love the display that tells you the level of charge and, my word, it charges super-fast. I always have around 4 batteries on the go, one in use and the others on standby, but once a battery is low I want to get it charged as soon as possible, just in case.
I haven’t tested the batteries yet but I find that non-branded mostly work equal or better than the original one I got with my camera so I’m confident that these will stand up against others I’ve had.
This is a lot to pay out for a charger but the quality and that it comes with the 2 batteries definitely warrants the price.
The issue I have with my stock Canon chargers is they all come with a two prong plug adapter so I need to plug them into a wall socket for them to draw power.
This 18w fast charger and battery set from ‘llano’ cost 113.00 at time of review, which is less than the cost of single, genuine Canon LP-E6NH battery and for that you’re getting 2x high-capacity batteries and the twin charger, that can draw power from any USB power source.
The unit itself feels around the same weight as the Canon, and has a nice simple display although it did dim ever so slightly when the green lightening icon came on, as if the lightening was drawing power from it, and I’m not sure the writing around the top is really required?
The magnetic lid was fine, although if the lid is open and there’s no battery inside, expect the charger to fall over a lot as it becomes quite top heavy when open and empty.
I also didn’t understand the thumb print button on the front, which is described as a power button. It did absolutely nothing for me so I’m not sure if mine was faulty? If it was faulty then I didn’t feel I was missing out on anything so I’m not sure why it’s there in the first place?
Despite these ‘characteristics’ the charger charges all my batteries and does it quickly without generating any heat or giving me any cause for concern and being able to charge via USB easily cancels out the shortcomings of the case.
Battery wise, I had no issues and noticed no difference from my genuine LP-E6NH batteries, being able to shoot H+ framerates on my Canon R5 for just as long as I’m used to with the real ones.
I’ve included the specs of both chargers and batteries in the photos as I don’t really know the importance of the numbers, other than the mAh, which is slightly more with these llano batteries, indicating a slightly larger capacity.
For the price of a single Canon battery (which has a slightly lower capacity) you’re getting two batteries and a twin charger that you can literally use in the middle of a field with a power bank if you had to.
That in itself is enough for me to recommend this battery set, although it’s not perfect and had the display on the charger not dimmed, the button on the front worked/not been there and had it been better balanced when open and empty, I would’ve rated the set higher.
The Llano Dual Battery Charger case for LP-E6 is an Airpods-inspired charging solution for camera batteries. The case measures 108 x 83 x 43mm and holds 2 LP-E6 batteries. It also includes a slot for a spare SD card. Both the card and batteries are securely retained, preventing accidental dislodging when the lid opens in your bag.
This charger offers faster charging than most USB LP-E6 chargers. In my tests, it charged two batteries from near empty to full in around 192 minutes. It uses a USB-C power socket and requires a PD-compatible charger with at least 18W of power for fast charging. This allows you to charge from wall sockets or compatible power banks. You can even charge with the lid off for better heat dissipation.
Unlike Airpods, this case cannot charge your camera directly. It features a screen on the front that displays the charging status of your batteries at the press of a button. If a battery is not inserted correctly or is empty, you’ll see two dashes. When charging, a green lightning symbol appears. The charger successfully charged both original and included batteries to 100% as recognized by the camera.
The included pack comes with two LP-E6 NH batteries rated at 2400mAh. A key feature is the inclusion of NH batteries, which allow high speed stills; high bitrate 4K and 8K recording on my EOS R5. The battery life for 8K shooting is slightly shorter than with Canon’s original battery; Llano’s battery lasted just under 35 minutes compared to the original battery’s 43 minutes in my tests.
The Llano charging case addresses a major issue with many USB charging cases: the lack of dual charging. While the case is a bit on the large side, roughly the size of 4 LP-E6 batteries, hopefully, a future version will be more compact. Even at its current size, it’s a great travel companion for fast dual charging.
