Bought for bathroom because it will run off of 4xAA batteries. its neat and well formed, but best of all the sound quality is very good, for the price, well recommended. 1 star subtracted because the centre round knob does too many things, when you want to switch off it goes to mute, then on again then you have to get the pressing time just right for it to turn off, apart from that a great little radio.
In short this is a lovely radio but consider who you are buying it for. It might not be the best unit out there for the elderly, those with poor eyesight, or individuals who are neurologically challenged.
I’m short, it’s an amazing little speaker. It’s very quiet but you can fiddle with the settings to make it louder and have a bit more bass. Do note that when you up the bass it doesn’t like it that much as it’s starts to crackle and sound a bit horrible with some songs. But it’s more than loud enough for one or two people in a household.
I like the fact that you can move it around with you as it can take AA batteries. However it doesn’t last long at all with little cheap batteries so a portable charger would be a sufficient option/backup.
For the price and for what it can do I do think this is a good option but do note that the bass and loudness isn’t the best but for the size and cost you can’t really go wrong.
I’m thinking of moving it in my bedroom as an alarm clock/speaker and getting a speaker that can handle the bass without it crackling some of the time.
I hope this helps
Reece!
Happy to recommend and not extortionate either.
It has the volume on the front as a dial rather than up and down buttons. Reception is great and picked up everything we wanted
Would reccomend
