Experienced sore cracked nipples during first week of breast feeding as a new mom. It was getting so uncomfortable to the point I was ready to give up but I used this cream plus warm compresses and healed completely in just a few days. Now I am comfortably feeding my very hungry baby.
I ordered this because with exclusively pumping and nursing my nipples became so sore that I wanted to just quit. This cream is such a life saver and helped me have a little more faith in my breastfeeding journey! I’ve been using for a little over a week now and it makes all the difference along with practicing some better latching and adjusting my flanges. Just apply after each pumping or nursing session (after cleaning of course) and my nipples feel so much better each time. I just wish the tubes were bigger for the price.
I feel no difference when I apply it and then I pump. It’s supposed to decreased the discomfort when pumping, but it doesn’t feel like it hydrates the area, and moisturizes it.
It feels like vaseline, and for that you can wear the actual vaseline.
I haven’t even started breastfeeding yet because I’m still pregnant, but my nipples were already starting to crack and be uncomfortable. I used this one day ad it improved significantly I will put more bottles of this on my baby registry!!!!!
I like how the cream is kind of thick and I only need a very small amount. The bottle is bigger than I expected. It can sometimes be cold when applying but warms up quick.
4 stars instead of 5 for 1 reason only. If its not somewhere warm or sitting in your pocket it comes out a little chunky, which ive seen with many brands across 5 pregnancies. You just need to massage the product between your fingers to soften in down into an oily liquid. This is 100% NORMAL with 9/10 nipple moisturizing products. I’ve been using this exclusively since labor for 2.5 months and ive experienced sore and dry nipples but using this has kept me mositruzied and havent had completely chapped, cracked, or bleeding from breastfeeding and pumping. 10/10 would use again and recommend to all mothers. I use it along side my momcozy portable pump and momcozy bra for breastfeeding/pump holder for wired pump.
I love this but I have a feeling the overuse of it contributed to me getting thrush (based on timing). I’ll still use it because I love it but I’m only going to use it for when I pump and as sparingly as possible after nursing of my nipples feel like they need it. It does separate as other reviews say but that doesn’t bother me and for the price point is fine. It’s less messy than coconut oil by itself, so I’d still recommend and say use sparingly.
