Really nice QHD IPS panel – first one had very obvious artefacts (fine vertical lines with red bleed) but Amazon replaced it immediately and the replacement is excellent. Great product and great service from Amazon.

Best purchase this summer. Extremely light to carry, easy to connect and the image quality is top. Made working remotely so much easier. Doesn’t use much of the laptop battery either.

My first MSI, monitor. I bought this for my daughter.
I have bought a lot of IT equipment over the years and this really stands out as value.
Seconds to assemble, not tools required.
A decent image in use refresh is 1ms / 100hz.
excellant value, when looking at secone hand and the average is 50 notes for used 27inch.

Brightness is good in daylight and night time, easy to set up, works well in a dual screen set up. High enough refresh rate for music production work.
Overall good product for my needs

5.0 out of 5 stars Works a treat in a dual set up

I got this monitor for 59 and it’s probably the best 59 I’ve spent this year. Pleasantly surprised by the screen size and resolution. It’s made working from my new home desk really comfortable and fun. I love the design and it was very easy to install and connect to my work laptop. Sound quality is also great. 10/10

My old Dad’s Dell monitor was playing up (touch buttons randomly ‘pressing’ themselves) so I thought to treat him to a new one. I was quite shocked that I could get a monitor of this size for only 56 pounds. I didn’t expect too much, but on setting it up the picture quality is great! A significant improvement in brightness and clarity, and nice to have speakers included rather than needing the Dell soundbar. Totally recommend.

After a mishap with a monitor desk mount my secondary monitor decided to take a belly flop onto the desk that had a few nuts and bolts on. After turning on the monitor I found out that the monitor was too damaged to display anything.

Searching Amazon for a cheap monitor for a secondary display I saw this MSI PRO MP251 24.5 Inch Full HD. Ticked all the boxes for a secondary display. 24.5 inch, IPS, 100hz and cheap!

My first new stand alone monitor since a very old CRT. Yes we are going back quite a while. LOL! This thing is brilliant. Of course, you will be thinking. Well any monitor is better than a CRT. But I’m not that new shy. I do have other new laptop, Tablet and phone, etc. I bought this to go with my new Bosgame Mini PC. for my hobby bench. The Mini PC attaches neatly behind it via the vesa mounts. Saves even more space. Anyway. This monitor is the bee’s knees for 1080p and even above, and not at all bad sound as monitors go. That far exceeds my expectations. A fantastic monitor for the price. Buy one, or even two, if you need a dual set up. You won’t be disappointed.

For 120 it’s okay, I am reviewing this monitor compared to my other 500 top end 1440p 27inch Monitor so keep that in mind,

All the colors seem to be slightly off And it doesn’t seem to be as bright as well, In all honesty, I’ve had better 100 24 inch 1080p Monitors then this one,

But it’s one of them. If you’ve never had a 1440p monitor before, It will be good for you, but compared to a top end monitor, like I said, everything is slightly off, It’s good enough for me as a second monitor, But I wouldn’t recommend paying more than 120 for it at all.

Easy to set up with a good quality stand. Bought primarily for business use.

Eyecare mode comes enabled / Eco mode enabled. If you are doing more graphic intensive work turn off the eye care and eco mode to make the colours more vivid.

Plug and play – No setup required.

Minor quibble – The buttons are on the back which means you cannot see what you are pressing while changing the settings. But this does give the monitor a clean design.

I’ve been using this monitor for about 3 weeks to browse the web and play the sims and I love everything about it! It’s a great size and it’s fully adjustable for the perfect viewing angle. I charge my iPad, keyboard and mouse directly from the monitor so it keeps my desk clearer. Great image quality and the screens anti glare coating is good, I use it in a well lit room and I don’t see any reflections or glare. It’s very bright, in my room with all lights on I only need the screen on 80% brightness. Highly recommended

Very good quality display that comes with cables required to get yp and running.
Instructions are rubbish !!!!! Fortunately it’s super easy to use. Good image and sounds okay too.
Powered from my EcoFlow battery and uses 5W power.
Can’t wait to run it from my Mele mini PC for my astrophotography setup.

At the time of purchase, I paid 69 for this monitor and I have to say it’s a bargain at that, even at 80/90 I would consider it a good value monitor, let me list the points that are good instead of waffling on.

    As a side note, I came from a 10-year-old 21.5″ 1080p/60fps screen

    1. Probably the sweet spot for size at 24.5, I’m using it at a desk so it’s pretty close but it’s a good size, 27″ would be too big but 21.5 was quite small.
    2. Easy to click base to monitor, no screws required
    3. Using HDMI is nice as opposed to screwing in the DVI cable, it’s the small things that count(HDMI cable included)
    4. The built-in speakers are not terrible, they get the job done(video attached and volume set to 50% on the monitor) as soon as headphones are turned on the monitor sound stops
    5. Initially the monitor is set to 1080p 60hz max setting so flick this over to PC 1080p 100hz and your good to go
    6. It’s good enough for gaming, I know people like 1ms 240hz monitors nowadays but if you are a light gamer this is plenty, you may need to adjust the settings of the game to be a constant 100fps, or failing that you don’t have to set that, do whatever you want, keep games at 60 if need be

I think I have made enough points to recommend this monitor, hopefully, it will last years like my last one, thanks amazon for the quick and safe arrival 🙂

This produces very clear images so a huge improvement on the previous monitor.
Did have to fit another fuse because the 10 amp blew.
However great value at 69.99 so not griping about the cost of a new fuse.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersMy Dell 2405FPW finally died after 18 years and I was looking for a replacement but didn’t want to spend a lot of money, as I don’t care for 8K gaming, curved screens or any other gimmicks.

This popped up so I searched around various sites for reviews which were surprisingly positive, the only negatives being a general lack of features, fair build quality and 6-bit + FRC as opposed to true 8-bit colour.

As my desktop use is primarily browsing/reading and watching videos I decided to give it a go.

Ordered Friday, delivered Monday (included in the 69 total) I opened the box, slid out the polystyrene inserts and set it up. This is very simple and requires no tools: plug the stand into the base, press into the back of the screen, clip in the cable tidy, plug in the separate power brick, insert either an HDMI or DisplayPort cable, press the rear power button and you’re all set.

The screen tilts but doesn’t adjust for height (didn’t bother me) and all display controls are situated on the right at the rear, including the power light. I only accessed these once when setting it up so can’t complain about the location, plus it gives a minimalist & tidy appearance.

It also lacks the USB ports and card reader of my Dell, but I found a USB hub & card reader in my spares bin, so problem solved. There is a slot at the front of the stand which is ideal for standing your phone in (sideways) which is a nice touch. No speakers, but they would no doubt be puny if included and I always use external speakers so this isn’t an issue.

I always turn the brightness, contrast and colour settings down to give a more natural appearance to images and was pleased to see it was capable of a 100Hz refresh rate (tested successfully), compared with the 75Hz of my old Dell.

Subjectively, text appears slightly sharper than the Dell, blacks are black rather than dark grey (a strength of VA LCD panels), and video playback is smooth without tearing or artefacts. I occasionally play old DOS games and had no complaints with fast movement or response times.

Before using it I ran a dead-pixel checker which displays/cycles primary colours to help locate any dead or stuck pixels, an unfortunate drawback of LCD technology. Manufacturers generally state that a couple of these outside of the main viewing area are deemed acceptable and not considered a fault.

My Dell had one stuck (blue) pixel at the very top of the screen which was not an issue during use but slightly irritating all the same, so I was pleasantly surprised at the complete absence of any faulty pixels on the MSI.

Time will tell with regards longevity but so far so good. I will update this review in a few months.

    12/06/2024 – update

Nothing untoward to report, still working fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb value for money

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor the money I paid (69) it’s hard to not recommend. It’s important to understand what you’re buying and what for, in my case for some 3D printing and some gaming.

For casual stuff like CAD, web browsing and watching videos it really shines but for gaming however because it’s a VA panel the response times are not the best which leads to smearing of the image (especially dark areas).

Don’t be fooled by the 1MPRT as this is essentially an overdrive setting to achieve 1ms, this again leads to an overly sharp image and smearing. Do for twitchy shooters like Valorant or CS2 I can’t recommend but for slower games it’s something you can perhaps look past.

The colours are nice out of the box, I don’t t have anything to test it so I can’t comment on colour accuracy but for the average consumer it’s nice if maybe a little oversaturated.

I think finally the price, for the money this thing costs I can almost overlook it’s problems, who thought even 5 years ago you could get a 100hz 1080p monitor for less than 70 so based on that I would recommend for the average person but I can’t recommend it for someone who is looking for a gaming monitor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the money, standard VA panel issues
