Both bee propolis and Manuka honey are known for its nutritional values and healing / soothing properties. This is an excellent natural product for all to use, especially little ones. As expected (given the ingredients) it is quite expensive and this may put me off replacing it when it is finished. It has lasted well though (2 months now) and, depending on how much use I get from it, I’ll consider repurchasing based on the benefits.

I must say that I am very happy with this propolis spray by Plantonin. I was not hoping for much, but I got better than I had hoped for. It worked a treat. I admit that I thought it would take ages if at all to work. But after the first two goes I felt much better.

I don’t think it tastes too bad, but that didn’t matter. All that does matter is the fact that after 5 days of pain and being unable to eat because it hurt to swallow, I am now pain free. It took 2 days for the pain to completely go, but I did feel it getting better after just the first sprays. I can say that the use by date was 2021, so that was a bonus. It came the very next day so that was brilliant. The addition of manuka honey infused in this spray really sets it apart from competitors and has made a huge difference in the soreness of my throat!

I will be buying more when this one runs out, but as I have plenty left that may be a while. I highly recommend this product to all. It was cheep too!!! Happy days!!!

Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

Much has been made in recent years of the near-mythical properties of manuka honey, so I was very interested to see this little spray bottle designed to help with sore throats, sinus infections and similar. I am very prone to the above though have not been hit hard yet this winter so perhaps not in the best position to judge its full efficacy. It taste of honey, though with a slight aftertaste that strangely reminded me of artificial sweeteners, though not at all unpleasant. You spray it into the back of the throat, 2 squirts every 3 hours, and at this rate it will last for approximately 83 doses. I haven’t used it nearly so much as, like I say, I have not been hit hard with any sore throats yet this winter (touch wood). There have been a couple of occasions when I felt like I might have a sore throat coming on, and I have used this, and nothing more has come of it, so perhaps it’s just that good! At 19.99 at time of writing, it’s not cheap – manuka honey never is! – but it’s a pleasant way to take your medicine, portable to take anywhere, and the various benefits have been proven. I’d certainly rather take this than various other cold remedies from the chemist.

This spray does actually work short-term to relieve sore throat symptoms and pain. It is made with manuka honey which is a natural antibacterial agent and will kill bacteria in the throat on contact. It does taste of honey (which I love) and it only works for a few hours before it needs re-applying, but it helps to prevent coughing which would hurt your throat worse and it reduces how contagious you are. It won’t help sinus symptoms though (runny nose, sneezing, face/head pain) as it only works on the throat, so bear that in mind.

I used it, didn’t taste that bad. I didn’t spray as much as it said. It took me a few times to get the hang of spaying as made me gag. I sprayed the top of throat where sore a few times a day for 3 days, the 3rd day was so much less sore & inflamed.

It Really numbs the pain in minutes and no need to use anything else, completely takes the sore throat away.

Truly excellent product. Effective and handy.

This spray comes at the perfect timing as my son was having a sore throat and coughing the last two weeks. He tried this and he said it gave him a great relief from the painful throat just after a few uses. His coughing has also stopped now.

It’s easy to take, and since it’s small and portable, it doesn’t take a lot of space in the handbag, or even in the pocket. My son put this in his Jean’s pocket and took it everywhere with him.

I gave it a try and it is very nice with a deep flavour of raw manuka honey, a similar taste from the one I bought from Holland Barret with a very high MGO rating.

This throat spray is made from a mixture of a pure and concentrated bee propolis and manuka honey.

It retails at 19.99 (at the time of writing) for a small 20 ml bottle, which may seem quite expensive. However, it’s effective, it cleared my son’s bad sore throat in a matter of days, therefore, I think it is worth every penny. Would easily recommend it.

Plantonin Bee Propolis Throat spray is made from Manuka Honey from New Zealand. I have only quite recently discovered the potential of bee propolis. I tried – and am still using – a skin propolis preparation, also coming out of New Zeland, which I’ve found is helping hugely with a small area of eczema just in front of one of my ears. This has virtually cleared up now.

So these days whenever I see the words ‘bee propolis’ I get understandably interested. This Plantonin throat spray is non-GMO and contains no preservatives or chemical compounds. It’s pleasant to take as well as being quick and convenient to use. It’s also compact and very easy to carry around. It soothes the throat very effectively in my view. This 20ml pack gives 83 x 2 spray serves – and when you think how much over the counter throat lozenges cost, I don’t think that’s excessive.

I have been suffereing from light cough causing by tickly throat for a few weeks. Two packets of lozenge had been consumed which worked to soothe my throat but the symptoms improved slowly. After receiving this manuka honey throat spray, I decided to give it a try. It is manufactured in New Zealand, which sounds reassuring about its quality and safety. It is easy to use and the sprays can reach the back of the throat. It tastes nice and safe to swollow. It soothed my throat instantly and after a few days of using it the tickle in my throat has settling down. I still keep the spray on my night table just in case my throat is tickly during the night.

I found myself in a situation where I’d been screaming and I don’t do this often so when it does happen my throat ends up very sore. Normally I’d drink warm tea and rest and time will help calm things down.

I gave this spray a try and while it didn’t get rid of all the discomfort and any pain, it helped a fair bit and very quickly. As I described before, without the spray I’d be drinking tea over the next few hours and trying to avoid dairy too (I forgot to mention). However, this spray gave me some instant relief and I’m really happy about it! I don’t think this has any numbing agents but my thought was able to “bounce back” faster than without so I’d definitely recommend it based on my experience!

I have a dry mouth, which leads to an uncomfortable throat which if I don’t drink something, leads to a sore throat. Through the day this isn’t to awkward as I drink a lot of water, but in the evenings I don’t want to drink because I end up needing to go to the loo all night.
Hubs actually found this and suggested I try it.
It primed quickly after three pumps, and dispenses a lovely small light spray of sweet and very slightly menthol liquid. The suggested dose is 2 sprays every 3 hours, and there is a total of 83 sprays at this quantity.
Long shelf life, expires 2025, ingredients are glycerine, water, propolis extract, manuka honey, menthol lactate, natural honey and sucralose.
After the first spray, my throat wasn’t as dry, my nose also felt less stuffy, so I have high hopes for this.

I suffer from chronic pharyngitis and often have a very sore throat, so I was happy to give this a try. Bee Propolis is antimicrobial, antioxidative and anti-ulcer so it is perfect for me. It contains Manuka honey, New Zealand manuka honey is absolutely the best. I like that it is water infused and not alcohol like most, alcohol-based sprays can cause more harm to sensitive throats. The spray is easy to use, it has a good powerful fine spray that coats my throat well, it gives almost instant relief from pain. This is by far the most relief I have gotten from throat pain, very impressive spray.

No waxy texture but dewy and sweet with extra notes of woody herby taste. Pleasantly rich and deep honey flavour.

It is slightly syrupy but mostly runny liquid and when squirted directly into the back of the mouth goes smoothly without causing any burning sensations etc.

Cough and sore throat soothing sweets give me mouth ulcers unlike this little powerhouse of remarkable medicinal properties that doesn’t cause anything of the sort.

The best way to describe the sensation and effect of using this spray will be as follows: it relaxes the scratchy dry feel in the throat instantly, changes the viscosity of saliva so it is not sticky and calms irritation that causes a cough.

Also, I appreciate the size of the portable spray bottle. I can bring it anywhere with me for on-the-go use.

Not cheap! But should last a while if used sparingly. It’s an interesting one a definite hit of strong raw honey taste, so if you’re not a fan of that you’ll not get on well with this! It does seem to work, for me at least. Could be a useful quick fix for the start of a sore throat, or at least something to soothe that isn’t a painkiller or a lozenge. Easy enough to use.

An effective throat spray at soothing a sore throat, while not an immediate fix I can be sure that it certainly momentarily eases the pain and perhaps even quicken the healing time but I have no way of knowing if that’s the case for sure.
The spray mechanism is reliable and gets a nice steady spritz of the solution to the back of my throat and effectively coats it.
On the more expensive side when it comes to throat sprays but it’s to be expected with a Manuka honey product and you do also get a lot of applications within the one bottle.
