I really like this controller so far had it for about 5 months now. No problems I don’t mess with changing the joysticks, but the programmable buttons and Rapid Fire mode are pretty neat. Overall good quality it’s wireless uses USB works on my Xbox and PC great. The only issue I’ve noticed is that connecting to the dongle can be a little long but I think that’s a personal computer problem since it’s not like this on my Xbox.

Many non-oem controllers I’ve used are a huge downgrade as compared to the original controllers. This one actually feels like a genuine upgrade. I love the feel of the sticks over the oem xbox controllers.

    Initial Impressions – PC

Feels a bit smaller and lighter than the Xbox controller.
I’ve been using that for several years now as the go to with extremely high compatibility these days, even though I don’t own the last couple gen systems and game on a PC.
One controller to rule them all!

Mostly I wanted to hate it because it’s wireless and not Bluetooth in 2024.

You know what though, it handles very well. Controls, buttons and triggers are tight and responsive.
No discernible lag for me. It’s possible it may handle better than OEM.

Buttons & triggers seem to have different inputs sometimes and in windows the controllers diagnostics show several of them sharing the same input but it works fine and doesn’t do that in the games I’ve tested so far and general compatibility is excellent so far. (Not talking about the macro buttons, still haven’t figured out how to program them yet)

    Pros:
It’s got a built in rechargeable battery instead having to swap them in.
You can swap in different nubs for the analog controllers
Headphone jack audio on PC works hasn’t on OEM controller for me
    Handles well

    Cons:
I promise that chrome paint on the D-pad and macro buttons is going to wear off

Still I’m not sure I’m 100% sold, I believe I’d suggest most people get a OEM controller first even if this does handle better (if not just for the sake of standardization and compatibilities sake). I’m going to use it more though that’s for sure.

BTW: people complaining about the lights you can turn them off by pressing back and A or B at the same time.

I ordered this for my daughter. She says that it feels lighter/cheaper than Microsoft controllers, but it works well and without lag. The buttons are positioned differently than the official controller and takes some getting used to. It comes with several spare buttons but she hasn’t had the need to replace any yet. There haven’t been any range issues. The buttons glow and she has mixed feelings about that. She says the glowing buttons can be distracting. The rechargeable battery is nice. The controller feels good in her hands, but she would not choose this over a Microsoft controller. She views it as a spare for when friends come over.

First, it doesn’t seem cheap. Most of the buttons seem crisp, even the macro buttons. The D-pad isn’t as precise, and it’s a bit slick, being just chromed-over plastic. There’s good, grippy texture on the undersides, though. Also, I like that you can turn off some of the bling if you find the lights distracting. The controller feels right too, weighing in at 203 grams, compared to the standard controller at 279g. It’s balanced similar to the standard one, with more weight in the wings near your palms. I’m happy enough with the default stick buttons, but there are 5 other sets in the pack too. They are just held on with a friction fit, so it’s easy to change. For reference, the default ones are 9.5mm and there are 2 other sets of similar height, the mushroom shaped ones are 11.5mm, then a couple of really tall ones at 16mm and 24mm. Recharging is via USB-C, so charging stands won’t work.

Setup is dead simple, just plug in the adapter to the back of the Xbox and press home. The connection happened in an instant. Unfortunately though, the adapter did not like being put in the media cabinet, surrounded by other stuff, and it would constantly lose connection, even from 10′ away. For me, the fix was to use a short USB extension to put the adapter at the front of the Xbox. From this position, the controller works fine, even from 30+’ away.

So far, I’m liking turbo button a lot – it makes it simple to just spray an actionalmost cheating. Also, it’s handy to lock in a macro to one of the keys on the bottom, under your middle finger. Somehow, especially versus certain people, that seems natural.

Good quality, short range (see fix)

Okay, first off this is a solid controller. Nice fit in the hands, the normal buttons and joysticks have a nice feel to them, and it has no problems connecting ( as long as you have it wired or the USB controller plugged in).
Downsides- The dang light on the controller is to bright! There’s no way I’ve found to turn in down or off like a normal Xbox controller. Also, the extra programmable buttons press weird. They just don’t feel good to use.

All in all not a bad controller if you’re looking for one with extra programmable buttons and one with turbo functions.

I’ve been using this controller for a little over a month and it’s been a dream. The set up involved inserting the USB link into the Xbox, and starting up the controller, that’s it. It’s lightweight, the thumb sticks are comfortable, it is rechargeable, and I’ve had zero issues. The way I burn through official Xbox controllers, I will probably be buying this one again when the inevitable happens.
