With the rise in car thefts on our estate I wanted to make sure I am doing all I can to prevent it from happening to us so I ordered this box to put our keys in to try.

It’s hard to know if it works because I don’t have a way of testing it but it does look modern and it is securely fastened shut with the metal fastener at the front. The inside is padded too so nothing that gets put in there should get scratched with this added protection.

It also comes with pouches too so you can feel secure when your out of the home too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A modern looking security aid

This is a box. It is sturdily built. It has a workable clasp, and a fine shiny finish.

It also does something to protect your credit cards from evil rats, or radio waves, or something. Cool.

I presume this bit works. I didn’t buy this for security reasons. I bought it for in-car storage, and it excels at that.

If you’re just after a decent box, then I can recommend this. If you need the security features offered, other reviews will be your guiding light.

It’s a poor do that thieves are robbing our cars by taking advantage of their technology. These Faraday bags are a good preventative measure.
However, it’s hard to remember to use them. I keep my spares in the bags but it’s nice to have a box for my daily keys and to keep the table tidy.

    Pros:

    Comprehensive Security:
The Faraday box provides effective signal blocking for car keys, preventing theft by blocking key fob signals, ensuring car security.

    Extra Large Capacity:
The box’s large size allows it to store multiple key fobs and other small electronic devices, making it suitable for households with multiple cars or devices.

    Additional Accessories:
Comes with two Faraday pouches and two RFID blocking card holders, providing extra layers of protection for car keys, credit cards, and other sensitive items.

    Durable Construction:
Made from high-quality materials that ensure durability and long-lasting use, offering consistent protection against signal hacking.

    Aesthetic Design:
The box features a sleek and modern design that fits well with home dcor, allowing it to be placed conveniently anywhere in the house.

    Convenient and Portable:
The Faraday pouches and card holders are portable, allowing users to protect their keys and cards when they are on the go, ensuring continuous security.

    Multi-Purpose Use:
Besides car keys, the Faraday box can also protect other small electronic devices like smartphones and smartwatches from signal interception.

    Peace of Mind:
Provides users with peace of mind knowing their car keys are safe from signal relay attacks, reducing the risk of car theft.

    Cons:

    Size:
While the extra-large capacity is a benefit for some, it might be unnecessarily bulky for users with fewer items to protect, taking up more space than needed.

    Cost:
The comprehensive set, including the Faraday box, pouches, and card holders, might be more expensive compared to basic signal blocking products, which could be a consideration for budget-conscious buyers.

    Potential Wear and Tear:
The Faraday pouches, due to frequent use, might wear out over time, reducing their effectiveness and requiring replacements.

    Limited Aesthetic Options:
The design options might be limited, which could be a drawback for users who prefer more variety or specific aesthetics to match their home dcor.

    Storage Requirement:
Users need to remember to consistently store their car keys in the Faraday box or pouches, which might be an inconvenience for some.

    Effectiveness Over Time:
The signal blocking effectiveness of the Faraday materials may diminish over time, necessitating periodic testing to ensure continued protection.

    Initial Learning Curve:
Users new to Faraday products might need a brief period to understand how to use the box and pouches effectively for optimal protection.

    Bulky Pouches:
The Faraday pouches, when filled, might be bulkier than standard key holders, potentially making them less convenient to carry in pockets or small bags.

Overall, the RealPlus Extra Large Faraday Box for Car Keys offers a comprehensive solution for protecting car keys and other electronic devices from signal interception. However, potential users should consider the size, cost, and maintenance requirements to ensure it fits their specific needs and preferences.

I have to say that the faraday box is great and does a great job at masking your keys signal. It’s big enough to fit multiple set of keys, or anything else you want to protect. The box itself is really stylish and looks great in your house.
It’s nice to see that you also get pouches for when you are not in the house or card sleeves for the newer cars that have changed from keys to cards. Everything works as advertised and offers great value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Faraday box

I ordered this RealPlus Faraday Box having had a Faraday Box previously which was quite a bit smaller.
The makers of these things don’t like to give you too much space, I see because although bigger this one is still only 8.64 inches by 5.11 inches; it’s also 4.13 inches tall (not very).

However what’s important about this one is that it actually does fit most mobile phones, and they can lie flat on the bottom. Still waiting for the Faraday Box that fits a laptop, give it time!!

I am however very pleased with this box. It is well finished and appear to have RFID-blocking lining that fits without gaps around the edge. Its the perfect thing to sit in the hallway, and pop any devices in, like car keys and electronics you want a break from, so that you can relax and be disconnected for a while!

The package comes complete with an RFID car keys sheath, and two paper-thin credit card sleeves, which I have to admit I wouldn’t be without these days. You don’t have to be wary of International gangs of thieves, its enough of a faff if you get charged on your card instead of your train pass, to want to avoid as much as possible!

Unfortunately I think the need for Faraday boxes will only increase and you might as well get one that is big enough to take a range of items (even older phone storage space, SIM cards, SD cards, anything with wireless technology) …. if it fits in the box, pop it in!

    FIve stars!

Been looking at getting one of these boxes for ages but not many are big enough. I can confirm that this is an excellent size faraday box though, it’s the biggest one i’ve found, the lining on both the box and it’s lid is neat and well done, and forms a double seal around the edges when the lid is closed.

I put my phone case in the box to give an idea on size, perfect for storing multiple keys and wallets etc.

I’ve tried multiple times to see if there’s any signal leak and it’s been 100% effective so far.

The 2 pouches that come with the box both work at blocking the keyfob signal, but from past experience with these, they tend to weaken and fail at the flap and let the signal leak eventually, but obviously it’s dependant on your usage. Just check every month that it still blocks the signal.

You get 2 small RFID blocking card slots, the photo shows my finger pointing to one that has my card in, you can see the car fits fully inside and i have 2 of these in my wallet, they still fit in the wallet slots for cards so an excellent addition to the box and pouches.

This is a great package for protecting your cards and keys, everything is well made and blocks the RFID signal like it’s supposed to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfect at blocking the signal, very decent size box, fully lined.

I have used a slightly smaller box for some time, now- moving up from a tin video cassette case for a single set of keys and as the need for secure storage increased, so did the need for another box. Now with this one , if’s maybe only a little larger on percentage terms, but it stores far more phones, car keys, sd cards and enabled devices are all at risk and need some masking.
The box is sturdily made and quite simple in appearance, I am not totally convinced of the outer materials, but the lining is EM shielding and wraps around the boxes’ lid to give an leak free overlap. A gilded clamp secures the top in place, with the the lid having no mechanical hinge but a wrap around outer materials around which to pivot, again blocking any RF leakage. AS the lid is a bit bigger, I also noted that the fit is better, it gives less of a clash with the extended interior wall which provides an overlap of RF blocking materials. which I noted in my smaller box.
Interior is full-on metallic material and the box comes with a par of RF blocking key wallets with a single velcro closing pocket and in integral key ring to keep it secure.
Tried using a mobile and an air-tag- no signal comes out of it, even a wireless mouse on this review- once closed- not a squeak. Works really well and should give piece on mind if you have a keyless entry car key set.

I’ve got another box like this, but it’s smaller. This one easily takes everyone’s keys, including key rings and house keys. It looks like a jewellery box, so not ugly. It comes with two key pockets, which also stop the wireless key broadcasting. There is also a small slip pocket that would fit in a wallet or purse that you can put a credit/debit card in. All the item do what they are designed to do. I’ll use the box more compared to the other things. Overall good
