SG Basketball Hoop with Stand
Quick and safe arrival, the instructions were clear and it is easy to assemble by one person!
I have given 4* because one screw was missing, I managed to replace easily, despite that the Hoop is fantastic I have taken down to take to friends houses, it is a quick set up and easy to fit in our car.
Adults and children playing, we have had hours of fun already!
Looks sturdy enough to last a long while so we are looking forward to enjoy for many summers to come.
This Set comes with a flaw in that one of the bolts provided is a M8 50mm but the instructions specify it should be M8 60mm. You need this early on in the construction process so if you are going to buy one of these it’s worth getting the bolt and nut that you will require to complete it. It can’t be put together with the 50mm bolt – it’s just too short. Perhaps the sellers will start providing the correct bolt, they certainly should but who knows. I think I paid around 3 to buy the M8 60mm bolt and nut.
That said, once it’s together it’s a great, sturdy piece of kit. The kids have loved having it in the garden to shoot hoops. It’s a good size and we filled the base with water. I really like that the height is adjustable too as it enables the younger siblings to join in the fun.. Love it.
I’ve had a portable basketball set before that sadly wasn’t that stable, due to a smaller base, however this seems to be a lot better. The base is fairly large and will weight down with water or, for a more permanent solution, sand could be used.
This is reasonably easy to put together, arriving in kit form, but with the sections neatly packed around the base.
Putting it together can take a good 15 to 20 mins. It’s best to take your time and follow the I structure s, but it’s fairly simple and easy to understand.
You don’t get a basketball included, but it’s suitable for all standard sized balls and feels fairly stable. Don’t go jumping and grabbing the ring though and it’ll probably cause it to topple. For normal use, however, it’s more than stable enough.
I’ll be taking this into the office so we can shoot some hoops in the yard at the back, so will upload more built photos once I’ve got it there and up.
Initial views are positive. It looks professional and is ideal for practice or, combined with another, you could use for a full game. Vslue-wide, it seems reasonable for the rice. You can also adjust it easy enough.

Ideal for those, like me, looking for a flexible and practical option for playing basketball, both for individual training and for amateur games between friends or family.

The overall quality of the product is good, once filled with water it’s very sturdy and should withstand reasonable wind, but I would make sure it’s put up against something in high wind conditions. (Or remove the top section).
I’ve dropped a star because one of the bolts that should be 60mm was 50mm, so I had to go in my garage and find a suitable m8 bolt and cut it down to 60mm. (If you are buying this as a gift, I would recommend checking the pack contents to make sure you have all of the required nuts, bolts and components). Luckily I have loads of nuts and bolts in my garage but if you didn’t it would be a major disappointment.
Assembly should take around 10-15 minutes but took an extra 10 minutes due to the wrong size bolt being supplied.
