This is a good quality braided cable. I got it for use with a raspberry Pi and the picture quality is perfect. Not much else to be said really other than that if you need a micro-HDMI compatible cable, this one is excellent for the job.
The Pi 4 is not the latest iteration of the Raspberry Pi, but I cannot think the HDMI output is much different on the newer Pi 5. This lead is perfect for connecting my Pi 4 to my LED TV’s auxiliary input. The picture quality is great, the sound too. It replaces an adapter to a full size HDMI cable – a far cheaper option but I have never liked the adapter and full HD connector weighing down on the tiny micro HDMI socket.
The lead is 2 metres long and covered in a wear resistant protective braid. The plugs incorporte strain relief, and it should also be suitable for all those other devices which have a micro HDMI outlets.

This Micro HDMI to HDMI cable is very useful if you have a laptop, camera or another device with a micro HDMI output (like a Raspberry Pi) that you need to connect to a monitor.
It is made from high-quality components, with metal connector bodies, and in my testing works very well. The braided cable is stiffer than others I’ve owned. This hopefully improves durability but it does result in a less flexible cable however it hasn’t been a problem for me.
Having been impressed with the quality of this Silkland cable, I ordered another cable from the manufacturer.
Currently priced just under 10 for the 2m cable this seems good value considering it is a quality product.
Nowadays there doesn’t seem to be so much call for this type of lead as USB-C seems to be replacing the micro-HDMI leads, however my Canon D90 and GoPro both have a micro-HDMI output and so this is a useful lead for me.
The Quality of the lead is great, which is what you would expect from a lead rated at 8K, contacts are gold plated and the lead is nylon sheathed. The lead works well at 4K but I am unable to test it up to the 8K as my equipment wont allow this. 10.99 (at time of review) seems a good price for this level of quality.
icely braided HDMI cable with well made connectors. the cable isn’t super inflexible, which means that my raspberry pi won’t be dragged around the desk if I bump the cable. if you’re sure micro HDMI is what you need, just get this one.
I recently used the micro HDMI cable to connect my GoPro Hero 7 to my HDTV, and it worked flawlessly. Supporting 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz resolutions, it provided stunning video quality.
The cable’s nylon braided wire and aluminum shell make it incredibly durable. Its ergonomic design and gold-plated connectors ensure stable, high-speed 48Gbps transmission without signal loss.
Compatible with a wide range of devices, it also supports Dynamic HDR, Dolby Atmos, and eARC for an immersive audio-visual experience. The bi-directional feature is a bonus.
Highly recommend this cable for anyone needing top-notch video quality and durability!
Ordered this to connect my new Raspberry Pi 5. The new PI 5 model has a raft of upgrades, with the most noticeable being the new micro HDMI that has replaced the older full sized HDMI port on older models. This cable arrived quickly and packed in a ziplock bag. The cable is very well made, with nylon braided sleeve and well molded connectors. Picture quality is good with no issues once connected. A great, well made heavy duty cable that will stand up to everyday use. Great price and quality- Highly recommended addition for any Pi5 user…
Review of Silkland 8K, 4K Micro HDMI to HDMI 2M, [8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz].
This cable bought specifically for transfer of pictures and video from my various camera equipment, the micro HDMI connector fits my camera’s well and is not loose, the full size HDMI plug also tight fitting in my laptop allowing easy editing via my software.
Whilst this cable can achieve 8K@60Hz the 4K@120Hz more useful for my work as refresh more important, I do like braided cables and this 2mtr cable a nice length which avoids tight bends when moved, we are told this triple shielded against interference so being close to other equipment should not a problem.
The transmission rate of both video and audio is very good and being a bi-directional cable control is not and issue, this an excellent cable for my use as high speed gaming not part of my itinerary.
Obviously this not the fastest cable available for video and sound but this works well within it’s defined specifications.
I selected the Silkland 10K 8K 4K Micro HDMI to HDMI 2-metre cable to connect my EOS camera’s micro HDMI output to a TV to share my photos. It works perfectly and gives great 4K quality results on the 4K TV.
I also tried this with a video capture unit that I have for capturing the camera displays for training other photographers and again it works exactly as I need.
The cable has a black braided sleeve and metal connectors to make it durable and easy to coil up.
Nice construction with a braided oversheath, but I would have liked a strain relief. I have a box of computer cables, so I prefer cables such as HDMI to be marked with their classification. The issue here, is that I would probably confuse the mini HDMI for a mini USB.
Silkland 10K 8K 4K Micro HDMI to HDMI 2M, [8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz] Micro HDMI 2.1, 48Gbps, HDR, eARC cable arrived in a brown branded Ziploc bag.
The cable arrived with plastic end caps on the HDMI cable for added protection which I very much appreciated.
The cable is quite stiff and it has braided materials surrounding the wires, the HDMI connections are gold plated and seems to provide a good solid connection.
I’ve tested this on my raspberry pi 5 and it provided a good clean crisp picture, there wasn’t any artifacts or fuzziness to the image which was great!
So this HDMI certainly did the job for I what needed it for.
Overall, I have no quality complaints with this cable it exceeded my expectations, and is excellent for the price especially considering the 40% discount code.
I got this Silkland 8K 60Hz Micro-HDMI to HDMI cable to connect a Raspberry Pi 5 to a computer monitor. The specification of the Pi 5 is higher than previous versions with a, “substantial uplift in graphics performance from an 800MHz VideoCore VII GPU; dual 4Kp60 display output over HDMI”
My old cables were no longer up to the job. This cable is one jump ahead of the current Pi 5, as it is not only capable of 4K 60Hz, but also 8K 60Hz and should therefore be future proof!
The cable looks well made with braided wire connecting dark grey anodised aluminium plugs. I am pleased to see the specification is printed on the connectors, “HDMI 8K”. This will help to identify it if it gets mixed with other cables.
There is minimal strain relief on the plugs, but the cable is so thick that I suspect any bending forces would damage the socket before the wire, especially at the Micro-HDMI end!
The diameter of the wire and size of the plugs could be an issue and it is worth considering if you really need a connector with the stellar performance offered by this one if it is offset by the requirement for stiff, thick, wires. In my case I chose the 2 meter variant to allow space for the wire to gently curve away from the Pi, but as you can see in my pictures it still dominates it.
Currently I am only using one monitor, but it is reassuring to see that a similar sized plug will fit in the other Micro-HDMI socket on the Pi if expand my system.
This 2 metre micro-HMDI cable from Silkland comes packaged in a brown envelope with just the simple Silkland branding printed on the outside.
Inside we have the cable, coiled with the help of a couple of twist ties along with a ‘Declaration of Conformity’ sheet.
The cable connects a device with a micro-HDMI port to another with a full-size HDMI. A typical use would be displaying the output of a microcontroller on a large monitor, or live-streaming a 4K or higher camera through a computer’s capture card.
The two HDMI connectors are very solidly built. They both have gold-coloured housings with gold-plated pins inside. They both have short lead-in housings but neither end has a flexible cable sleeve.
The cable itself initially feels quite solid and is relatively inflexible, but running your fingers down it soon straightens it out and it subsequently keeps that shape well. So it’s not exactly flexible but it is quite malleable and robust. The outer sheath has a pleasingly rough texture, providing good grip.
We used the cable to connect our 4K camcorder to a 4K TV and it worked just as expected, with video and multi-channel audio all present and correct. We also tried it with an HDMI capture device and again it worked well.
All in all, we are impressed by the quality, finish and effectiveness of this cable and will continue to use it for our live video streaming.
I have to use a micro HDMI to HDMI cable as I regularly have to connect my camera to my computer for live feeds and similar things like that.
With a decent nice thickness, the connectors look quite durable and so hopefully will last over time. Unsuprisingly, it worked perfectly well after I connected my camera to my Mac. I use 4K where it worked perfectly, so cannot tell how it handles 8K, but I suspect it’ll do fine given the cable’s rating.
Very nicely made from the looks of things.
The micro-HDMI connector on one end of this makes the cable very useful for connecting:
(a) Cameras
(b) Suitable pre-USB 3.1 tablets
(c) Tricky cable runs through wiring channels or behind wall cavities where space is at a premium, or you don’t want to drill a big hole (an adapter – not included – can bring it back to standard HDMI)
My setup is 4K/50Hz and this cable performs fine. The cable itself is of reasonable quality – there is adequate braiding and some (could be a little longer) protection where the cable meets the connector at either end.
The cable performs as it should ans is decent value.
Fab fast and 2m long Micro HDMI to HDMI cable to link my cam to monitor.
Gold end connections and braided cable. The connections fit snuggly also.
It’s 8k@60Hz so the images are incredible on a 8k monitor.
8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, 4K@144Hz Full HD resolution. I’m also doing a build on a Raspberry Pi at present, so I know it’s gonna come in very handy for that too.

Silkland 10K 8K 4K Micro HDMI to HDMI 2M, [8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz] Micro HDMI 2.1, 48Gbps, HDR, eARC – Review
This cable features a great quality black braid with gold-plated connectors. The cable is 2M in length so is ideal for most conditions. HDMI 2.1 supports 4k@120Hz, this is good enough for even the highest resolution and refresh rate displays of today.
For 13.99, at the time of review, this is a fair price for the quality and length of cable. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a mini HDMI to HDMI cable.
