Whislt these are by no means as robust, or tough as the main brand versions – these appear to work equally as well. Easily added into the find-my apps and also very easy to pick up on the map. I’ve left one in my office and managed to track it down to within a few feet quite easily.
Overall, if these can be had for roughly half the price of the main brand – I’d be happy to recommend. Otherwise, I would admittedly say, that the originals are a bit tougher in build.
These Tracker Tags are a lifesaver for anyone who loses things often (like me!). They’re compatible with Apple’s Find My network, making it easy to locate misplaced keys, wallets, luggage, or anything else you attach them to. Here’s what makes them fantastic:
Seamless Find My Integration (iOS): Pair the tags easily with your iPhone or other Apple device. With the Find My app, locating lost items is a breeze.
Worldwide Tracking: Whether you’re at home or traveling, the Find My network allows you to track your tagged items virtually anywhere.
Bonus: Android Compatibility (with a caveat): While primarily designed for Apple’s Find My network, there’s now an Android app called “Tracker Detect” that can scan for these trackers once they’re registered with iOS. This is a great added layer of security, especially if you suspect someone might be using a tracker tag to follow you
Overall, these Tracker Tags offer excellent value and peace of mind. The seamless Find My integration and bonus Android compatibility make them a top choice for anyone who wants to keep track of their belongings.
I’ve used a few of these tags before and the operation of each has been the same. These ones have a handy little lanyard to put on a handle or the like and it works just fine. Fortunately this time I did read the item description as it’s for iOS only which I have. It’s a double pack too which is great.
I was a bit skeptical of these as they are basically 8 each which is a bargain !
You get two in the packet a white one and a black one , they are quite small in size and have a removable cap which is where the battery is , so it is replaceable
To turn it on you long press the tracker the opposite side to the battery cover ( just press the whole thing between your fingers).
You then go into “Find my” in your Apple Phone and click on add an item , it finds the tracker and you have to name it and that’s it !
Once you have it added there is a few things you can do from inside the app , like see where it is on a map and play a sound through it and tell your phone to notify you when you have “left it (or what it is attached to ) behind” .
When you are in close range it uses your Bluetooth and when out of Bluetooth range apparently it can use the million of Apple phones out there to guide you to it , I have only tried it at my house when I am at work 16 miles away and yes it did pick it up and tell me it was there
So yes for the price it is very useful and could help you retrieve something.
My little niggles are , they come with a long strap each , why ? Its not as if I am going to leave it swinging from something by the strap ,just seems a bit pointless,
Secondly , the instructions booklet , I had to use a magnifying glass to read them , I kid you not , ridiculously small print !
Thirdly and maybe a bit more important , when you get it to play a noise to find it when you are close , it is not loud enough, I “lost” mine it was in my jogging bottom pocket in the top of my laundry basket i.e. not covered , I was standing right next to the laundry basket and I couldn’t hear it
However that aside , these are bargain trackers, that are good quality and worth the cost ,they may be the difference to losing something and no
For a recent trip abroad I was sporting some Tiles trackers which seemed to work really well, other than one of the tags seemingly telling me that my suitcase was in a Starbucks in Heathrow Terminal 5, but, hey, it wasn’t as it turned out. However, it was a decent experience so I was keen to grab some more at some point.
Lord Vine furnished me with these Aplimln trackers so I grabbed them.
A pair of them (one black, one white) appeared in very small packaging along with some straps and a woeful set of instructions. The wording on the instructions, such as they were, are tiny, very tiny, and I had issues reading them.
That said, if you’ve used other trackers this is easy to set up, well it was once I realised that these are for iOS devices only. I had mistakenly read that it was compatible with the Find My app on iOS and assumed that there was another app for download for Android. There isn’t, it isa built for iOS only. There’s no other app.
The tags connected to my iOS device pretty much immediately, there was literally nothing for me to do other than to search for the tag and add it. So simple, and it works fairly well.
The tags themselves are smaller than my Tiles, but not as well built so longevity may not be one of this products strong suits.
I don’t have Airtags but they seem like a decent alternative if you’ve bought into the iOS infrastructure.
These are a pretty reasonable alternative to Apple’s trackers, they are significantly cheaper and have replaceable batteries.
They are easy enough to pair by going into findmy on your iPhone (will not work with Android). Once paired you can go into findmy and see where the item was last seen. Being a third party device, you cannot use the fine detailed tracking, but you can sound the beeper if you are close enough. I have been able to sound it in the next room through a cavity brick wall. The volume isn’t the loudest but is audible.
The fact you get two in the pack is a bonus. I like to use AirTags for the important stuff, then these for less important things that I still want to keep track of.
Nice alternative tracker to an Apple AirTag that works with the find my network. The build quality is ok it is mostly plastic and appears to be sonically welded together. The pairing process is simple where you just need to open the app and click on the plus in the top corner and click add accessory. The only letdown is that unlike AirTags you don’t get the UWB tracking where it will guide you in a direction to find an item so it is only sound you will need to rely on.
Aplimln’s two pack of tags includes a white and black tag and two wrist straps; there aren’t any key loops. The tags are 33mm rounded squares. Inside the battery compartment is a CR2032 battery. The tags are made from a cheap feeling plastic; and as one of the surfaces is a button its quite flexible. The battery door is easy to open with a driver or coin; but doesn’t seem to open accidentally. The tags aren’t weather sealed; though they are low voltage so it may not be a big deal if they get a bit of rain on them.
Adding the tags to my apple find my account was simple. Run the app; choose to add other item. Squeeze the tag till it beeps and it comes up on screen to pair it. You give it a name and an icon and its paired.
Besides the build quality, the main functional gap between these tags and the apple tags is it doesn’t have the precision finding mode; I also didn’t get an alert I left them behind but that maybe I didn’t get a setting right. It does give you a position for your keys on the map, but it won’t guide you the last 10m to find them in the sofa. It will play a sound if you ask in the app which helps.
For something to throw in your suitcase or backpack when you travel, they work just fine. If you have a ring to get them on your keys, they are going to be easier to find.
The Tracker Tag 2 Pack is a versatile solution for keeping track of your valuables. Compatible with Apple Find My (iOS only), these smart Bluetooth trackers can be used to locate keys, luggage, wallets, pets, and more. Ideal for anyone prone to misplacing items, these trackers offer worldwide tracking capabilities, ensuring you can locate your belongings no matter where you are.
The compact design makes them easy to attach to various items, and their robust functionality ensures reliable performance. Simply pair the trackers with your iOS device using the Apple Find My app, and you’ll be able to see the last known location of your items, set up notifications if they move out of range, and even trigger a sound to help you find them nearby.
Whether you’re traveling, at home, or on the go, the Tracker Tag 2 Pack provides peace of mind by keeping your important items within reach and easily locatable.
These are a good and cheaper alternative to the air tag and they also integrate with Find My app on your phone. They have a replaceable battery. The build quality isn’t as good but ideal if you want a cheap one to throw in the luggage or bag. They are not waterproof but splash proof so they are ok in light rain. Good value since you get 2 in the pack and you don’t just need to use Bluetooth because it will work with the find my network. Easy to pair as well. The speaker is very quiet though so in lost mode you can’t hear it very well.
This pack of two smart tags is very helpful to have on keys or in a suitcase to keep track of things just in case you should lose them.
It’s a small square size and less that a centimetre thick so not too intrusive to slide in a pocket of a bag etc, but one of the good features is that it has the keyring loop to attach to your keyring on the top edge corner. It’s very tricky to get the battery cap off for when you need to change battery unlike the Apple one which is quick and easy.
Adding to the Find My App is easy and I am really happy it uses the inbuilt app so it’s not a case of having yet another app for a Bluetooth based device.
Overall, for 18.99 it’s a good 2 pack of tag finder that uses the Apple FindMy network so works just like their air tags but at a fraction of the cost. It is plastic though compared to the Apple ones so it will be more fragile so consider this when you pick its location.
Great Tags for good price. The only thing what could be improved is the build quality but performs very well no issues at all. It pairs with iPhone easily without any issues and operate how it should. Will also notify you when you will go away from it bit far. Great feature is replaceable battery vs build in quick easy swap. So far no issues found thank you.
This Tag is squared shaped, lightweight to hold and comes as a keying. Compared to the Apple AirTag, it feels less premium, a bit plasticky, however it does the job and is much cheaper. It is straightforward to set up; click to turn on, hold down until you hear 3 beeps and it’s ready to pair via the ‘Find My’ app. After pairing the tag to the App on iPhone; you can name the tag on the App, e.g., suitcase, keys, etc. and select an emoji. On the App you can see the tag on ‘Apple Maps’ and select directions to head towards the tag. Once you are close you can select play noise to hear the sound from the tag.
Functionality wise, it is the same as an Apple AirTag, the only difference is how it looks and feels: less premium, and it costs a fraction of the price.
I have a few of these trackers/tags now and what really like about them is they’re so easy to set up and use.
These tags connect to Apples ‘Find My’ app by selecting the ‘add other item, option. One thing you need to make sure you do is name your tag as if you have a few like me you want to know which one you need to find. I have named mine depending on what i use them for so i have one that’s luggage 1 then luggage 2 and so on and in my notes i assign the tags to the luggage and note who’s bag has which tag, same with keys and the dogs tag just has his name. This helps me keep track and with the luggage it depends who’s going so i didn’t want to name the tags and have to change it.
The app lets you know when the tag has dropped out of bluetooth range then depending on what the tag is attached to you can search for it or track it to see where it is, as for luggage. I like the peace of mind when i see that the tag and luggage has made it onto the plane so i know my case haste been left behind or put on the wrong flight.
If you are within bluetooth range and cant find an item for instance you can play a sound to assist you in finding it. This works well for keys and wallets in the house but less useful outside as the sound doesn’t play loud enough to hear unless you’re close by.
You can keep an eye on the battery in the app and replace before they run out.
