Sure, this game doesn’t have the official club names, but you can clearly feel its arcady gameplay roots in Sensible Soccer from back in the days. It gets highly addictive in career mode, where you can rise up in the leagues trying to improve your squad. And then it’s got the national team of Luxembourg (although not with the right players) and four Luxembourgish clubs, something many other Football games don’t feature. As someone from Luxembourg, this is a huge plus for me.

Set the camera and difficulty as you like and this game is great fun loads of real players & old school fake teams.
Fun v AI, or with two controllers. Only thing is no PVP online yet, but apparently coming soon.. also cant seem to play when I’m offline, but no special account needed once I have signal, it just works.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI got this on the Switch eStore, not really expecting too much TBH. Back in the day, I used to play Sensi to death on my Mega Drive. Just the original game Sensible Soccer, I didn’t play any of the later versions. That was good enough and massively addictive. This new game from the original developer captures that feel perfectly. At first, it is does have a learning curve, even for Sensi veterans, but you’ll soon get it. The key is to switch to camera 5 (long overhead) and switch the controls to hardcore. It then has a very similar gameplay feel to Sensi, though also has some noticeable control improvements that give it more depth.

The downside is that the career mode is a bit silly, nothing like reality. I also find it a little annoying that you’re constantly facing the sack in competitions (not so bad for cups, but for leagues it’s a pain). It would be nice to turn this option off and be able to just play.

Anyway, overall it is really good fun and the perfect pick up and play footy game on Switch. The game loads quickly and you can dive pretty much straight in to the action without any major loading screens.
