In a nutshell:
Things I liked:
+ Nothing to dislike. Works fine at 4K 60Hz and also at 1440p 165Hz (my two tested resolution/refresh rate combos). Tested with a Asus Zenbook laptop.
+ Small, portable.
+ 13 is reasonable.
Things I didn’t like:
– Nothing.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, absolutely. It simply does the job it’s supposed to. I haven’t tested at 4K 120Hz, but at my tested resolutions it was absolutely fine.
My Windows laptop has its own 2K display and I use an external 4K monitor but I also need to project to a large 100″ screen for presentations which means a third output using an extended screen rather than a mirrored screen. This is an important distinction because most Apple IOS operation systems are unable to do this so you should check first unless a mirror is all you want to do. This adaptor has worked perfectly converting a USB-C port into another video output. I have proved it does do 4K fine and of course, it is nice and neat to pack away in my laptop case for any time I need it. At the price, I feel it is a bargain for the extra functionality it has given to my technology.
