Product has lost a star for me because the screws that hold the extendable arms in place are so fiddly to put in. My fridge has a wider shelf, and I just can’t get the screws in place and in tight with all corners at right angles. I dropped my original glass shelf during cleaning. I thought about paying double the price of the plastic one to replace it, but worried about getting the right fit. The plastic shelf is sturdy. It’s a good price, and arrived in 24 hours. I’ve bought from Spares2go before and I’ll use them again.
when it is difficult to order a precise size for your fridge this did the trick! You can be left with a big gap from one side or a smaller from both sides. But I only expanded it from one side and the gap has become usefuk when you place taller object at the shelf below (e.g. bottles)
I replaced the top shelf in my fridge as it was a wine storage shelf, this expandable fridge shelf was easy to fit and did the job fine but remember, as you extend the shelf to the left and right it creates a gap on both sides.
Our old “overflow” fridge had most of its’ glass shelves collapse, due to the deterioration of the plastic rims which held them into the wall ribs. The makers could only supply highly-priced total shelves as replacements. These adjustable shelves were so simple to fit, and work beautifully to support the existing glass. Competitive price, adaptable to various model fridges(and freezers?) and a great solution.
Very good product..Very happy I got this..its surprisingly quite sturdy!!..the screws are a bit tricky to get in and one of mine couldn’t go in think the thread got damaged..apart from that..its working well without 1screw..and iv have had no issues with it..can organise my food properly again!!..
This was bought as an additional shelf for the caravan fridge, it was fiddly to set to size and then to find that there were no screws supplied with it. You need the tiniest of screws to keep the shelf at the required size and we found it hard to find some, b and q only had them in packs of 100 which were 10 therefore not a cheap shelf and now left with 96 screws we won’t use . Once it was set up it has stayed in place even when travelling, which is good, but come on seller supply the screws to go with it and this would have been 5 stars.
