I received this to review as part of the Amazon vine program.
This is a multi part item. It has a shoulder strap with an integrated moulded mount. I have tried this with my gopro and the provided screw and it works fine although as a woman I feel it’s not designed for my body and wouldn’t wear it.
The second part — the reason I got this – is the rucksack mount. This almost resulted in a one star review but I was able to figure out the issue. The mount requires a fitting to be clipped to it to allow the gopro to be mounted to that fitting. The clip fitting provided fitted on the rucksack mount but the one screw provided in the pack didn’t initially work with it. After trying for a while, and writing a one star review, I managed to prise the silver bit off the mount and discovered that there was black plastic stuck in the hole, presumably from when the holes were bored in the mount. I was then able to get it to work with the screw provided and also with gopro branded screws. The rucksack mount can be rotated 360degrees so you can alter your angle of recording. My rucksack has thin leather straps and this isn’t working with that — I would say a rucksack with wider shoulder straps and crucially a chest strap is needed as otherwise the shoulder strap moves about due to the weight of the camera and the footage isn’t steady. With the right rucksack I think this would work perfectly. I use my gopro for light action recordings such as footage of walking and hiking. For more intensive activities I would always use gopro branded mounts.
