A new trend has these 3D printed action figures become a fun new fidget toy craze but I truly believe they have some genuine real world uses outside of play and stress relief. First off, this has all the parts already broken from the usual parts holder sheets so all you need to do is assemble it together and for this, the instructions are a little on the basic side but still easy and intuitive to follow. The action figure once assembled can be positioned in any way you wish with each joint fully poseable and it comes with an array of hand types and weapons to really set the position how you want and this one comes with wings which gives it a “deluxe edition” feel and look that I feel elevates it over other styles of this product.
But the real world use from something as affordable of this is multitude. For example, if you are into art or possible an art student, using this to pose so you can see and work your drawing accordingly is a fantastic asset as it would be if you were to use this for animation such as stop motion if that is something you do. These figures can offer far more than a basic toy or fidget toy and for that, I give this 4 stars and pair this with one or more and you have a collection that can be arranged into any fun action display.
This small action figure robot dummy comes plainly bagged with a choice of several different styles of hand on each side (fingers, rocker, pointing, fist and tubed for weapon holding). Two of the weapons attach directly to the stump while the swords require the tubed hand. The 3D printed plastic looks better matte than glossy but the finish is OK, it’s the hands than need cleaning up to remove excess plastic.
The movement is stiff and sometimes I pull parts off just wanting to move them but they fit back on easily enough and overall I am impressed at the poses I can make with the robot, it balances well. The design style is pretty good and I like the contrasting green and black colours, I’m very happy with this action figure.
Really good light weight figures. Do come apart but with some attention do go back together, my son and I used them to make stop motion videos. Perfect for tha
These two action figures and accessories arrive in a resealable pouch with everything inside.
Everything in the kit is 3d printed on an FDM printer with a low layer height as you can’t see most of the layers, but you can feel them if you run your finger over the parts. They are well put together and feel quite robust as you rotate and bend each moveable piece, but it’s not built to withstand heavy play by young children. I would suggest the main role for these would be to aid drawing a humanoid as you have a lot of control over the joint movements and can get them in any shape a human can get into so these act as a great aid to drawing.
The amount of manoeuvrability is quite astounding, and they have more movement than your typical toy as they are designed for the flexibility to be human accurate, and it does that well. The weapons are ok, but the grey swords suffer from a bit of bending so not completely flat. The buster sword is flat though with no issue which is the main weapon I’d be interested in. There are different hand shapes available, and these can be pulled off the grid and pushed on to the model, so you have certain hand gestures. There are a few bits of stringing left over from the printing process, but these can be pulled off without issue and is just something that happens with FDM printing.
Overall, these are nice models to aid with drawing. They have a really good scope of movement and can be positioned in most stances you can think of
These pair of plastic action figures in the colours black and red.
The action figures are amazingly articulated for every angle you can think of even including the torso and neck.
With these figures are 4 plastic weapons that can be held by the figures with a collection of different hands that can be attached to the figures.
In fact the only thing that is letting this set down are the weapons which look 3D printed as they have details on one side and then on the back it is just blank flat plastic which is a shame.
Overall this is a great pair of articulated action figures with accompanied hand sets its just a shame the weapons look very lacklustre.
This is a pair (one red, one green) of articulated miniature figures. That kind of like an action figure that meets a crash test dummy, in that they are quite featureless however they have many points of articulation. A nice touch here is that they come with different different hands to allow different positions and depending what toy weapon you want it to hold.
They’re not the greatest value for money because for 18 you don’t seem to get a lot of product for your cash, however the emphasis here is very much on the articulation and near perfect human like stances or positions you can achieve.
