I’ve been swimming all my life since I was a small child and had never considered wearing earplugs until last year when I was on holiday in Devon, UK.
The weather at the time was inclement so I didn’t get the chance to swim in the sea during my stay so I took my daily swim in the holiday park’s private swimming pool. The water in the pool was monitored and tested at least once a day, I assumed, to keep it clean and safe so I had no concerns about the water quality. However, towards the end of the week I lost hearing in one of my ears. A visit to my GP confirmed I had developed a case of “swimmer’s ear” – a condition often caused by infected pool water entering the ear canal whilst swimming!
I ordered these swimming earplugs in preparation for this year’s stay at the same holiday park – I didn’t want to risk another infection!
I’m very pleased with these swimming earplugs. They are very easy to fit into your ears and stay put even when diving and swimming lengths underwater, so do just what they promise. The little curved arms on the outside make positioning and removing them very easy.
As you would expect, when you wear them, they cut out quite a lot of noise. At first I found this a little disconcerting but, when I got used to it, I found it quite pleasant to block out the general din of a busy pool and enjoyed the “Zen feeling” of swimming in virtual silence just listening to my breathing and heartbeat.
They come as a 3 pair pack, in different colours and each has its own storage container to keep them safe and clean – ideal for family members who want to wear earplugs whilst swimming or to identify the sets should you want to use different ones for swimming, and bathing.
I don’t usually get on well with ear plugs, but I’m really pleased with these. The ear plugs are very comfortable and are great for keeping my ears dry as one of them does collect water when swimming. The design is just right for my ear as some plugs tend to fall out easily. So far these don’t.
Getting three pairs for just over 4 each is quite good value for a product that is comfortable and does the job well, and I like the little storage boxes, a nice touch!

These ear plugs are comfortable and work well for stopping water getting into my ears while swimming.
They’re a good size for my ears so they stay in pretty well, and the little wing on them helps keep them in place. They’re one size though, so may not be good for all ear types.
They come with a little carry case to keep them clean and dry, and so you don’t lose them loose in your bag.
The noise reduction feature is about the same as any ear plug.
So these are good for those people that they fit, they are comfortable and they do the job of keeping water out and somewhat dampening the sound without completely removing the ability to hear.
They are relatively easy to clean and they come with a nice little box to carry them in so you don’t lose them in your bag.
This is a reasonable price for a triple pack (3 pairs)
They work pretty well for me but not so good for my wife, I think this is one of those occasions where you just have to try out.
These ear plugs dampen the surrounding sound, but do not block it out completely so you can have conversations with them in. It fits easily in the ear canal and it’s comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
It is constructed of rubber and a solids plastic stem. They perform well at keeping water or off your ears and are easy to remove.
