These worked well on their first job pruning yesterday. They were effective only on branches less than 25cm diameter – but that is what other more expensive tree loppers also state. For me, the loppers paid off for this one job so all future pruning is a bonus. There was a problem with what I thought would be the easiest part: screwing in the nuts, which required more brute force than my old hands had; the holes for the nut through the middle align only when the other nuts are sufficiently tightened.
This is great value for money. I am a 56yr old woman with an over 5 Metres high hedge. I could use it . It’s sharp very easy to use and assemble. The string is plenty long enough. It’s light weight and easy to disassemble and store . I am very impressed but very exhausted because once I started I had to get it done.
Well made just what I was looking for But String was too short by 3ft when fully extended pitted brand new But a bit of String tired on end .if I’d have know I would have sent it back but didn’t realise.???
I am pleased with them, yes they do bend a bit on full length but they are much longer than standard ones, and the rope is short I just added a bit of rope, and you have to screw new sections together, I keep in sections of 3 so easy to extend.
But for the price they are very good value and as I will only be using them occasionally, the minor problems are not a problem.
They are good value for the money.
Reaches those high branches and cuts easily through thicker branches than I expected. There’s some bend as you cut but nothing too bad. Only problem is the rope is shorter than poles so had to extend it slightly.
